I attended my PADI Open Water Diver certification here. It was an amazing experience with amazing instructors. Special commendation to Peggy and Aaron for their spectacular mentorship and training. The course was delivered with ease and both open water dive days were well planned and guided. I have to recommend anyone wanting to take up diving to visit the store and speak to someone there. All staff are very knowledgeable and will assist you in preparation for the course. They also have a very good range of snorkelling and scuba diving gear. Prices are reasonable and package them up for a good price. Looking forward to doing my PADI Advanced Open Water certification in the near future…

Massive thank you and 5 stars to the entire team at Perth Scuba who just took us through our Open Water Dive course. Chris was our instructor, had the patience and skills to manage the varying levels of his 7 students, and was always calm and smiling. Ritz joined Chris in the shop and they stayed after hours at the end of the course until we had made our purchase decisions. They were very patient and helpful in putting together a package for our gear. The course price came off the total, so we did indeed learn to dive for free. I have walked away feeling confident I chose the right team to learn with, and look forward to joining them on free club dives coming up to further my experience and skills. Can't wait for the night time dives. Thank you Perth Scuba 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟💯🤙

We booked a open water dive course for our family whilst still in the UK. When we arrived the kit was all ready for us, after a short bit of admin we were straight into learning. Our instructor Nathan was very good and patient. The last day was diving off Rottnest Island, which was spectacular. Highly recommended.

Just completed the open water course this weekend. 6th, 7th and 8th of may. Felt nervous on first day and panicked a little when first underwater. Our instructor Simon, was great. Quick chat at the surface, straight to the point, yet comforting. Couldn't thank him enough for a course that was set out easily. We knew what was required to be independent and also as a group. Great bunch of people to dive with, a couple of young teenagers who were very comfortable with us older first divers. Simon was able to talk to all involved, both young and not so young. Could not fault the course itself or Simon as the instructor. To finish the weekend off with a trip on the Blue Dynasty to rottnest, great crew, great dive spots and all inclusive. Go see the guys at Perth Scuba and enjoy the world in the ocean.

My friend and I did the PADI Open Water Dive Course last week, Tuesday to Thursday. Although I already had my Open water ticket I wanted to support my friend and also to see if much had changed in the 20 years since I did it. I found the course to be well structured and the dive training instructor Simon clearly knew everything we needed to know and more. He was an excellent instructor and his gruff no-nonsense attitude belied a dry sense of humour and ability to both give and receive good natured jibes 😁 I would happily do further courses under Simon's tutelage. As for the shop, the staff are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable in all things diving.

I started Scuba diving since 2017 and things have never been better. I saw an ad by Perth Scuba and decided to give it a try. Today I did the Ship Wreck course and it was amazing. Just got back from diving in Dunsborough where the HMS Swan is sunk few years go as a Scuba diving site. Perth Scuba are well known around Perth and have wonderful supplies and Dive instructors including friendly staff who know their work.

Did the open water scuba course with Simon and Samara. It was amazing going to dive on rottnest (make sure you bring sea sickness tablets for the boat ride) Simon was very sympathetic and really helped me when I was panicking while underwater, everyone was super lovely, kind and helpful 10/10

I just completed the open water diver course with Simon, he had a nice no BS approach to the safety of students, but could also have and take a joke reducing nerves of the students. He made me feel extremely safe in the water and at depths which was great as i am(was) not super confident in the water. He was very helpful with helping me pick gear to purchase also, great sales man as well as instructor. Ritz and Christian I believe the young bloke in the shops name was, they were great at setting up my gear and going through the whole purchase with me and explaining a few bits and pieces about the equipment as we went on, Christian was a great energy in the store. Ritz was forever happy and joking around, Simon kept me safe and comfortable. Aaron cleaned my brand new mask for me on the boat. It was a great team that made me experience really good. I also really love that they run free club dives twice a week so we have free options to still dive with an instructor until super confident if you like(FOR FREE!) or if you don't have other dive buddies you can make some new ones on a free dive. I think some people forget Perth Scuba is a retail store not just a dive school, hence going through equipment they have on offer before the dive and being that i was wanting to buy some (and was genuinely interested in what equipment we would be using to preserve our life under water ) I actually liked the run through of products. 3 full days for $600 also isn't a bad deal especially when it included a whole day out on the boat where you could dive twice, snorkel if you wanted and lunch and drinks!(and they took the cost off the equipment i bought so my course was free). We had a group of 7 which was perfect and have made new connections to dive with for years to come. Thanks Perth Scuba and see you for my advanced course soon and at a club dive too.(Pic of Rottnest from the boat)

My son and I did our 3 day PADI cert course with Chris A at Perth Scuba. The experience was fantastic. A day in the pool followed by a day 2 shore dive at Rockingham. The highlight was undoubtedly the day 3 dive off Rottnest Island. Amazing clear water and wildlife. And now... we can scuba dive!!! Thanks to Chris A, Simon and the crew at Perth Scuba. AB

From walking into the Canning Vale - Perth Scuba shop and purchasing all my SCUBA equipment through Braedon , who was exceptional and knows his stuff. To then completing my Open Water certification with Simon and Harriet , who were absolutely AMAZING . My experience was personal , well explained , exceptionally fun and easy to follow . The last day to Rottnest Island was mind blowing . Thank you to everyone involved but a massive thank you to Simon and Harriet you’re both awesome :o)

My family just completed the open water dive course with Perth Scuba. Chris Jones was our instructor and he was excellent. Course was structured well and Chris was happy to spend extra time with the students that required it. Would definitely recommend Perth Scuba and Chris to anyone looking to dive. Boat dives were awesome and the lunch was amazing!

Completed my Open Water certification with perth scuba. Simon was my instructor, and I was very nervous going into the course. He's got a big personality but beneath it is highly considerate and helpful. He took a great approach to my nerves and made the entire experience super enjoyable- loved all the dives and his instruction. Couldn't recommend more highly.

Did open water Padi diving course. Instructor Simon was brilliant, endlessly patient, good humoured and enthusiastic. He had a mixed group ranging from a very confident 12 year old to a nervous 62 year old and he made sure everyone's needs were met, taking time to go over things in detail, encouraging everyone positively. Great experience

I just finished the Open Water Diving course, something I've always wanted to do, but have always been a little scared to try. My instructors were Katia and Simon on the first (pool) day, then Katia for the shore and boat dives on the 2nd and 3rd days. I am so thankful to Katia; she is a wonderful, patient and incredibly knowledgeable instructor. I was very anxious about equalizing during the shore and boat dives and Katia was so patient and helpful during the entire process...and I was able to get down to all the depths without issues (yay!). She also explained all of the skills we learned clearly and made sure we were able to perform them competently. She also kept a close watch on all of her students, she provided clear instructions (repeatedly and very patiently, if necessary, hehe) and made sure we were comfortable and safe during all our dives. She also answered all of my many questions and was kind, encouraging and provided helpful tips when I expressed anxiety and/or confusion about a particular issue or subject.  She is very personable, funny and approachable, too. Though I did not work with Simon beyond the first day, he also seemed extremely competent and knowledgeable, with a wicked sense of humor. Oh, and the diving was aaaamazing, wow, I am hooked! Thank you so much to Perth Scuba, I am really excited to be certified for open water diving now. If I lived in Perth, I would definitely sign up for their twice weekly dives!

I had completed my Open Water certification with Perth Scuba. First impression is- Perth Scuba very much felt like 'being apart of a family every day on the course. Thomas is a phenomenal instructor with a huge wealth of knowledge. He was also extremely patient with me having equipment issues and having issues with equalisation and gave a lot of advice as well as stories and his sense of humour made the course a lot of fun. After more experience when I go for my advanced open water I would be happy to go through Perth Scuba and have thomas as an instructor again. I had also bought all my gear and Thomas, Ritz and another staff member i dont know the name of were amazing and gave a tonne of advice when selecting equipment and how to use my equipment. (Advice- if you plan on buying gear during open water I highly recommend buying it on day 1 so you can learn how to use your equipment, I made the mistake of buying all my equipment at the end of day 2 and struggled with day 3 Rottness dives as the equipment and integrated weights had a very different feel to the rental gear supplied which effected my dive and experience). I also had issues with my fins which Ritz identified the issue straight away (strap needed adjusting) and went through equipment with me every time I purchased gear. I would highly recommend Perth Scuba to any friends and family and have already starting to rope people into diving. I am excited to get more dives in and I feel confident after learning my skills through Thomas and am excited to join their Rottnest dives and am excited to do their Wednesday and Sunday club dives in the future.

Just finished open water course with Chris. He was super lovely and reassuring (really calm - so good!) and the dives were incredible. The last day of the course was an experience I’ll never forget. Dive shop tries to sell you extra equipment but understandable as they need to make money. I would recommend !

Just finished the Open Water Course with Perth Scuba and our instructors Simon and Arron did a fantastic job. Very friendly and considerate to myself and my young son. Both where very knowledgeable and professional. I am confident they have given my son a good basis for a life long love for diving.

Brilliant learn to dive (open water) course with Simon and Mitch. Have no complaints at all. You get all the equipment in included price, as well as some fantastic final dives around Rottnest Island, which are a great way to be introduced to the world of diving.

We recently had an incredible scuba diving experience at Perth Scuba with Devan as my instructor, and we can't praise it enough! Devan's patience and exceptional teaching skills made the whole adventure enjoyable and safe. His knowledge and passion for diving were evident throughout the session. We felt confident and well-prepared under his guidance. We highly recommend Perth Scuba if it is your first time diving, especially if you have the chance to learn from Devan. It was an unforgettable experience, and we can't wait to dive with them again! Elia and Estefany

Just completed our advanced open water course with Perth Scuba. Chris J was a fantastic instructor who made the course fun as well as sharing technical knowledge. He showed so much patience with the skills that I had a moment to understand and always took the time to help get things right for me. The dive masters in training there were also so amazing and calming. What a great bunch of people.

The crew at Perth Scuba were knowledgeable and a lot of fun. They made made me feel relaxed. I really liked the way Simon held my hand on dives. The other instructors, Devan and San were top notch, good banter too. Crew aboard the blue destiny were cruisy as and put on a mean feed. Cheers ladies and gents👌 😉

Two outstanding exploration dives with dive master, Guy Benney at Perth Scuba. Guy gave us exactly what we were looking for: seahorses, stingray, pufferfish, heaps nudibranchs, large schools of colorful fish, beautiful sponges and algae, etc. Very knowledgeable and respectful of nature. All around 5/5 diving with Guy.

Absolutely loved doing my open water dive course with Perth Scuba! Simon was such an incredible instructor, he was always clear, direct and calm with his students and ensured everyone always felt safe and at ease. His teaching approach made our whole group such confident and calm divers, so we could just enjoy being in the water. Samara was also amazing, so patient and kind with all her students. Both instructors were exceptional! We also had JP on our last day who was great, he was super calm and ensured everyone had a great day on the boat! I couldn't recommend this course enough, not only do you learn to dive with the best instructors, you also make new friends and get connected with such an incredible dive community too! Thanks so much Perth Scuba team!

Amazing 3 day open water dive certification. Chris is an amazing instructor, very patient and knowledgeable. The whole team were super helpful in suggesting and fitting gear as well. Rottnest Island dives were absolutely stunning and will be going back soon. Rockingham wreck trail was unfortunately very poor visibility, however, I was glad I had some exposure to this sort of dive as well. Overall, would very much recommend diving and getting certified through Perth Scuba.

I don't write a lot of reviews but making an exception for Perth Scuba. If you're looking to start your diving journey , they are absolute professionals and I recommend them highly. The instructors are thorough and very clear in communicating - the crew is super friendly and all the travel arrangements were seamless. Special Thanks to Aaron and Devon- who were so patient and supportive throughout the 3 days OW course. I came looking for a certification and left with a lifetime of memories (and friends!) Thanks guys

Superlative instruction from Nathan at Perth Scuba/Dive Locker. 7 years ago I did a PADI Open Water referral from a US-based company and my experience there left me unsure if SCUBA was for me. Today my PADI Discover Scuba experience with Nathan completely reversed that. Nathan’s above-water briefings were clear and his underwater instruction (and gentle correction of my errors) were easy to follow. Nathan’s attention to safety was paramount without ever detracting from the fun of diving. Having access to Nathan’s experience (he’s been diving since he was 8!) and education (marine biology) delivered value far beyond the dollar price of the “introductory” lesson. I paid web prices for Jacques Cousteau-level training. Dominic at Perth Scuba also helped me get through the paperwork in record time and adjusted the logistics to some unexpected changes. As an educator myself, I am a serious and committed student so I expect to receive committed training. I was surprised and gratified to receive that from Nathan and the crew at Perth Scuba/Dive Locker. -Derek W., Chicago IL, USA

Just had the most amazing Adventure Dive weekend with Rod Baird instructor and trip organiser. On Saturday We did 2 deep dives on the HMAS Swan out of Busselton and then a night dive on the sculptures around and under Busselton jetty. Then 2 dives on the Lena out of Bunbury on the Sunday. The accomodation was literally a stones thrown from the dive boat and pub in the marina. This was a very well organised trip. The team of 6 were awesome and I made new friends that have an interest in deep dives and wrecks. I will be looking out for another adventure dive on some more wrecks. Highly recommended when it comes up again. Oh also got our wreck dive ticket as a bonus to this awesome weekend.

He really inspires confidence.
