Worst experience ever! I was on a solo travel spree and I assumed staying in hostel during last leg of vacation will make it complete and I still despise the decision. Anyway. Quick overview - Check in is pretty confusing. They give you some random wristband. Which is still fine but the guy at the reception was overly loud to some girl (((at the RECEPTION))) during a check in. Luckily someone helped me through the rooms.it was a dormitory and very clean. Most of the girls were in the pool and constantly there is a lot of noise and mismanaged outside area. The washroom was okay! Night was terrible as people apparently were drunk and were constantly coming out and going in. All the females in my dorm are coughing and 1 complained about fever.I planned my stay for 2 days but the vibe was so bad,had to rush to Ubud for next day. I requested them for a money back for one day which they denied. I understood as moving out was imperative. I have stayed in various hostels but the people and crowd do follow certain decorum/ this wasn’t clearly for me.

Farm hostel is an amazing place to stay. Very well set out hostel. Staff are well organized. The reason I gave it a 2 star is the coffee needs some serious work on presentation and quality. Coffee is the first part to a travelers day. There is no place for a bad coffee.

Stayed for two nights before flying off to my next destination. The staff at reception were very kind and courteous towards me and even helped me receive a medical package. The female dorm was quite spacious and nicely cooled via AC. The beds are big and the space to put things by your head is a nice touch. My mattress was extremely bad though and you could feel every little bit of metal wiring since there was no padding left. The beds also make quite some noise when you move in it. The bathrooms are ensuite but outside, I had no issues with that. Breakfast is more a snack than an actual breakfast and that is how you should consider it to be. Something to help you start your day and nothing more. Since my flight left quite late there was no issue leaving my bags behind, using the common area and even showering before I left for the airport. The location is decent and I found it nice that it is not on the main street. Parties end at 10:30pm which is beautiful for the people that want to sleep at a reasonable hour. I did hear a lot about how the owner treats his staff/guests from guests, which is questionable. Yet, I have no experience in this matter. I overall enjoyed my stay here.

the BEST hostel i’ve ever stayed! starting from the beautiful 2 pools perfect to socialise, everyone chill there during the day and there’s a different event at the cafe area every night! tattoos nights, beer pong and don’t lose the pub crawl on friday! the rooms are amazing, feels like a resort not a hostel, the jungle toilets and the absolute cleanness of the place and dorms! the staff is so kind and always there to help if u need anything. if you stay at the farm you’ll never regret it!! thanks to everyone, see you next year ❤️❤️❤️

Great location and overall nice amenities in the hostel. Communal area and pool were nice however not enough seating for the capacity of the hostel. I saw in a previous review that this place gave “influencer clique vibes” and I totally agree! The events in the evenings were a good way to meet people, but was always too busy and couldn’t get a seat. If you’re looking for a party hostel in Canggu this is a good option.

Love the hostel, great service and friendly people. Amazing if you are traveling alone and want to meet people as you have a common area to chill and drink in the evening. The pool is also super nice and needed considering the heat. Very clean and free water too.

Everything about The Farm is beautiful. If $17 is in your budget, you should stay here. If it's a bit too pricey, consider splurging for a night. The aesthetic and atmosphere is so well constructed it feels like art to lounge by the pool and do nothing for a few hours. You're sure to make some great friends here.

Literally the nicest hostel I have ever stayed in. Aesthetically this place is super cute, clean, comfortable and stylish. Each dorm has a singular/private bathroom with outdoor showers which are beautiful and kept really clean. The cafe is a great spot for a smoothie, snack, breakfast, lunch or dinner, and the coffee seriously amazing. The hostel environment is respectful, but social, and the staff is fun and friendly. Perfect location. I will not stay anywhere else next time I am in Canggu!

Amazing hostel, super friendly staff. Very well kept and clean. Beds are large and lockers are also very big, in case you forget your lock toy could buy one. The vibe is great and the food from the restaurant is super delish and not expensive. Definitely recommend if you are staying in the area

Really lovely hostel. The pools are gorgeous. The crowd here is really nice, easy to make friends for solo travellers. Bathrooms are outdoors and really pretty. Close to many of the major party spots; by bike. Breakfast is some self-serve fruit bowl. Could definitely be improved with toast or something as it's more of a snack than breakfast. However, they have more filling options for purchase.

Nice hostel, the price is definitely way too high for a hostel as we have stayed in villas for the same price per night. The beds are super comfortable and the food in the restaurant is nice. It is nice place to relax in the day time. The free breakfast was a bit basic, we were even charged for a splash of milk in our tea every day. The atmosphere was quiet with lots of people working/living there. Not much of a party atmosphere as they turn all the lights off in the common areas at 10pm and remove all the seating. It's not ideal as you can't even sit outside your room and call family as the seating is packed away and it's dark. Although there was not much atmosphere to go out with people, all night long people were turning the AC off and leaving the sliding door wide open for mosquitoes and to let the heat in. The sliding doors are a real problem as nobody ever closes them properly and it's very disturbing trying to sleep next to them. Especially as a female traveller next to a constantly open door that doesn't lock. I think the doors should lock.

My friends and I stayed at this hostel after seeing the pictures online. It is a very beautiful hostel and aesteically pleasing, however the rooms are beds of 8 (in the dorms that we stayed in) and the bathroom in our dorm was almost the same size as the dormitory - they could have utilised this space and created an extra shower or bathroom. You do not always want to use the outdoor showers or bathrooms. The breakfast is not good and very small, there is no coffee unless you pay extra, however certain items we tried on the regular menu tasted really nice. The communal areas are not suited to the capacity of the hostel. There was hardly anywhere to sit at all times and we got the 'influencer clique vibes' from this place and decided to move on. You have to use a wristband at all times and top this up with money to pay for everything - we kind of felt like prisoners. The cashless system doesn't work very well. The check in process was pretty long - they should tell you the rules after you drop your bags into the room or maybe use another option. The social activities here are money making activities rather than an opportunity to bring people together. The Roman pizza isn't as expensive as what The Farm charges. The staff did not seem too happy in this hostel - we felt as though they didn't want to be at their shift. We were reading the reviews of this place online and the owner replies in a very rude manner. We were also told by the guys staying with us that they saw random people enter the dormitories. The security of the place isn't good considering it has a capacity of 100+? Maybe they could have used a similar method for entering the dorms like the wristbands for payment. Be prepared to not get much sleep or rest here. The music is so loud until past 11pm at night. Very party hostel vibe. We were also eating food at night as you cant eat in your rooms and yoiu cannot use the upstairs communal area - we screamed as there was a massive cockroach that entered our food bag and the security said this area is closed now - go to your rooms, go to bed, now. We understand as we made noise but at least speak in a nice manner to guests. Overall - we wouldn't stay here again and wouldn't recommend it to people unless they are a very large group and can sleep through an atomic bomb. Yes, it is very beautiful but that is all.

If you’re in canggu and want to stay in a fun, friendly, and clean environment with international outlets then THIS PLACE IS FOR YOU. From the minute we walked in we were greeted and treated like family. Vince and Mark go above and beyond for their guests. You will not regret staying at this place. Only downside is that your standards for a good hostel will be so high after this place that you won’t like anywhere else🙈

This place is the best hostel experience I've had world wide after 12 years of travelling. Nothing can be faulted about this place as when you arrive, you will never want to leave. It's a mini paradise within canggu that you not regret your time here! Perfect balance of chill to party that can suit anyone's needs. Get excited for your trip to the farm and thank me later!

Second stay at this amazing Hostel. Last time I was in a dorm and this time I’m the private room. I travelled with my boyfriend and we did not feel out of place amongst bachelors and alike. The staff were so helpful and Gabby (host) was a breath of fresh air. This young lady greeted us in preparation for the pub crawl asking if we would attend. When we let her know that we may skip out given how tired we were she in no way peer pressured to persuade us. We ended up going out after a rest and we’re grateful we did as the good company and best vibes made it easy to perk up. Also to mention Gabby protected me from a would be bag thief on the d-floor. If I’m back in Canggu I don’t see the point in staying anywhere else! P.S. Private room bookings only open the month before to give everyone the opportunity. Worth the higher cost than other hostel private rooms.. it’s away from the dorms, very clean and luxurious. Equal to some Hilton hotel rooms.

Great hostel! I've met a lot of friends and enjoyed the pool. The staff is friendly and helpful! The volunteer Camille deserves special praise. Camille's friendliness added a wonderful touch to the hostel's atmosphere, making my stay even more enjoyable. Her positive attitude and willingness to help created a welcoming environment that enhanced the overall experience!

Don’t go to this hostel! On the pictures it seems like a clean and nice hostel, but it is the opposite. The staff is extremely rude and strict. The owner of the hostel is super unfriendly and the only thing he wants, is money by giving out fines. We brought alcohol into the hostel, which was our own mistake, and we were told that we would be given a fine from 250 K and when we left, the owner told us we all had to pay 250 K, really weird. We also had a heavy private familiy matter going on, at like 11 pm, so not in the middle of the night and we were basically told to shut up or otherwise we would be kicked out of the hostel. The rooms were very dirty, bugs everywhere!!!!!! Breakfast was enough for a 4 year old, not for adult people!! Never go to this hostel. Oh and they also canceled my trip on hostel world, so I wouldn’t be able to post a review on that. 1/10 experience

Best experience ever at the hostel! Super clean, nice rooms and amazing staff. Social events every night to meet everyone. Cheap drinks and food too! The Reps at the hostel were great at getting everyone involved. Would love to give a shout out to the amazing HOLLY! Holly made everyone feel so included and welcome. She was a friend to everyone there and sure knew how to get the party started. I had such an amazing time here and did not want to leave.

I used to stay here before COVID when it was still a nice hostel. But if you want a "love island" like experience, this is the place for you. A party hostel influencer style. Not my thing. Good beds and showers from what I remember when I was there in the past and that's the only reason why I give 3 stars. It's a shame what they did with tha place.

Great area, nice pool, nice room. The bed is made everyday that’s a lovely thing. However, be aware that’s a party hostel, if you don’t want to party maybe choose an other hostel but respectful people, quiet from 11pm to 9am

The farm was a great place for me! As a slight introvert it was perfect, I could spend time by myself and I could also choose to join others when I wanted! They are great staff, great location, great party vibe! My stuff felt so secure in the huge lockers that they provide! (All you need is your own lock and it’s safe) Thanks to Oli, Teigan, Chandra and Gabi! See you guys soon!

I could not recommend a hostel more! I came to the farm for a few days at the start of my trip and kept extending and coming back! The manger was super helpful and I really enjoyed hanging out with all the volunteers! There is super fun games and happy hour every night that brings everyone together and is a great way to make new friends. I would highly recommend visiting the farm and will definitely be returning! Shout out to El, Matt and gabby! who are the best volunteers and are so much fun!

The Farm is an incredible hostel in Canggu. The owner Mark is super friendly and runs an outstanding operation as all of the staff here at The Farm are truly amazing. Kizzy, Maddie, Celine, Pow from the front desk, Jordon, and the bartenders were awesome during my stay. They ran such awesome events which was great to meet people from all over the world. Rooms are clean. Ben who worked in helping maintain the rooms was so friendly and helpful as well. Eka and Andi are so helpful and very attentive at the front desk. Easy to rent scooters. The pool vibes make it nice to cool off. I can’t stress this place enough to those looking to explore Canggu and meet your new best friends. I will be back to The Farm!

This was exactly the experience I wanted as a solo traveler! I enjoyed the social aspect but also rules so you could go to sleep at a reasonable time. The staff were very friendly and there's a NFC wristband so you don't have to worry about keeping up with cash or bringing a card around to pay for coffee and drinks at the bar. I also appreciated the dedicated female-only spaces! It was a great spot to meet people and begin my time in Bali. I only wish I'd stayed longer!

  • 5/5 Natasa M. 6 months ago on Google
Very social hostel! I felt very welcomed. They had activities every night, which was amazing to meet people. The pool & the bar are the main meeting points. That's where I met Ella, a very lovely person! I already miss the people from the farm.

Had an amazing stay here. Very nice and helpful staff. Events are organised almost every day which allows for socialising:). We attended a free dinner and a beer pong night (payable). The free breakfast was the same every day, which was a bit underwhelming and not very filling but still appreciated the free option. The restaurant had delicious and affordable foods. Overall a very very clean hostel (beds were made and common rooms cleaned everyday) a beautiful pool/ chill out area. They give towels, have free room temperature water at your disposal every wherein the hostel and had super fast wifi. No complaints other than that sometimes the dogs (very friendly!) got into the rooms and slept in the beds but we didn’t mind:)) (maybe good to know if you are allergic, so make sure you close the doors) Thank you Farm Hostel, hope to come back again soon.

Very much a young party hostel with big focus on drinking. Club tunes playing 10am-10.30pm which you can hear from inside the dorms. Sliding doors to dorms don’t close meaning AC doesn’t work properly. If you wanna drink, go out, and party this is the place for you. If not, you will feel out of place.

Best hostel I’ve stayed so far in Bali along with Lay Day. The letter being the best to party, and The feel the most polyvalent one. Quite young though, 20-25.

Highly recommend! Ardy, and staff, do an amazing job at making everyone feel welcomed from the get go! If you are traveling by yourself, they also have social events for you to meet other people at the hostel. Such a great experience and happy I stayed here for my first week in Bali!

Wow I absolutely loved it there! Everyone was so kind the stuff and the people who stayed there. We arrived on a Sunday and they greeted us with a free barbecue, sadly I didn’t took pictures.

Mark and Vince are the real deal, everyone who is there feels like family. Originally meant to stay there for 2 days, ended up for 6 and that seems to be a common theme with everyone that visits. location is great, pool is fun. Looking forward to coming back.

I can totally recommend the hostel. It’s newly open and freshly renovated. The owners are amazing and my stay was perfect. The worst thing about it was that I had to leave again. Definitely the best Hostel in canggu!

  • 3/5 Lena H. 4 years ago on Google
This hostel has some nice touches to it and has a decent social atmosphere. But, I was a little disappointed with the breakfast option. Secondly, the fact that the sliding doors on the hostel rooms were completely see through in the night made it feel like I had no privacy at all. The door itself was also painfully loud every time someone came in or out and so without earplugs multiple people in the room were woken up many times in the night. I think for 18 USD a night it should be of a higher standard. Overall the staff were friendly, and parking was great.

Hands down the best hostel in Canggu - look no further. Very clean, modern finishes, nice bathrooms, lovely staff, and great social atmosphere around their two pools. ONLY negative: Mark, the co-owner, will probably kick your a** @ Super Smash Bros if you enter the theatre room (yes, the hostel even has a theatre room).

  • 3/5 Bruna Luisa L. 1 year ago on Google
The hostel is quite nice, amazing pool, good location in Canggu, really party vibe. The major con for me was that they don’t allow you to stay inside the hostel after your check out!! They storage your luggage, but you cannot stay in the common areas unless you pay the “day use fee” This is so “un-hostel”, so unfriendly!

  • 5/5 Vincent R. 1 year ago on Google

Stayed in a lot of hostels over the last few years and this definitely a great one! Very rare you get a place where the staff are all awesome and all the guests are great and super social! Would definitely stay again next time I'm in Bali

Super clean, great staff and an all round great experience. Special shout out to my favourite member of staff Gabby who went above and beyond to meet all the guests and help out with any questions.

Great place for the young party travelers. Lovely girl dorm with bean bag area with private bathroom for bedroom. Charger and light and curtain with in private bed. Nice chilling area outside. HOWEVER biggest turn off for me which upset my stay was the loud music on 12 hours a day 10 am - 10 pm. No time for peace, relax, sleep early or downtime if you are sick - as you can hear it in the room. Staff lovely and friendly.

  • 4/5 Alex B. 1 year ago on Google
Nice but the check-in process was pretty convoluted. It was also kinda annoying to have to do a deposit and wear a wrist band for the stay. My friends who wanted to stop by for a drink had to get a wrist band with a minimum 100,000 spend just to come in. Nice pool though and we met some really cool people there.

Awesome people ! Crazy! Live life here

  • 5/5 Meag F. 1 year ago on Google
The hostel is very well run and has a good balance of party culture and rules to respect the private space of the guests. The included free breakfast is just pancakes with chocolate sauce, bananas, and watermelon, but their in house food menu is also very good and cheap. There is ample space to store your luggage, and the room is serviced once a day for cleaning. Beware, each room only has bathroom and shower for 8 people. Staff are friendly and helpful, and the drinks were delicious. There is a party every night from 7-10:30. Quiet hours are well respected.
