Great place to walk. The Six mile loop is a nice, easy walk. The Scouts walked a marathon for a merit badge last Saturday, and it was the perfect place to do so.

Had a blast at the recent festival. Plenty for the kids, plenty food choices and the entrainment on stage was fabulous. Huge event, can't wait till next year's.

Great park, lots of green space, big playgrounds for kids and access to the river for kayak/canoes. Lots of paved paths for walking and roller skating/rollerblading.

Always a pleasure to walk at Etowah. Extremely well kept grounds… 5 mile loop from end to end roughly. Perfect really…. Reminds me of TN by the river in Gatlinburg. Well done ….

Very nice park with huge greenspace and riverside trail that is part boardwalk but mostly paved concrete. Unfortunately for most of the main trail you're not close enough to the river to actually see it except where the bridge crossing is. However, at one point in the trail there's a branch off it (see photo #7) that takes you to the river, but be forewarned it is currently extremely overgrown as you get further into it towards the river. The trail connects this park to Heritage Park which is also nice.

I hope wing and rock festival happens every year. This is a great location. Lots of fun for the family and it's kid and dog friendly. This was my second year. Next year I'll be a lil more prepared. For the sun. Holy moly it was hot. Bring chairs and an umbrella.

This is my happy place!! I’ve been here countless times and it’s always clean, safe, well-maintained, and has a great vibe. There are so many great local events hosted here like 5Ks, food and music festivals, egg hunts, model plane competitions, dance classes, etc. Any of the events makes for a great time. As far as exercise goes, the trails are in phenomenal paved condition. The trails are nearly flat and span several miles. They’re great for running and biking. There is a connector trail through the woods that leads to heritage park. And on the river walk portion of Etowah river park there is a hidden loop through the woods. The park is very kid and dog-friendly. I always feel safe bringing my toddler to play here. There’s a great playground on the Etowah river park side and a brand new playground on the heritage park side. In my opinion this is the best park in the northern Atlanta area. We are so fortunate to have it right here in Canton!

This park is pretty cool. The river was a blast. First time kayak, paddle boarders, and canoer fishers will enjoy the gentle river. The trails are wide open and fun to walk and there are open fields for playing and picnics. One of the fish caught that day.

This is a great park for hiking. We had a great time. There is a little shade in case it gets too hot. The rest rooms are clean.

I usually come here to ride my Onewheel. There is half a mile of paved trails that are wide enough for multiple people to walk on and the trails connect to Etowah River Trail and Heritage Park. So, if you have a group of friends or are worried about distancing yourself from other but still want to get outside, this is a great place to go! At 58 acres the grass areas are plentiful and large, great for sports of all kinds and you do not typically need to worry about running into another group of people. If you do have a group of people with you there are two community pavilions to use and/or hangout in. As well, there are inclusive playgrounds on the property for children to play in and have fun. If you are wanting to get in the river, there is a canoe launch site available for public use. I have not used it yet, but I am planning on doing so before it gets too cold. So come out, bring your family, and have a picnic at one of the many picnic tables on-site. This is a great place to hang out and soak in the sun!

Went walking to benefit The Pregnancy Center in Jasper, GA. It was a perfect day with temps in the upper 70s in the morning. Beautiful green grass and so many trees. Many benches available to rest for awhile. Picnic tables, play area for the kids, clean restrooms too. And all free thanks to the city of Canton.

I really love this park. Lots of room to play sports and a big variety of things for kids to play on. We took our bikes on the trail. Also it’s nice that they have a little snack shop there. Enjoyed my stay and recommend if you want an enjoyable evening.

Big park for walking, jogging etc. I don't understand why there isn't any food facilities, the park is beautiful and it would be nice if it had a place for lunch or coffee 😞. Onlly one facility for bathrooms at the entrance of the park, it needs another bathroom facility on the west side of the park. Otherwise it's a nice park with benches and long pathways to walk or jog.

It is a busy park well maintained and clean. The paved tracks are a huge plus. If so long enough for an hour walk with no issues. You can ride a bicycle or walk. The river runs beside it, which adds to the beautiful scenario. There are large grass areas and seats available.

Etowah River Park is a beautiful public space with plenty of recreational opportunities for the entire family, an amphitheater, basketball courts, sports fields, all abilities playground, and the Etowah River trail that connects all three of Canton's largest parks along the Etowah River.

Etowah Park is great for the whole family. A long walking paved track. Large fields for soccer or football games. Tons of trees to have picnics under. And my 15 month old approves of the playground. Also has a covered pavilion with picnic tables under it and a bathroom next to the playground.

Fun place to bring friends and family. The parks is very big connecting to the local ymca outside park along with food nearby. The park has a snack bar open in the summer with snacks, snow cones and drinks. The park has a basketball court, big track and plenty of green. It is also a great place to spot local ice cream trucks.

Etowah River Park was great - especially the newer side of the bridge - however, it seems they've forgotten about the other side of the bridge: Heritage Park behind the YMCA. It made me a bit sad because it has always been a quiet, clean place to walk with my dogs. But this last weekend, the grass was over grown, tall weeds everywhere as well as garbage just strewn everywhere. There was even a rusty, overturned shopping cart in the middle of the park. I hope the start giving the same amount of attention to Heritage Park as Etowah River Park. It seems so neglected.

Great facility to walk or bike. Has a fantastic playground. Always clean restrooms. Pavilions for activities and picnicking. A little free library that sees LOTS of use.

I love being in nature! It's a great park. Limited amount of shade, but ample paved trails for biking and walking. If you want to go off the beaten path, the trails are marked but lots of overgrowth and poison ivy. Not many places to get close to the water.

Love this trail. It’s wide and flat. Love all the bridges. HOWEVER, whoever placed the resting benches must be very young and didn’t pay any attention to locations for shade or reasonable spacing. Benches were mostly placed where there would be full sun most of the day and strangely near an area where there would be shade most of the day. We are both seniors age 72. We made it to the nice shady pavilion at the very end to find no benches or tables in the pavilion but 2 benches in the full sun 100 ft before the pavilion. Huh? The city needs to reevaluate resting bench location. There were very large gaps in resting bench locations. I hope no seniors suffer heat exhaustion or sunstroke due to inadequate resting bench spacing and locations.
