THERE ARE MORE QUALITY PLACES FOR LESS! Firstly, I should say that their booking.com listing is very misleading. We thought we were booking a hotel that naturally comes with a pool like any hotel in Bali, but you have to pay about $15 per person/daily to use the pool. They say they have three pools, but it’s more like 1.6 pools as the other pools are less than 2m sq. The rooms are way smaller than advertised, feel claustrophobic. The second problem is the price/performance ratio. Honestly, there is nothing special about the gym. You get the same stuff that any gym offers for $30 a month, but here you pay $150 for two weeks, which you have to pay extra on top of your stay and pool fees. The third problem is that staff at the reception is rude. Their attitude was “take it or leave it” when we were surprised that we had to pay extra for dipping in the pool. The fourth problem is that there is no area for remote work, and I don’t even mean a proper office setting; there is not a single adequate sitting area for remote work with a laptop. Also, it’s forbidden to have a laptop around the pool area or the garden. They call it a “recovery area,” which I think is silly. The fifth problem is the tone of the house rules hung around on the walls everywhere. I’ve never seen such a need to hang this many rules in any of the places I’ve been worldwide. This makes me question the profile of people that they call customers. The sixth problem is that they ask for a 1.000.000 deposit for the rooms. What? What kind of people do they host that their rooms get damaged, forcing the hotel to require a deposit? Also when you’re check out day, they come to the room to check if everything is in place, which I think is humiliating. They even asked us about a 30 cents worth coffee mug, when they couldn’t see it. Overall, if you’re a gym freak with money to waste and love to show off, it’s the perfect place. We could bear for one night of stay, asked Booking.com for a refund, and left the premises immediately. Those who gave this place a 5-star probably never have been to a gym, or they just enjoy the abs scenery.

Had the best time at this gym! Did the 7am sunrise yoga session which was fun yet the right level of challenging. Then a glute session which was very challenging! The gym has access to all the machines you could want, plus AC. Afterwards the recovery area is a great place to hang out after, and challenging yourself to the ice baths is a bit of fun too. Overall, recommend!

Body Factory is the go to place for me in bali. Although many say its expensive - there is no way for canggu without Body Factory for me. The gym is good, the recovery area is outstanding. They also offer many classes and I tried a lot of them. I loved HYROX, Boxing, Pilates, Yoga, Stretching. All classes are amazing and the coaches are sooo good. Body Factory is my second home when I’m in Canggu and that for a good reason. Love the shakes aswell. Recommend trying the matcha kitkat Protein shake 🫨

Highly overpriced. Not „the best of the best“ equiptment. Frayed mats and so on. The first time I was there, there was a power blackout. Second time also. So I understand that blackouts are comon in bali but this place hast it so often, it has something to do with the infrastructure of this place. After all, the outdoor space is pretty nice.

Some of the luxury gyms I’ve been to include basketball/tennis court, rock climbing wall, etc. BF will simply reply to all negative comments saying it is. A hot sauna and a plunge pool doesn’t dictate “luxury” when gym is small, lacking basic equipment and over crowded (see website pics - very basic). The 230$/month membership fee attracts two types of customers: Wealthy Expat or Instagram influencer who spend more time recording themselves or talking than working out. The members create a negative gym atmosphere that revolves around poor etiquette and manners (taking up 2-3 machines at once and refusing to share, verbally rude to staff, smoking in wellness area when signs clearly say not to, leaving trash/towels on equipment, etc)... The in-house trainers, specifically (jade), will take up equipment for 30 minutes while texting on her phone not working out oblivious to customers. You will leave this gym feeling like your on a prank hidden camera show. The wellness or “luxury” spa is composed of 8 lounge chairs that people will claim with a towel and never use, leaving other paying members to sit in the grass area. Pros: -Kind staff that will remember your name -Cold pool for bad joints/muscles Cons: -4 treadmills total, 2 of which dont support running (belts slow down, complaint never followed up) -2 stair master, 1 of which broken for 1 month -Stationary bikes only in women’s size -Spotty WiFi -People smoke in gym area (was brought to staffs attention many times and are afraid to upset those members ) Avenue fitness 80$/month is a much bigger and better option and has same cold baths and sauna. Bulldog fitness in the same range. 2 stars is because of staff and pool area is nice after working out. If you don’t believe the integrity of this review, try for one month and you will likely regret.

I absolutely LOVE this gym! It has great quality machines, the area is nicely air conditioned but there’s also a nice space for outdoors training. The sauna and ice bath, recovery area is the best on the island! Their classes are also well curated and the instructors are so lovely - I feel so welcomed and supported by the entire body factory crew 🥰

Really poor yoga space. Very friendly and service oriented staff. I signed a four week subscription here in November, since it's was very close to our villa. Although I enjoyed the gym and the recovery area, I realized in hindsight that there is a competitor nearby which is a lot cheaper, and with a yoga studio and recovery area that is much nicer and more quiet. I tried a morning yoga at BF once, but since the space is open, you're disturbed by motorcycle traffic and other noise. Terrible. Although the recovery area is great, it was difficult to relax down in the garden due to the construction work that was ongoing. The sauna is really nice, although it's due for renovation (what's with all the rusty screw heads sticking up?). Regarding the gym, it has all the equipment you need obviously. However, it's squeezed into an area which is a bit too tight. Overall, with this price tag, everything needs to be perfect, or at least better than the competition. This is unfortunately not the case.

This has been my favorite gym + recovery area experience ever! The facilities are all high quality and the staff are friendly as could be. Many of them learn your name once you become a regular! I was told before coming here that people weren’t too friendly, but I found that to be totally false! I have made many connections and gym friends during my time here even though I am much younger than most (21). The cafe is also great and I enjoy getting meals there occasionally. I love the smash burger! The classes are also great. This is a place you will find yourself excited to return to!

Rip off factory. Canggu has become such a trendy aka wanky area for "the beautiful people" to be seen and this gym charges accordingly. Expect to pay 3 times the fees youll pay at the best gyms in Sydney.

The gym is overpriced, and it is just rude what quality you get for the price you have to pay. Cardio section is outdated and each time there was always something under maintenance. Some default machines are just missing. Planning a back day? Plan also waiting in lines, because no one cares about duplicating popular machines. Overall quality would be ok for a suburban gym in a basement, but absolutely unacceptable for a €200/month gym which claims to provide luxury experience. Not giving one star because staff is friendly and they are trying hard to maintain cleanliness. Spa area is ok.

Best gym facilities in Canggu, super friendly stuff it has three main training areas, an outdoors one and two indoors with air conditioning. One is focused more on having dumbbells, upper body and CV machines and the other one has squat machine and heavy weight lifting equipment. Practically one the best fitted gyms I’ve been and a big list of classes too (check photo) The backyard is an area with 4 pools, one normal pool and three recovery focused out of which two are cold/iced water (4 and 12 Celsius) and a 45 Celsius warm water one. There is also a coffee shop in the front and a coffee/eating area in the back offering all sorts of goodness from bulletproof coffees to lunch meals.

Look, this gym does exactly what it says on the tin. Pristine quipment, good variety of machines although can be busy at peak times (never came during) but the highlight has to be the recovery area where you can relax and watch the world go by. A true oasis of calm. Even though we had a private pool in our villa, we still spent a lot of time jumping between sauna and ice bath and bathing in the sun! Is it the most expensive gym Ive ever been to? Absolutely and by a long shot. But I'm on my holidays, want to work out and idgaf. 10/10 X

DO NOT STAY AT THE HOTEL. Water shower leaks to the floor. Horrible staff integrity. Paid a spa day pass that I used for 5 minutes by cash and staff did NOT give me a receipt for a spa day pass I paid in cash. Rude cleaning and reception staff. Check out was 12pm and cleaning already knocked on my door at 11 WTH? I was the only guest in the hotel. No wonder why. DO NOT STAY HERE.

The staff are excellent very friendly and keep the gym area clean and tidy. The equipment and space is also very good trained here on a week pass whilst in Canggu. The price is too much! (Not only for Bali prices either) we went for Silver (Gym only) as the gold package was way too much especially as our villa already had a decent pool. The gym is very social media driven and although no professional equipment is allowed, influencers are given a pass in terms of not re-racking weights and having the gym staff tidy up after them but as they post about the gym (and even have the gym staff record or take photos of them) it’s all good.

3 months membership for 500 usd. No matter how good it is these prices are only for influencers and exparts....and in my opinion not justified....... Used to train there the gym is good but for what it is honestly not worth it

I had an amazing experience at Body Factory. I got the gold 28 day’s membership. It’s definitely worth the money. I do Yoga and do weight training everyday. My favourite coach is Mei. She is awesome and experienced. The food here is really healthy and clean. You can pick the ingredients and build your own bowl. I would definitely come back!

Nice gym with an amazing Spa and facilities. However I had a total nightmare with a resident PT Vic who was very unprofessional, coming late to arranged session and once never even showed up without notifying. Considering how expensive this gym is I expected better service. I have not received any compensation for this and feel very disappointed. Also I have bad experience from yoga classes - some instructors don’t do proper warm ups and jump into quite advanced and deep poses without assesing everyone’s fitness level in the class. After a few months of going to yoga classes I have developed a hip joint injury/strain that comes from doing lunges without proper warming up. Thanks Body Factory for this nightmare

Such a nice hidden gem on Nelayan for the interior design lovers. I was a fan of the area and was very glad when I saw they had also rooms. So many cool details, beautiful rooms! They even had bamboo toothbrushes! Lucky us, the day we checked in they opened the pool area which is quiet and still has greenery around. ICE baths, sauna, yoga classes, and a perfect interior garden. Nice coffee place with good coffee and smoothies also right in the parking lot. Very nice security and parking guys. Oh, and Superfood is walking distance. For those who don't drive a scooter even the beach is walking distance on a street that is not heavy on traffic, so it's actually walkable. Amazing fitness facility right in the middle of Canggu ! Exactly what i have wanted here for a long time. There is definitely something for everyone. Inside there is broad range of latest high performance equipment. Outside there is an awesome functional zone to incorporate all sorts of body weight work including a huge sled track. GREAT STAFF -EXCELLENT GYM - EXQUISITE SHAKES! The gym is a great body building facility with the best of machines and dumbbells including fat grip DBs. Lifting room out the back and an area do some conditioning work outside great all round facility.

They charge an absolutely absurd amount for a pretty average gym. It's even rare to see prices like this in Manhattan. If you need to pay that much to feel good about yourself then go for it (though I think I'd be embarrassed), otherwise there are many better places when you consider value.

The worst value for money you can find on Earth. Half the price would still be overpriced. They are definitely not in the price range of their peers, Soham is 4 or 5 times cheaper and body factory is just slightly better. The locker room, parking spot, swimming pool are all extremely small. Sauna and ice bath are good. Some staff were rude. This must be a very good business for the owner. It’s definitely the main goal for this place.

What more could one ask for. Great size gym, vast amount of areas to train in and a recovery area suitable for cold and hot therapies. The owners of this gym have gone to a lot of effort to ensure there is something for everybody. Designated daily classes for all levels, PT one on ones, recovery zones, two cafes, numerous bathrooms (including lockers) showers, weight rooms recovery pool and lawn and designated HIT areas. Prices are reasonable as compared to any First-Rate Gyms across major cities and the staff including GM Natalie, Brillan & the Front Desk Team & owners J&M are very professional. Can't recommend this high-performance gym enough.

The facility is new with state of the art equipment, you have unlimited classes included in your membership and they have a variety of options. The staff are very helpful and friendly and were calling me by my name. highly recommend if you like to stick to your gym routine when you’re on holidays!

Body Factory is probably the best gym I’ve visited ever - anywhere. First impression is the staff who greet you are super genuine and friendly. They direct you to the Lockers and change areas which are spotless and don’t smell like feet. Not the usual locker room ecosystem. The workout equipment is separated into different pavilions and areas - plus you can sweat it out outdoors or go for air conditioned comfort - there’s plenty of weights and machines so it’s unusual to need to wait during busy times. But it’s not just a gym. There’s ice plunge pools, a large crystal swimming pool, saunas, spas, a retail shop, sun beds and if you’re needing nourishment the different outlets serve up crazy healthy food and drinks. I’ve not tried one of the personal trainers or guided classes yet but my gym buddies rave about both. The staff and management should be proud of their team effort - 5 out of 5 from me

Amazing gym pretty expensive and pretty much only meant for expets (VIP is about 180€ a month) Everyone who is famous or has a good job goes here! Really good for networking and personal training sessions are also really good! They have a 35,10 and 0 degree bath and a wonderful sauna! Also they have one of the best massages in Canggu!

Body Factory Bali is the best gym I’ve ever been to and I’ve been to many high end gyms around the world and in London etc. They have really thought of everything to have all the very best brand new speciality equipment, pieces I never see in other gyms and also an outdoor functional training area! It has everything I need and after so long only having hotel gym dumbbells and no motivation to do much it has reignited my passion to train serious again. It is also never too busy and I never have to wait on equipment. The staff is the sweetest and treat you like friends and the head coach Maait is the best coach in the business. Never learned as much about body building as I have here. The classes and boxing training is perfect!

Blissful yoga with amazing teachers and the most incredible spa decked out with a sauna, cold plunge, hot tub and swimming pool. Their cafe serves the best bulletproof coffee in Canggu and they even have accommodation onsite for those who never want to leave. The gym and the equipment is really nice. However it’s super packed. If you go there especially in the morning make sure you plan enough time as you will probably need to wait to use some of the equipments. It would also be nice if people who buy a daily ticket get a tour through the gym and not been left alone especially with the price. Will probably not come back again.

Excellent equipment - it has several treadmills, elliptical, bikes, loads of dumbbells and machines enough for a small village to train. There are spaces in air conditioned areas as well as covered outdoors. This is a very large facility and although I didn't use it all in my 100mins there, the chilled pool was probably the facility that I wished I could use after a long workout whilst on holiday. Imagine that - a chilled pool to help you recuperate. There are loads of well toned, ripped male and female users at this gym. My one concern was that there were only two showers available in the small change room.

Brilliant gym, that has all the equipment you could want in a state of the art set up. The selling point for me is the recovery centre. Even though I have a private pool at my own accommodation I come almost daily to the use the recovery centre as the vibes are unmatched. The recovery pools, outside chill area and surrounding design create a mini paradise tucked away in the heart of Canggu that you will struggle to find anywhere else in Bali. Five stars from me!!

This is my new favorite gym! I love working out here both on my own and in group classes. The recovery area is awesome. Definitely try switching between the ice bath (4 degrees) and sauna. I think since I started going here I’m in the best shape ever! BF just motivates you to work harder :) The coaches are very professional and the staff is really friendly and helpful. And for me personally although the price is a bit high, it’s definitely worth it.

The biggest highlight has to be the staff and the service -- it's the bright smiles and the little details like how every staff member remembers the name of every member and is always willing to help. 10/10 everything, perfect for anyone looking for a wholesome experience. Will be back soon!

Came to visit Canggu for a week and purchased the gold membership pass. Absolutely worth every cent, weight facilities and equipment are awesome, full dedicated room to lower body, amazing recovery facilities and a fantastic cafe with delicious food (macros included). Also tried a couple of classes and really enjoyed mobility with Stella. Staff were incredibly helpful, friendly. Best gym I have ever been to hands down! Will definitely be back if visiting Bali again.

Food quality is good, but the portions are too small. This is a double portion. Staff are great, and the gym is amazing. Also, the lockers are rusty and need to be changed. Overall, it's a great place 👍🙏

Facilities are great - the recovery centre includes a sauna, ice bath, cold plunge and pool for sunbathing post session. The gym is air conditioned, plenty of machines to go around all in great condition. The classes are great and instructors really knowledgeable and encouraging. The staff overall are absolutely lovely, the cafe and dispensary have amazing options suited to all dietary needs. 10/10 would recommend.

I love the BFB Gym, Recovery, Cafe & Restaurant. The best part is definitely the friendly and helpful staff and the gym community. Delicious medium roast coffee in Canggu and healthy food and treats.

Being a pro athlete I have been to many gyms & body factory is world class. The indoor/outdoor gym is great as well as the many classes that they have to offer. Body Factory has an incredible recovery space with sauna, cold tubs, hot tub & pool with a very chill space to relax. What makes body factory the most enjoyable I would say is the staff. With how respectful & caring they’re. Service is excellent & especially Ricky in the cafe area by the recovery! The guys an absolute beauty.
