The place where you can get real African food the place is very nice the service is the best . You can get the satisfaction you want

Amazing food. I had the beef stew with pap (a sort of steamed bread made from maize). It was R70 and a huge portion. I could probably go take a nap after this. It's upstairs on the corner of Long St and Church St. For some reason it isn't showing up easily on Google Maps but I highly recommend it. You may likely be the only white person in there but just trust me. The staff is friendly and the food/price combo can't be beat.

After a walking tour of the city in Cape Town we found ourselves at this hidden gem which serves African dishes from Zimbabwe and Nigeria. The food was very good and we had an opportunity to taste various types of dishes. The restaurant was comfortable, clean, neat and spacious. We'll definitely be returning again.

Last day in cape town and we stumbled across this hidden gem. Wish we would have found it sooner because it was some of the best tasting West African food I've had anywhere. We tried the catfish pepper soup, vegetable soup, egusi soup and swallow, white rice and red stew with chicken. The side spinach dish was also incredibly delicious. A big thanks to Zinhu for his help while we chose dishes and patience while serving us. We'll definitely be coming back next time in town.

The Afro Deli was a great find. The food was local South African and delicious. I had the Braai with beans, greens and pap. I sampled the okra too. Service was prompt, friendly and efficient. The two dining areas are no frills but clean. Enjoy.

I ordered my absolute favourite meal, tripe with pap. The pap was great, the texture of the tripe was amazing. It made me sad though because there was sand in about 70% of the pieces. They just need to be weary of that. Otherwise everything else was good.
