You can never get through on the phone, just takes you to the national call center. Processes are atrocious. Have not been able to return an online order for nearly 3 weeks because the portal still reflects it as having not been delivered. Despite daily calls, emails and conversation with customer support on the website, nothing has been done to date. Terrible after sales service. Really atrocious. Our business would rather pay more and get service than Make a very small saving and get these headaches.

I regret Black Friday purchases of 2 cell phones. 2-5 days delivery - my foot! No responses to online messages, emails and they don't answer the phone - due to high volume bla, bla bla.

Came here for MrBeasts chocolate and got so distracted and bought so many other things!! Been here zillions of times and is always fun to visit!!

The absolute worst of all the online retailers. Ordered a study guide 10 days ago, no one knows what happened to it. Numerous emails to customer service go unanswered, 15 minute phone calls end up with them unable to give me any updates on the progress of the order. Useless in the extreme. Stay away.

Makro has alot.staff are friendly and helpful in all sections.store always clean BUT how does a shop like makro with the biggest meat section have such high prices.I could never do a months shopping for meat there.they have great bulk packages but for the price its really baffles my mind.Their prices are way above spar.pnp.shoprite and checkers.its a great pity.I rate them 3 stars for service and cleanliness and functionality(lines move quickly)but I wont rate them on their bulk prices. Needed hooks and wood stainer and 2mm wood drill bits, could only find steel bits in 2mm sold loose... But most of my list had been ticked off in one visit!! They have a section of marked down old stock that is nice, or just items where packaging has been damaged all marked down .

I am so disappointed in the online shopping service with Makro. I ordered 2 packs of vacuum bags on Sunday 21 August. I have still not been sent a message to collect. I have called them every day and been told that so far it hasn’t even been packed you. They don’t even have to deliver. I cannot go buy these bags I can only order on line. Shocking service. Not a happy customer. Then yesterday I was told that it take between 2 and 5 working days. Really!!!!

Helpful service from the call centre up and until purchasing. Clint was very helpful and could answer all our questions about the product that we were interested in. Keep up the great work!!!

Cheryl definitely deserves 5 stars. What an absolute pleasure it is dealing with this lady who gives more than what is expected of her. She had even helped me once on her day off :). Her positive approach and 'always ready to assist' approach is admirable.

Maybe I am just lucky or maybe the God of Shopping has been watching over me but all my online orders and once a year visit to Makro in CT have been incident free. In store can get hectic especially for someone who avoids crowds so in that respect I am fortunate indeed that most of my orders are online and I cannot fault them, comms are great, processing is quick and delivery is pain-free. I have no problem with their service and will continue to support them

Went to GELMAR first. Really good supplier of drawer and cupboard handles, Legs for tables and a lot of fasteners, wheels for bedside tables etc. They had Christmas in July with popcorn, filter coffee, sports drinks & balloon figures for the kids for free. Very helpful staff. Makro was okay but a lot of prices are too high for everyday items with a few specials

Staff very Friendly and very helpful they will go the extra mile will definitely go shop there again. Staff at the printers really know what they selling and can recommend the right printer. Thank you so much made my shopping experience very pleasant.

This place is massive. So many product options. In general, stuff is cheaper here, but it’s not a blanket rule. They have really great specials, but it’s on a wide range of products so you need to watch to see what’s on special. Some products you have to buy in bulk which is annoying if you only want 1 or 2 units, not everyone wants to buy 12 deodorants up front. Service is a bit of a mixed bag, some of them are very helpful and others not. In general, I’ve had good experiences here and do go fairly regularly.

It is perfect for bulk buying when it comes to food. The service for other goods is terrible. The teller system works super fast, but the one person checking your slip at the exit takes so long. The Cafe also serves lovely coffee and breakfasts.

Massive story with a wide variety of affordable items. Always busy. It is difficult to get assistance and someone to assist in store.

I enjoy the store although you need time to walk around. Staff are generally quite helpful and a range of items from electronics, clothing, food stuffs, tools, toys, stationery and more. They generally have some great deals if you take the time to explore and want to buy in bulk. Ensure you have a macro card though before you purchase and remember they will check your till slip on exit.

Everything you need under one roof, secure parking, great in shop specials on lots of goods .

I have been shopping at your store every month since you opened your doors. Slowly your customer service has been falling at a fast rate. The assistant in the gym equipment section is extremely rude and blamed us for a manufacturing issue. I will never set foot in this store again.

Makro Is just another level of shopping experience. I do our monthly bulk shopping there for the prisoner food for work and I find everything there in bulk under one roof at affordable prices. It is just such an amazing shopping experience. And all the friendly people I have met there is unbelievable

Received excellent service from the gent in the bicycle department. Purchased a kiddies bike from them and he assembled it very quickly for us. Unfortunately it gave a problem after a month but this was not problem for the same gent in the bicycle department. He replaced the part quickly for us while we browsed around. Didn’t get his name but he’s a true ambassador to the store. Well done on the excellent customer service in this department.

All the staff is so friendly and helpfull. This is a huge warehouse style shop, just about anything you can imagine you will find here, all at great prices.....yes you need to buy in bulk, but the savings are huge

Ordered a bicycle on 24 Nov 2022 as a Christmas gift for my boy still haven't received it almost a month later. Phoned in many times but various agents are not communicating the same message. Nobody seems to be assisting. The customer service department is really are bad at communicating and providing feedback. Not my first time buying from makro very disappointed. I hope they will deliver before Christmas

I would like to take the opportunity to commend and thank Wayne from the Paint department at Makro Montague Gardens for the excellent and efficient way in which he resolved my paint query. Makro can be proud of this gentleman and he is truly an asset to the department store. Keep up the good work and well done. I experienced a rather unusual problem that appeared to be compatibility related with regard to a paint product I purchased.Wayne went out of he's way to accomodate me and resolved the issue. Many thanks.

Love that it's so spacious and staff are generally very helpful. Good specials but you definitely need to know your prices for products when coming here.

Mega shopping experience. Most chasiers are rude though. Should be lucky to get one that makes you feel like a shopper. But the store is great.
