This is my 3rd pregnancy and for the 3rd time I went to Al-Nisa for my scans. I had 2 previous emergency c-sections so I knew I could not give birth there. Yet they charged me a booking fee of R1000. Why am I paying a booking fee if I can't even book there? With my previous pregnancies I would ask them how much the next appointment would cost as I needed to know how much money to put aside as I pay cash for my appointments. They would give me an amount but on the day, after having everything done and paying at reception they would give me some other amount (more than what they had previously stated). This happens so much and other people have complained of the same problem. This supposed to be Muslim people who rip you off like this. When I asked the receptionist why am I paying a booking fee if you know I can't book here, she just shrugged, gave me no answer and handed me the card machine with the amount already put in. I find them to be extremely unprofessional and very sly and will find ways to con you out of your money. It is very shameful.

Been with Alnisa for just over a year. With my prenatal appointments the midwives are exceptional. Each and everyone (you meet different ones for each appointment). Unfortunately I had to be transferred after labor didn't progress - while I was under their care they are tentative and make sure you are well taken care of. But of late the reception staff has been putrid. The most unfriendly and unhelpful bunch. I've had my babies vaccinations appointments rescheduled with no one getting back to me on dates. Calling numerous times and only being slotted in a month later. The manner in which they address the patients are awful - your front of house staff make or breaks an experience. Especially dealing with 1st time moms. I've had a receptionist bad mouth a client to me while keeping the patient on hold because she kept calling. I've always recommended you to everyone that's asked about my choice of birthing facility but now I can't say the same for your post natal care and assistance.

I have had two of my babies here, the first experience was great until giving birth and the nurse that helped bring my baby into the world wasn't the nicest of people, but her aside, the whole experience with check ups and ultrasounds was top tier, what wonderful People! And with my second, during a pandemic, everyone from the security, cleaners, reception and nurses were amazing! Such a beautiful and holistic experience, worth all the 5 stars.

Myself and my partner had our baby delivered at Al-Nisa yesterday, the experience was nothing short of amazing. Janine & Zuki were super helpful and made us feel comfortable and calm. After delivery we were taken care of by Cathy who helped us answer all our questions we had as first time parents. We never ever felt like we were a burden or just another couple in delivery. Would highly recommend Al-Nisa as an affordable yet very caring and professional maternity home

I visited Al-Nisa today for an amazing experience. The staff are respectful, friendly and very welcoming. The facility has a clean, modern and up-market design and makes me feel like I'm in a fancy hotel; while it boasts a comforting atmosphere offering the full range of ante- and post-natal services, while making you feel right at home. I would summarize it as a medical centre that offers a warm caring pregnancy experience, with a competent & professional, but still pleasant and supportive birthing experience you may not necessarily find in a hospital. My only regret, is that I don't have pictures to show you of how great is looks inside now after all the renovations they've made. So you'd have to go see for yourself...

Not happy with the service at all. New lady at front desk was very rude and unreasonable. Came all the way from Mitchell's plain for an appointment and was 10min late due to roadworks and loadshedding. They didn't want to see to me with my appointment and told home and phone in to reschedule on time. I would rather go to dischem and won't even use them to deliver babies because no doctors or nurses available. I was loyal with them always just because of the way I was treated before this new lady in front was there but I'm done with Al nisa

Stay away if you can. We were told that they picked up down syndrome markers on our babies ultrasound and we should decide soon if we want to continue with the pregnancy or terminate it. We couldn't believe this as it was an absolute shock to us as everything else was fine with our baby. 9 months later my wife gave birth to a beautiful baby girl Alhamdulillah. We ended up paying more at another hospital but at least we received the proper care and professionalism and we had peace of mind that everything was going to be fine. This is just one incident of another that we experienced with Al Nisa.

Totally and utterly disgusting service for the kind of money they demand from you. They treated me like a 2nd rated patient, lost my medical records and took no responsibility. They chose to shout at me like I'm some child instead in front of the entire reception area. No one was gentle, accommodating or educational as I am a first time mom and am paying for a service. No one every gets back to you. I had a few emergencies during my pregnancy and I guess they still responding to my emergencies even though I'm about to give birth already. No accountability. No empathy from majority of staff members. They literally are more interested in daylight robbing you forcing you to buy from THEIR pharmacy instead of anywhere else, therefore charging me 600 for a bottle of Citra soda. The list goes on and on and on. I don't know how they even running such a zoo. I honestly left that place in tears a few times.

Horrible! I was always on time for my appointments which we needed to take off from work for, but we ended up having to wait 30 min to an hour to be seen, no pelvic exams done and at 20 weeks I lost my son due to them not seeing the importance of his issues, he had a heart defect but they waited a whole week to actually give me a referral and another week wait to see the hospital, after being told my baby had already passed I was refused a second opinion by them because “he’s already dead so there’s no point” if I could rate 0 stars I definitely would

Legal Online Posting publiclyLearn more about writing reviews on Google Some of the staff is alright ,always courteous you see them as they pass through the reception but I was dissapointed in the sonographer,I am not sure how many there are,but the one that attended to me,they didnt take time to prep the room before calling in the next client which doesn't make it different from a public hospital. These clients are paying clients -whether your client is white, colored or black - they pay the same amount of fees please take time to prep the room ,the bed where your client will lay if your clients wanted public service they would go to the public hospital. Dont judge a book by the cover it might look like this one might not mind but we see it and we take note.

My husband and I had the most beautiful service ever, so professional, courteous, calm and understanding. It was our first baby, so naturally we did not know what to expect, but we were kept informed all the way. Pregnancy wasn't smooth sailing, but they ensured that I do everything to help them assist me with delivering a healthy baby. I remember I had braxton hicks and PAPS at 38 weeks along, they booked me in after I was unable to sleep due to the practice contractions, well needed rest because the baby came 3 days later. We were well monitored, laboured in the bath, had the entire labour ward to myself, we were able to create a calming atmosphere with lights and music, it was the BEST. Thank you Al-Nisa for having my back, we love you - midwives, lactation nurses, sonographers, receptionist.

I highly recommend!!! I had the most beautiful birthing experience. I had just the right amount of help and support and the right amount of space. I felt so comfortable and well cared for. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and I’d like to give a super special thank you to Sister Cathy and Sister Janine. Thank you for looking after my daughter and I so nicely all the way through my pregnancy, to the actual birth, to the check ups afterwards. I will definitely return for baby number 2.

Awesome experience with Alnisa! Such friendly and efficient staff - from the moment you arrive at reception, to the midwives who do your checks, the sonographers, accounts department, and the amazing ladies who handle the post birth mom & baby check-ups. All of the Alnisa staff are great! Really appreciate how accommodative and thorough they were, especially the care from the midwives on my pregnancy journey. Special mention of Kirsty Tito, the post natal midwife, who really gave us excellent service and a lot of great advice and answering of all our questions regarding post pregnancy and baby. I am having all my baby clinic checks with them and I will definitely use them again in my next pregnancy.

I highly recommend Al Nisa. I started off with Al Nisa at the beginning of my pregnancy and has the pleasure of having an amazing midwife, Natalie. She made me feel Extremely comfortable with each visit and answered every question I had. She made each visit pleasant and exciting as she has an amazing personality which made myself and my husband feel relaxed. My labour experience at Al Nisa was exactly what I had wanted and I received much more than that too. My water broke without any pains and I decided to go into Al Nisa after about 6hrs. I was kept for observation and was almost transfered bc my labour wasn't progressing fast enough the next day. This is when two angels walked into my room at 07:30am. Sister Shandre and sister Cathy. Sister Shandre looked at me and saw all my anxiety and fear and told me not to worry, I'll give birth there. Sister Cathy, stayed with me from the time she met me and taught my husband how to assist me with contractions and taught me breathing techniques. She provided the care I needed and presented a motherly figure, it felt as if I had known her forever, she made me feel comfortable, seen and relaxed. Sister Shandre and sister Cathy prayed with me the entire time, resulting in my labour to speed up as they told me by 12:30 she'll be out. And it was exactly like that, sister Shandre allowed me to labour the way I felt comfortable to and assured me throughout. Sister Cathy reassured me through each contraction. I do not think I'd have such an amazing birthing experience if it wasn't for sister Shandre and Cathy. I had alot of anxiety going into labour and was very fearful of it. However, these two ladies as well as sister Natalie provided me with the environment, care, and space to have a pleasant pregnancy and even better delivery. Al Nisa as a whole was my first choice because of the calming environment you are presented with, one feels seen and known especially by security and both receptionist who go above and beyond what is required. My post natal check ups have been great too and I would highly recommend Al Nisa to anyone who would like to give birth in a calming environment with nurses and midwives who put your needs and wants first. Thank you sister Shandre, sister Cathy and sister Natalie.

I was first introduced to Alnisa’s by my cousin and some colleagues at work. My whole pregnancy journey was pleasant with Alnisa’s antenatal services. I also gave birth at Alnisa’s and the midwife’s were so amazing throughout the whole process.
