What a cool hotel. The lobby portion is a former bank with the vault serving a conference room. Really neat historic building. The rooms are located on the upper floors as well as a connected building in the back. My spacious room had really high ceilings that made it feel nice and open. The staff here was very friendly and welcoming, the bar has a nice selection of bourbon and whisky and they offered a great recommendation that I could walk to for pizza although they also have a cafe on-site. Ample parking available on-site at no cost. I was just staying overnight on a road-trip but during my short walk around town I really hope I have a chance to come back though and stay a few days.

This is a beautiful, clean, spacious, well appointed, and comfortable hotel. It’s in a great location. Parking was easy. Staff were friendly. I absolutely love how they restored this historical building, leaving the charm of the old, but marrying it with the modern. We 100% recommend this hotel.

Mattress was awful. It was like sleeping in a hammock the mattress springs were so worn out. This was in handicap room, which makes it much harder for a disabled person to get in and out of bed, and get comfortable to sleep. Otherwise hotel was beautiful to look at, but NOT A GOOD PLACE TO SLEEP. I didn't sleep well and could hardly move after getting up from that old worn out mattress 😥😥😥

My friend and I decided to stay here after driving late at night. We needed a place to sleep. The hotel staff member that was on at the time(Aug 11/23) was very gracious and was able to accommodate us after midnight. The room was wonderful. It comfortable and very clean. Check out was smooth. After checkout I realized my expensive necklace fell off my neck in somewhere in the room. We went back and they searched the room but we couldn't find anything. So they took my name and number and would call if they found it. About 2 hours later I got the call that they found it in the laundry. I was so ecstatic! I'm from Canada and they were able ship it to me. I just wanted to say thank you to all the wonderful staff that was on that morning to help me locate that. Great character in the staff. Just a wonderful hotel. Would recommend to anyone.

One of the coolest Courtyards I've ever stayed in. A historic property in the heart of Cape Girardeau. The building is rich with history and and character, marble staircases, old brass hardware, and the vault door to top it all off makes the lobby very special.

There isn't a better location to stay in Cape Girardeau. Close to all the eateries, nightlife, and knowledgeable staff. You don't even have to leave to experience a great bar staff who can fill you in on the real Cape. Every room is different and spacious to make you feel at home.

Rooms are clean, they have a coffee maker and a fridge but no microwave or toaster. The sink smells like mildew when the water is running. No pool No hottub No free breakfast Exercise room available Parking is bad, overcrowded from nearby shops

We just happened to stop here on our road trip home from seeing our new grandbabies in Alabama ( #Carmackquads ). The hotel is beautiful. All the marble is so pretty, our room was big, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was very nice. They had the biggest bath towels I've ever seen in a hotel. My husband's favorite was the comfortable chair in the room. The location is amazing. A short walk and you're by the river. What a beautiful spot!!! We had dinner at Broussards, a local Cajun restaurant. Best food we've had since we left home 2 weeks ago. We were very happy with our stay here! I would definitely stay here on our next trip back to Alabama.

The character of this place is amazing. It's also very clean, and an extremely stylish mix of new decor that blends very well with the historic aspects of the building they kept in place. The rooms aren't small, but feel even bigger with ceilings that go up to 10ft. Easily my favorite hotel in southeast Missouri, and one of my favorites, anywhere.

This is an incredibly nice hotel. Everything about the stay was great. It all started with Moses being so kind and helpful down at the front desk. I think he could tell we were a little lost as that lower area is pretty massive with stairs and levels. He took care of us. Thanks Moses!

An amazing building with beautiful rooms! I highly recommend this hotel if staying in Cape Girardeau. Excellent service, the bar is great, and there are really good restaurants nearby. Check out Mary Jane Bourbon and Smokehouse!

Really nice clean hotel with great staff. I mainly want to express my appreciation for Audra at check-in. I was in Cape Girardeau for the marathon event. I was participating in the half marathon as an older walker. The checkout time did not give me enough time to get back to the hotel after the race by checkout time and Audra was so kind to extend my checkout time. I just want to give her a shout out and say thank you for helping me!!!

Fabulous hotel!! The whole hotel was very clean! Room and bed was wonderful and decor was impressive! Very comfortable! Staff was outstanding! We will definitely be back!

We just had a marvelous 2 day stay here! Loved the hotel, the staff, the history of the place, everything. Classic architecture with modern amenities. Beautiful common areas with comfortable, intimate, seating. Even an outdoor patio that's charming yet private. All surrounded by a very walkable, urban setting near many shops and restaurants. It's my new favorite weekend getaway!

This was not your typical hotel building. It is made out of a historic building. It has huge hallways, huge rooms , a valt downstairs, old mail system. It's just a really pretty building. It's a nice close walk down to the river. I will definitely stay here again!

Service is fantastic, rooms are gorgeous, cute downtown area with great views of the Mississippi River. We love staying here as the beds are comfortable, rooms are quiet, and it's easy to get to. Lots of things to do within walking distance.

This hotel is amazing! The staff and management is wonderful, friendly, and very helpful. The hotel is a 1838 remodeled bank building and is beautiful. Rooms are spacious and very clean as well as quite. I highly recommend this Marriott and I’m an ambassador élite, travel weekly!

Unique hotel. Everything was very clean. Blinds and drapes for room darkening. The shower had excellent water pressure. The area had some bars on windows, liquor stores and abandoned buildings but the hotel property was well lit Only stayed 1 night but would stay here again.

1. Water pressure in the shower is excellent. 2. Surprisingly the room is very quiet unlike some of comments I read here. 3. The staffs are gracious and helpful. 4. The bathroom is clean as it could be and well designed. Thank you so much

The nicest hotel in Cape. Great location within walking distance of downtown. Great layout in what was once a bank. My only regret was that I had to leave before breakfast began.

This hotel is exceptional and unique with excellent access to restaurants and bars. The front desk staff was both friendly and informative. This was our 1st trip to the river area in Cape but sure not to be our last.

A decent hotel in downtown Cape Girardeau. The parking lot is a bit tight and they pump a bit too much perfume into the air system in the lobby. Otherwise it is an interesting historical building recently updated. There is no complimentary breakfast. Staff was friendly and efficient.

Art deco architecture and rooms are unique in design with everything you need. What's not to like? Bar is cool and selection is fine. Down the road from some fine restaurants. Yeah, 10/10

The most important thing when I stay at any hotel is it’s location, the comfort of the bed and the friendliness of the people that work there. The Courtyard Marriott was great on all counts, although I did have to turn the air conditioning idown as it was cold enough to freeze your bits off. I really enjoyed Cape Girardeau and it had some super restaurants and bars. Fun times!

Platinum elite plus member with Marriott for 9+ years so Marriott brand is not unfamiliar to me. I was asked to show proof of Govt ID. In itself not I guess ok, but then also take the time to read my profile as well as I ask for a high floor and extra items that a Fairfield inn can get right so I’m not sure why a 5 star hotel who prides itself as being the best place in Cape Girardeau can figure out. As others have said the mattress seem like they are hand me down from the Super 8. AC turns off every 2 hours so you get hot and have to get up and turn the “power saving” unit back on. Didn’t get much sleep as the rooms are noisy and large gap under the doors. Would not recommend…..

I arrived at the hotel at 1 a.m. The lovely young lady that checked me in was friendly, efficient, and helpful. All the clerks I spoke with were awesome. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the shower was heavenly after my long drive. I would absolutely stay here again.
