Had lunch at Rumrunners yesterday with 3 friends and it was a great experience. Got seated by the water right away and staff moved 2 umbrellas to keep us shaded, we were waited on immediately and the food was great. We all had something different and it was fresh and hot and delicious. And don’t even get me started on their fabulous views. Thanks Rumrunners for a pleasant afternoon. We’ll be back.

Lovely dockside dining with a very extensive menu to accommodate all dietary requirements and hunger needs. The Maitre'D was a bit gruff but our waitress was lovely. Expect to pay around $60 plus per head without drinks or service. Take bug spray as I got bitten a lot! Salads are good sizes but our lobster tail was tiny and expensive. Daily specials were good. Steak options were plentiful but they couldn't accommodate our sauce request unfortunately so we got garlic butter instead.

Fantastic food and very fast, friendly service. We had the Seafood Pot Pie, Conch Fritters and a Grouper Sandwich. All of it was delicious! The pot pie had 3 large scallops in it along with a ton of shrimp and veggies. Very flavorful. Chris was our server and he did an amazing job looking after us. We went at 2:15 for a late lunch and were not disappointed.

Love this place! Went for the 1st time and great by Tony if we needed fuel for boat the hostess team was so pleasant. And Jade was great! The food and drinks honestly the best I have had in FL and we have eaten at a lot of places! They even provided water for our pup! Highly recommend!

My wife surprised me with a romantic dinner by the water and it was fantastic. Service and food was awesome. We will definitely come back. Parking can be challenging during peak hours but well worth it.

This is a pretty good restaurant overall. The food is a bar above average and the service is excellent. It's generally very busy so expect long wait times. I recommend getting the half spatchcocked Thai chicken when they have it, that's their best item.

Had a fantastic dinner on 9/15 while visiting family in Cape Coral from the Chicago burbs. We had outdoor reservation (recommend during high season). We sat on the patio, which was a beautiful covered deck alongside the water. Of course, we had to have the signature Rumrunner rx cocktail. Also enjoyed perfect coconut shrimp, wedge salad and delicious grouper sandwich. The live music they had was great (sadly I didn't catch their name). Would highly recommend whether a couple or a group.

We both ordered the NY Strip Steak one with mashed potatoes and the other with the baked potatoes with a side of sweet potato fries. Was a decent meal. Went on a Thursday night, celebrating our anniversary dinner it wasn’t busy at all. Was able to be seated upon arrival. Server was attentive and no complaints. Been to Rumrunners in the past under the older management. But first time with the new updated look and new management. Enjoyed our visit.

Started out at the bar, great drinks and service, dinner was ‘spot on’, waitress Dawn was cordial and efficient, even on Easter when the place was packed! Definitely recommend, I had the scallops and hubby enjoyed the salmon. Our party was 10 and we were served hot meals that were excellently prepared! 👍🏼

The food here was great. It took a while but it was clearly them taking their time to prepare. The drinks were not watered down at all. The atmosphere is great, inside or outdoors you won't be disappointed. The staff were friendly, helpful, and genuinely made us laugh.

Pleasantly surprised. After seeing so many reviews after the new ownership, we were hesitant to go back. Our experience was great. Food was delicious. So was the service. Great wine recommendation from our server.

Awesome experience! We went at Noon on a recent Sunday. It was not crowded and the friendly hostess seated us outside under cover with a ceiling fan nearby and a nice breeze from the south. Our waiter, Drew, greeted us promptly and got us our drinks. Our entrees arrived quickly and were fantastic. I had the Caribbean Mojo Salmon that came with Cuban black beans, rice, caramelized plantains, & garlic lemon butter sauce. The rub on the salmon was wonderful and went well with the garlic lemon butter sauce. There was a good amount of black beans and rice with it. My partner had the Chicken Bites with Buffalo sauce and fries. The bites were plentiful and big, and the almost steak fry-sized fries were surprisingly crisp. The ambiance was friendly and relaxed. We were very pleased with the whole experience.

The food, atmosphere, and service were all excellent. We were celebrating our anniversary and we couldn’t have had a better table with a better view. It was also our first time trying sushi and it was delicious! Such a great meal! Our new favorite waterfront restaurant!

I visited with my boyfriend on Friday October 20th. It was a pleasant surprise because we had always passed by but never stopped in. Our waitress Kirstin made great suggestions on meal choices. We started with the cauliflower appetizer and fresh home made bread both were delicious choices. We proceeded to enjoy the Gulf coast seafood pasta and the coconut shrimp. Both meals came out freshly off the stove and were mouth watering. The texture of the pasta was perfect. The batter on the shrimp was perfectly crisp and tasted like it was dipped in fresh oil. I would recommend other to enjoy the atmosphere and meals at Rum runners.

I would love to give this five stars and totally would if it wasn’t for the manager. The food was excellent, and our server Gabe was very attentive, friendly, and quick. The manager, however was very rude and abrupt when we arrived and asked for a table. She snapped at us when we asked for an outside table, then a table with a window. She said none were available even though we saw many open tables the entire time we were there. Perhaps they were short servers, but she could have just stated that without being rude. She told one of the young hosts to put our name on the waitlist, then came back and told another host to walk us to a table and snatched the paper from the first host and told him that is not what she had said. We witnessed her running around the restaurant in panic the entire time we were there, constantly talking with all the staff, as if the place was at capacity. It was only half full and they had people waiting outside. Again, maybe they were short servers. Either way, Gabe made our dinner experience worthwhile. He recommended the Salmon Mojo and the Paella and both were excellent, as were the drinks. I would definitively recommend this place despite the manager attitude.

We recently spent my husband's 50th birthday party there. Everything was set up and they moved us over last minute very quickly when we were too close to the band. The manager was great the night of and when we met with him initially. We had great servers and a wonderful time! Food for large party came out very quick and was all correct! I would recommend the wonderful waterfront seating it even had area for the kids to play in!

In our group of 8 we all had different dishes... They were all outstanding. The staff were attentive and helpful, and the service was excellent. The entertainment was brilliant - a guy with a really soulful and smooth voice and good on guitar, played a great selection of covers. Highly recommend and will come back in the coming years (I live in London, England). Thanks for a great time!

We went here for Thanksgiving and they had a limited menu but it was all excellent. We had shrimp cocktail and the paella which I understand is on the regular menu. It had lots of seafood in it unlike some place that give you mostly rice with very little seafood. The waitress was very helpful making suggestions for one of us with food restrictions. Music was excellent.

Love this spot in Cape Coral. Beautiful views, service was great and the food is delicious. I suggest getting a table outside or close to a window inside to enjoy the views. We saw dolphins! PS: also great vegan and vegetarian options!

The food was amazing, the staff was amazing, the service was amazing! Brought the wife, kids, etc. Everything was almost perfect until the kids could not watch tablets bc the wifi was not amazing and the mosquitos were bad outside. Its 2022 please get wifi for guests and put some mosquitos deterance up. This would have been 5/5 slam dunk. The place has definitely improved from last time. all in all the food was really good and so was the service. I would go back again and eat inside. We had the calamari, escargot, short ribs, ceasar salad, and a few other items all delicious.

Party of 10. When we booked we were informed you cannot book an outdoor table but if available on arrival you could have one. On arrival we were told that a maximum party size of 7 was allowed outside. Food arrived less 2 of the children's meals! One arrived 5 minutes later and one after everyone else had finished. Of the food 2 of us had the house special fish pot pie. We both agreed it was very low on taste and flavour. The sides of Broccoli and asparagus were cold and tough. The risotto and mussels were good. Feel that the place is relying on its old reputation and is putting in very little effort to keep up standards. As a party of 10 the tip was automatically added to the bill. Suggest use for drinks and snacks Fathoms next door is excellent in comparison!

Great music, great service and really good food!! The whole family will enjoy eating here!! But just don't forget to pack your bug spray!!

My husband took me here as a date night. It really wasn't bad. My meal was pretty good but my husband wasn't fond of his. He had the grooper special as i had sushi. Atmosphere was fun. Lots of laughter. Didn't know we had to make a reservation but they got us in pretty fast. Definitely a high class restaurant, expensive depending on what you order. Our bill was around $142. Thank yoynto Cassidy, our waitress. Super nice and quick with her service.

Had lunch here for the first time. The place was awesome, good views of the boats coming in and out. Excellent food, drinks were perfectly balanced, and the wait staff was simply awesome. Whomever does the training here should be commended, as the staff was second to none. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I went there with my boss from Japan for business lunch. Staffs are really friendly and nice! Also we ate steaks and it was great! I left my iPhone but they brought it when I was in parking area. Thank you so much and I will come back with my family next time.

My friends and I went to Rum Runners for the view and atmosphere but turns out the food and service was excellent too! Dawn was our server and she was very attentive and knowledgeable. We very much enjoyed her bubbly personality. I ended up getting the Chicken Alfredo. I’m definitely going back!

My husband and I went last minute on Easter Sunday a little after 4pm. No reservations. We were seated immediately and our server was at our table in under a minute. Drinks/appetizers/meal was good and brought to us in a timely manner. Service was excellent. (I think his name was Kyle? I'm terrible with names.) We will be back.

Sat on the back patio with a nice view overlooking the mariana. Food and drinks were delicious! Especially the garlic butter bread basket. Waitress was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!

We were there last night and had the best dining experience ever. Food and drinks were great, but what made it really amazing was the service. Our waitress Dawn, was a tiny, cute, very friendly blonde. She gave us the Royal treatment, always seemed to know exactly what we needed, even before we asked. Prompt and extremely friendly, made the evening very special. Kudos to management for hiring her, not sure what she gets paid, but whatever it is it’s not enough. Treat her well, she’s a keeper and you are lucky to have her at your establishment. I highly recommend Rim Runners for a great dining experience and ask for Dawn, you won’t regret it.
