Absolute 10/10 on the food and the service! My goodness, it was DELICIOUS. We had a selection of starters as well as the lamb for the main. Wow wow wow! You will not be disappointed here - a must visit! ✨

Fantastic sitting around the fountain. Our waitress Julie (I think that was how it was spelt) was very attentive and friendly. The food was very nice. Though it looked small it was very filling. The only negative was that fries turned out to be two quarters of potatoes which though nice seemed a little tight. Definitely would go again.

Sat in the garden. Most beautiful evening. Ordered a lamb roast and the meat was so soft. The lemon flavoured roast was just perfect. Must return to taste something else on the menu .

Stunning atmosphere, perfect spot for the winter with indoor fire places. The peasant bread meze is absolutely scrumptious. Waitrons were friendly, quick and efficient. Highly recommend this restaurant.

The Greek Fisherman is like no other place in Cape Town. It is unique, it is homely and the food is fresh and fabulous, just like the owner who makes sure everyone feels at home and well taken care of when enjoying a delicious meal there. I was silly, I am so used to paying a lot for small meals that we ordered way too much, because the portion sizes are fantastic! I literally had to take my mains home because I ordered way too many starters and each one of them was mouth wateringly amazing. It has been so long since I have enjoyed home made taramasalata and it was so good! The greek salad had a healthy portion of creamy greek feta on it. The peasant bread and pita were fresh and straight out of the oven and it was so lovely to have tomato based mussels for a change. The beef slouvaki was incredibly soft and juicy and I absolutely loved the asparagus pasta. Everything was incredible and I am so glad we went there for a dinner date. It was perfect. Even though I was super full, I could not leave without their famous Loukomades (little drops of heaven topped with honey) that were so warm and left us in a happy place. Definitely an awesome place to take the kids, have a night out with friends or just a romantic date for two. We will definitlely be back!

We were seated in the courtyard next to the fountain for dinner. When the sun set, the temperature dropped, and our waiter brought out blankets, which was really sweet! Their menu is diverse, and prices moderate. I thoroughly enjoyed my calamari mains while my husband enjoyed the seafood pasta. Both dishes were well presented, incredibly tasty and a good portion size. We will most definitely be back!

We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. Being "The Greek Fisherman", we enjoyed both dining experiences. We enjoyed Greek starters and Seafood mains. The indoor fireplaces brings a warm caring atmosphere. The servers are attentive and professional. Our meals were enjoyable. I would return to this restaurant.

We ate here recently, the setting is great - cosy little courtyard with a fountain. Nice vibe. Mixed reviews about food, some was very good, some was a bit bland. The reason I'm giving 2 stars is that 3 out of 4 of us were really sick the next day. I wouldn't ever mention this in a review if I wasn't certain, but the three of us that were sick all ate the stuffed calamari which had a strange taste when we ate it. One of the four was ill for several days. Interestingly a different friend went there a couple of weeks later and when I asked how it was, without prompting, he said he had a really good meal but he got food poisoning :( I wish I could say more good things, but I couldn't ever come back here. Please check your stock rotation of meat and sea food, and check that it's being stored / cooked correctly.

All aspects were excellent, just as the high ratings suggest. While the outdoor dining in the garden seemed delightful, we chose to dine indoors. The young male waiter was kind and exceptionally polite. He provided detailed explanations of the menu and took care of every detail, for which we are grateful. I ordered appetizers, soup, and a main course. The portions were larger than I had imagined, and I ended up eating too much. There were many other enticing items on the menu, so I look forward to visiting again.

Lovely experience and best food!! We arrived to amazing African drums being played and even got to join in! Beautiful courtyard outside and the best service! Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

What a delight! Amazing authentic food and such friendly service. Really made us feel special. We were lucky to also stumble in at the same time as a private function doing an interactive African drum performance and the staff were nice enough to let us get involved! Would come back again and again!

Lovely food and great service at the Greek fisherman. Fancied something different to steak and the fish was fantastic here. Catered for allergies very well. Our waiter Luke talked us through the gluten free options in great detail and generally very helpful. Nice relaxed vibe in the restaurant. Would recommend.

We had mid-week lunch here with friends. Very nice atmosphere, sitting outside in the courtyard under umbrellas. The food was great but the service was very very slow. Our wine glasses were empty and it was impossible to get hold of another bottle ! The food took ages too but when it came it was good. Try the fried calamari, the sole and the lambshank. Yum !

Celebrated our end of year function there. 5 star service and the most sumptuous feast ever. Fantastic experience.

What an amazing venue! We ate there on Saturday afternoon 30 April 2022! It is rare to find such an exceptional Greek Restaurant with such delicious food, great service and the Mediterranean atmosphere. I had the lamb chops, my husband the lamb shank, and the kids ate the Giros ... of which they had seconds! Super delicious Greek Food! You cant go wrong with the Greek Fisherman ... 5 Star Food, 5 Star Service, 5 Star Atmosphere - We will definitely be back !
