Celebrated my dad's 75th bday here. It was majestical!! Staff on the ball, food excellent and restaurant very hygienic and all PPE in place! Thank u Sam and all your staff!!!!!

One of the worst and most embarrassing restaurant experiences of my life. I asked for the bill, added an overly generous tip, put my card down only to be told they have no card facilities! During the Covid pandemic? I had to EFT a payment! This is something you tell customers in advance! On top of all that it is poor value, I would have enjoyed a burger more at a quarter of the price. Never again.

Sloppy Sam’s new spot is beautiful, rustic and romantic with thoughtfully prepared small plates - perfect for date nights or with a group of friends. The hummus, lamb rolls and Persian Zeytoon Parvadeh were my absolute fave but it was hard to choose as everything was packed with flavour and so well prepared. I will definitely be back to try everything else on the menu!

Very good quality. It's very pleasant to find a place in Cape Town where they put so much effort in the food. The smell, the flavors.. You know you are eating good quality food from the ingredients to the way of cooking. Leave space for desert!

Very disappointing visit to this restaurant. The food served to us was cold and had to be sent back to be re heated. Although there was an initial apology from our server for this poor service there was no attempt to discount or recompense us for the dissatisfaction that we had. The food is advertised as Greek however there was nothing that we received which would have given any customer that impression. Portions were small and I came away from the restaurant feeling totally unsatisfied. A very poor experience for us both.

Hooman is a great guy and a top host whose food has been legendary for decades. A visit to Sloppy Sam should be a compulsory bucket list visit

THE best lamb! Small plates, so you can try a number of dishes. Cosy atmosphere, attentive staff, engaging host. Did I mention the lamb? Loved it, will be back

Lovely atmosphere. Love that Hooman takes the time to mingle with customers and remembers previous customers. Seldom see a restuarant owner in charge of the kitchen and remembers previous customers preference. Excellent food and service. Pity I'm leaving Cape Town so soon. Will definitely be back soon.
