This is a wonderful diner! The decor was modern and up in date. The staff, from greeters to wait staff are friendly, and knowledgeable. We loved their breakfast selection, especially the Lobster Eggs Benedict. They were pretty busy and we had to wait a few minutes for our table. It was worth waiting. Food was wonderfully prepared and presented and tasted delicious. We will be back for sure!

Since there is a Mel's Diner inside of Universal Studios in Orlando, we had to go check out this location. Everything was great, the food was delicious and the service was fantastic! We highly recommend it if you are craving a delicious breakfast!🙌

Very good service, only moderate wait time for the food, and cheerful, friendly banter with staff. Food was quite tasty as well. Happy customers here!

Excellent place to eat with large menu and very reasonable prices. Service was fast and efficient. My two friends had the liver and onions (yuck) and said was the best they've had from a restaurant. I had fish sandwich and was excellent! Will definitely return. A+A+

First time here. They're currently cash only due to hurricane Ian connectivity issues. The seating was quick, even with the restaurant full. Our server, Sandra, was attentive and friendly. The chicken Parm sandwich is too big to finish in 1 sitting. I ordered liver. It was mostly good. They bacon was overcooked and a portion of the liver was raw. But I managed to enjoy it, still. The beer prices are cheap.

Our second visit. Hubby and I Ordered BLT.....they used burnt broken bacon pieces off the grill, and the one slice of of bacon was real fatty and not browned or cooked much. In their defense they brought me a new half a sandwich after a little complaining, which looked good, and is how it should have been done in the first place. You only get one chance to make a first impression. This was our second and last visit.

Milkshakes for breakfast? Yes Please! Great service even when busy...they are always busy, but been seated right away! Only critique is that one time sausage gravy very good and flavorful the next time too thick and tasted like flour!

We went for our monthly family dinner out. I truthfully like the Ft Myers Mel's better but the atmosphere was nice and low key with this one. I got the Sanibel salad minus the mandarin oranges with grilled chicken. It made 2 good meals. Great service

Wow, just wow. Very first thing I noticed when I got out of my car was a statue on the side of Jesus. I walked inside and this beautiful restaurant had little statues of Jesus and the cross in numerous places. It is so amazing to see God's children showing people who Jesus is like this even in their business. Just so beautiful. If I visit cape coral again and want to sit down for food in the future, I will absolutely be back. To top it all off, I was on a time crunch (40 mins) and I was in and out with 10 minutes to spare and every person that talked to me who worked there was so nice and accommodating and just wonderful. God Bless this place and use it as your ministry Lord. Happy good Friday! P.S. The regular cheese pizza is good!

Omg I love this diner! It's so great and amazing. When I'm feeling like having a mimosa, my husband brings me here. They're breakfast is amazing! Staff is always friendly and the feel here is just so welcoming. Decent priced and food portion is more than enough for one. They have merchandise to purchase up at the front too. Weekends you could be waiting a little but it will be worth it.

Mel’s is popular for a reason and consistency has a lot to do with that. We’ve always had great service and the variety of food is sometimes astonishing. On a Sunday afternoon we had fruit pancakes and eggs on one side and the Sunday special pork dinner on the other. No complaints, always leave smiling.

Very dirty with all the leftover paper and food on the floor. Food is served lukewarm. Mashed potatoes tasted old and was cold. Pulled pork was way too sweet and tasted like dessert. . Have been here several times but today it was a disaster.

We love Mel’s. It’s typical diner food at reasonable prices. As a big family, it’s probably the most affordable sit-down place we can go. Plus, the menu is so large that there’s something everyone likes — especially the milkshakes! It’s clean and casual. I recommend the American Idol burger combo, which comes with fries, onion rings and a milkshake.

Been having breakfast here every week since they opened. Also, go occasionally for their prime rib ( after 4 pm). Both are excellent. Burgers are very good . Steak & eggs is top notch, don't know how they do it for the price. Chris, our server is fantastic & a "blast" When feeling like we need a pick me up,we go just for their carrot cake

Had some brunch with family today. The food was good, and the waitress was friendly. It's not the old Mel's dinner look I'm used to, but the new modern version is nice.

Breakfast with brother @ Mel's You won't walk away hungry...prices reasonable... but I'm lkn for quality ovr quanity. Went to Thanksgiving dinner. I was amazed how fast they moved people in & out for dinner. The personnel, servers and those who would clean up tables afterwards were smiling happy and courteous beyond measure especially for the long day they had to experience. I could not even fathom how the cooks and kitchen help stayed up with all those orders!!!! Simply Unbelievable!!! You guys are the greatest!!! God bless and thank you for a great experience. 😎👍😀

I really love visiting Mel's. I have never been disappointed. This latest visit we had a chicken pasta dish and these amazing boom boom shrimp taco's that my wife loved! We live closer now so I am sure we will be there more often. Thank you for doing such a great job from the food to the service to the well maintained resturant.

My family wanted to well, have zero clean-up this year so we had a great time at Mel's Siner I stead. The reason for 4 stars is, I'm not the immediate 5 🌟 guy. 4 stars is awesome in my book. The turkey was a bit dry, as it was the general consensus of the table. Let me be clear, this is not a dig on your kitchen staff. Everything was wonderful, turkey was a bit dry, sorry. All of us still love you, but it was a lil dry.

The omelets here are always so good! The pancakes are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Ask for the breakfast potatoes to be well done, trust me they're well seasoned and crunchy! 10/10 for breakfast or diner food, and the service has always been friendly and helpful. I highly recommend!

It was very busy and it seems like the waitress was buried. Service was slow but even the manager helped out getting us drinks. The food was good and the service was as good as can be expected under the current situation with staff shortages. The staff was courteous and friendly. I can't blame the manager or the help as they all did the best they possibly could. Thankfully we didn't have any irate customers while I was in the restaurant. These days I find other patrons to be more damaging to my experience than the staff that is working so hard to serve us. Good job to the management and staff at Mel's diner!

Love this diner. They make the best/biggest salads. I usually always have pleasant waitors/waitresses here also.

Food was excellent & staff was very friendly and helpful. Our order included biscuits and gravy but wasn't brought with the other food. The manager came over to apologize & explained that they were in the process of making the biscuits and the order would be brought out shortly. Both the manager and server repeatedly came & apologized for the wait. We told them not to be concerned about it. Our experiences dining at Mel's has always been great. We would highly recommend choosing Mel's for great food & friendly & helpful staff.

Mel's Diner is a place where you go with the "Flo". A twist from the show. As a guest here staying locally, I was highly impressed by the service and the extensive menu that is amazing. The Cheeseburgers are top notch and I also enjoyed the nostalgia from the front door to the tables. The Milk shakes are top notch and so so yummy. Other than the slightly smaller glasses that the shakes come in the shake was completely amazing reminding me of the 50 style malts served at Johnny Rockets. The booths are very clean and the toilets were very clean and above expectations. The waitress service was top notch. One waitress is an honorable mention. I visited this location twice and the Waitress named " Jo Jo" was handling the table where my wife and I sat. Although she had many tables , she was so courteous and amazing with an overload of tables. Seems the place is short staffed with waitresses one thing I found wrong is that the waitress has an extra burden of taking the checks to a cashier. This I found should not be a waitress thing to do since it takes away from taking care of customers needs. This business should be utilizing a cashier since the high volume of customers the owner can afford one. As a family member already a diner owner, I never saw a waitress doing a cashier's job. Other than this shortcoming this place deserves 5 stars.

I should preface this by saying we went on St. Patrick’s day morning, so it was very busy. Mel’s diner was a whirlwind of emotions in our dining experience. To start we got seated very shortly after we walked in. Then when seated, the waitress was very snappy and sort of rude. I, at least, was off put by the rudeness but others in my party didn’t seem to feel the same. Shortly after the waitress took our order she came back and apologized for being snappy, and stated she just got into work and already has a million things to do. Perfect, you owned up and apologized, everything is forgotten. We had an amazing meal, that tasted delicious, albeit the sides were smaller than expected. The waitress was attentive and sweet while running around the whole place like crazy. At the end of our dining experience, us 4 being the youngest people in the place by 40 years, a very nice old woman came to our table and talked to us. She asked us where we were from, where we are staying and what we’ve done. She was super cool and really sweet. Overall, Mel’s is awesome, and is a great place to go for some morning grub.

Surprisingly, we got in to Mel's Diner very quickly. Usually there is line right outside. But we got lucky. This is a diner with a very extensive menu with great prices and variety. Service is quite quick friendly. I had the hot turkey sandwich. It came with a small dollop of mashed potato, two slices of bread and a huge amount of wonderful sliced turkey done to perfection. All of this covered in a large amount of gravy. Almost enough to satisfy my love/need of it. I had to borrow a couple of spoonfuls from my wife who fortunately for me doesn't like that much. Other dinners people around us were getting looked great as well. Very good value here considering the way prices are rising everywhere else. We will have to get back here again soon.

Not very good. Service was not the best and I got literally like 5 maybe 6 French fries and I think they scrounged those up from the counter. It was new years eve so we just ordered a sandwich and a burger which was cold and not cooked to order. thinking that would be the safest! Not!!! No we did not contact the manager...she sat us and made us feel as if we were not welcome. We should have left. We won't be back

I am a traditional breakfast fan. Great menu options however the food not up to par. Out of at least two of their signature dishes. Pancakes were cold and chewy. Eggs served cold on my dish. Did appreciate the fresh-squeezed orange juice.

Mel’s is my favorite place to eat when I come to Cape Coral. I like to come on Wednesday because the special is stuffed cabbage rolls. Today I stopped on a Monday and decided to try the pot roast. Unfortunately it was not up to Mel’s standards! I think it has been warmed up several times. It was tasteless and mushy. I should have sent it back! Oh well, I’ll be back, probably on a Wednesday!

Great service, great food, cool atmosphere. Went here for lunch and got the cheeseburger lunch special for $8 and only $0.50 cents to add bacon! Burger was cooked to perfection and spiced properly. Comes with coleslaw and fries. Passed on the coleslaw for personal prefrrence reasons but the fries were great, not soggy like a lot of places I've been to. This may sound funny but their sweet tea was delicious! Hard to find good sweet tea but this place has the ratios down perfect. Menu was convenient, plenty of items to choose from, a little something for everyone. A great to to pick up a quick meal with enjoyment. Give it a try if you have not already!

Mel’s in Cape is the absolute best! Family friendly and such tasty food! Our family loves that we can eat out there and feed an army of 6+ for a very reasonable price while still being provided with great service and a fun atmosphere. The restaurant and restrooms are also very clean and the management, hosts, and waitstaff are extremely attentive. This is our family’s spot!

From out of town and visiting family. A friend on Facebook mentions Mel's all the time so I had to try it! Bring your appetite because the breakfast servings are huge. Everything was cooked correctly, it was clean and a pleasant experience. Our server did a great job. I had the country fried steak with real sausage gravy (not a mix), eggs, hash browns and toast. Wasn't wild about the hash browns. My boyfriend had the Belgian Waffle, eggs, toast and cheese grits. Neither of is could finish our breakfast.

Never get fish tacos at a diner. I was just in the mood for fish. The waitress jojo was fantastic and the strawberry salad was great.
