Unless you don't plan to sleep do not stay here. Every night either people are checking in or returning from bars after midnight. Staff does not care how much noise is made in dorms. If someone checks in after midnight staff cares nothing about guests already asleep in rooms when showing them the dorm room. Showering between 1am and 4 am in dorms is common. Staff sleep on couch at night, oblivious to who or when people come in. No rule for being respectful of others sleeping at night. Reported to owner on day 10. 4 am again woken up and kept awake. When reported to owner he laughed in my face. 4:30 am prayers played outside on loud speakers every morning. None guests come and go at night. This is very unsafe for all others staying there. You can not put your own lock on lockers. No respect by owner or night staff. Not a place for none smokers to stay. Mentioned staff smoking beside front door blows into none smoking area. Owner sits there and has a smoke with them afterwards. Guests smoking in none smoking common room in front of staff and they say nothing. Bad guests are ignored. Good guests that complain are treated like they are in the wrong. Lady's working there and 1 older male very nice but does not make up for night staff. Smooth tile floors very slippery with bare feet. Mostly clean except common room bathrooms are dirty, avoid using them. No kitchen for quests, not even to make noodles. Staff shoes left in front of front door is a tripping hazard. No hand soap by any sinks. How clean are peoples hands if only washed in cold water?

This place feels like Home in Bali! Wow! I am a solo woman traveller and I cannot thank myself to make a decision to stay at this place, the staff is amazing friendly and ready to help goes beyond to help and I meet most amazing people I will probably stay friends with for life.... This place is very Safe, always full with people & alive, never a dull moment! there breakfast Menu is the best.

Lokal is close to the airport which made flying in late at night easy for us! The staff are so friendly & helpful — they helped us find SIM cards, rent a scooter & recommended great spots for us to go! It was the best hostel I’ve been at! The WiFi isn’t great so just keep that in mind if you’re reliant on it.

Great hostel for a quick stop after a late flight into Bali. Very modern and clean. Staff are very helpful and keen to assist with any questions. Pool is great to cool down and the cafe is cheap and cheerful. Great coffee.

Great value for the stay: What i liked: the staff were exceptional. They greeted me with a smile and a hello everyday. They also helped me source a bike for which i was super grateful for. They also cleaned the room everyday. I stayed in a female form 4 bed and the room had 2 bathrooms which was amazing. Their resturant has a few options but amazing food. I loved eating breakfast there everyday. What I didn't like: the couch in the main area smelt awful and desperately needs a wash. The bedsheets and blankets had a bit of a musty smell to them too and i had to use air freshner on mine. The AC in my room had a weird smell if you kept it above 21 degrees so it needed to be serviced. But it worked so I'm happy about that. The bed i slept on probably had a couple of springs broken or something so it would sink in but other than that it was very comfortable.

Lokal Bali Hostel is and amazing place. For me the best place in Bali. The friendliest and helpful stuff I have ever seen. Very clean and very comfortable. Nice Café and Spa next door. Nothing to complain about. It’s near to the airport therefore perfect for the first or last days in Bali.

Always like bed light & charging socket. Also book shelf. Reception organised my ferry to Nusa Lembongan which included pick-up 🙂

Very good Hostel, our group of 4 shared one of the bunk bed rooms. This room was very comfortable and clean. Best bunk beds I have ever slept on which was nice. Staff were helpful, the pool was refreshing and there is a café attached that did a good coffee and breakfast but only opened at 10am

This is always my first stop when visiting Bali. I mostly do all preparation like buying a SIM card, withdrawing money, shopping etc before moving to other areas. The staffs are cool and even remembered me from my last stay!

People are really sweet, nice and helpful! I had an amazing time. The room was clean when I arrived, with the A/C. The hostel has the Wi-Fi, a swimming-pool and a laundry service. If you need something or have questions, you can easily ask at the reception and they'll do their best to help and answer you :)

Near airport, not regret stayed 2 nights earlier and last day. When arrived early you can put the backpack there. Even after check out time still can chill out there but not in the room. Can rent the towel when need to get shower after check out. The place is clean, the bed is big and comfy, and the highlight at the hostel is always bathroom, it is very clean and hot water is running. There is bidet when you do not get used to with toilet paper The staff is amazing, Putri and Yutik and all the staff are super helpfull. The hostel looks alike the pic, it is recommended!

Stayed here for 3 days was great decision during my solo trip in Bali! Had a great time with the staffs especially Mba Yati! They’re beyond kind and helpful, wish I could stay there longer. The toilet was super clean and the bed was comfy. This hostel might be amazing for extrovert, but as an introvert I feel like this hostel is quite calm. This hostel is home for solo travelers where you could share, hear, and make stories here. Would definitely visit here for another solo trip!

Amazing hostel. The most friendliest staff. They made us feel so welcomed and loved, also were super helpful when it came to any questions we may have had. We were in an 8 bed dorm, each bed was larger than any hostel dorm bed i have ever been in, each bed had a curtain too so you can have your privacy. Super clean. Overall such an amazing experience, highly recommend. 😁

I just walked 15 minutes by foot from the airport to the hostel! It's very easy to reach. The building looks new! It's a cosy and chill atmosphere with a wonderful pool. The staff is so friendly. The rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable. My room had a view to the pool. Restaurants, shops, laundry bike rent is nearby.

I've stayed at Lokal Hostel twice already on my trip to Indonesia and plan to stay at least once more. It's convenient to the airport, but it's the service and staff that make me come back. The owner is often around in the evenings with his family and they provide a free dinner on Saturdays, the pool is a quiet place to escape Kuta, and the beds are the biggest I have experienced out of any hostel I've stayed at. Really nice staff! It is a peacefull, hygienic hostel and really good price for what they offer you! The hostel is located in a pretty crowded street with a lot of good warungs. It is quit hidden though. You only have a nice view on the garden with the swimming pool.

A really great hostel, beautiful gardens, comfortable beds, air conditioned dorms, clean building, lovely staff, and a fantastic café for breakfast. I'd highly recommend staying here!

My friends and I had a very pleasant stay at Lokal for almost a week. The staff were incredibly helpful there. The beds were big and the lockers provided were spacious. The location had good amenities nearby including convenience stores, cafes and small warungs. Would recommend if you’re looking to stay in kuta! Ps: there’s a fantastic chicken noodle soup slightly across the street (called Mie Ayam Bakso Solo "Remaja”), you wont regret it!

Pros: 1. Fantastic staff. Friendly and polite. Speak fluent English. 2. Very very clean. This is the only hostel in Indonesia that I can walk barefoot in without my feet feeling sticky/dirty. 3. Location is close to airport (although it’s complicated to walk there, as you have to cross some highways and find ways around high fences). Cons: 1. Some of the bunk beds creak a lot. It’s a real pain for sleep. 2. They give you one free small bottle of water. After that they charge you 5000 Rupiah to refill!

Wonderful hostel with very friendly staff, clean rooms. Pros: - Located near the airport (less than 5 minutes by bike/car), so it's great if you have a late arrival/early departure. - Very clean beds, free rental towel, and spacious lockers. - There is a cafe located next door (Lokal Café Bali) with really nice breakfast options. - Wi-fi is fast and reliable. Cons: - When I was using the common space, the lady at the check-in counter was speaking and laughing very loudly on the phone, so that was quite distracting. I think staff members, especially, should be an example and be more courteous towards others in shared spaces. I think this hostel is a great value and perfect for short-term stays (day before departure / first night of arrival). I would choose this hostel for my future stops in Denpasar.

Perfectly located for a good start in Bali. The staff is very friendly and we could always find someone, if we had a question. Beds are comfortable, it’s pretty quiet at night and there’s even a pool directly behind the house. What makes this Hostel perfect is the fact that you can reach it by foot from the airport.

Great space for travellers laying off from their flight. Bed is cozy with good privacy. Locker is also provided. The room is air conditioned but the bed might be a bit hot. Good location near to beach via bike about 10min. Good place for Muslim too with good choice of halal food, marts and even a mosque.

This hostel is the best in Bali. The location is very good, close to the airport and beach. Is good to start or finish your travel in Bali in this place that i recommend at 200% !!! The owner’s familly is so friendly and very nice and helpful ! The beds are very comfortable, the bathrooms are very clean, good swimming pool and very good breakfast ! If you want meet peoples the place is for you ! I will be back there the next time in Bali for sure !

I’ve stayed for 2 nights and this is the best hostel in the town. I’ve ate delicious smoothies bowl and coffee. Room are clean and its safe to stay here because the locker not using key but number lock. Staff are so friendly, they helped me when i need something.

Lokal Bali is a super super hostel. One must stay when travelling solo or on budget. 1. It is at prime location in Kuta, near international airport. 2. washrooms and entire hostel area is super clean and tidy. 3. Staff abides by the rules everytime. 4. Special Mention of their staff. Putri, Yuti are super super host for you, they are super friendly and make you feel very comfortable all the time. Staff can be counted on everytime for every need. Best hostel I have ever been, literally 15’ walk from the airport. It looks like it comes out of an architecture magazine. The dorm is the best I have ever experienced, almost doesn’t feel like a dorm. Bed is very big and te locker work perfectly. Friendly staff and awesome pool make it perfect.
