Tadka curries hits all the right taste buds. The Naan is so moreish. I don't remember all the dishes but the lamb is of high quality. We ordered a variety of dishes and everything tasted so delicious. Service was efficient and friendly. On the night we went there was load shedding - good timing as we just finished our meal.

We visited Tadka in Rondebosch today as part of our Valentine’s weekend plans. The 2 course Hyperli voucher was a great way for us to try out a new restaurant without breaking the bank. All I can say is WOW! The service was amazing, the samoosas were so yummy, our mains exceeded all expectations and we were even treated to a complimentary ice cream dessert 🥰 This is definitely a hidden gem in Cape Town and we have a new date night restaurant now 💃

The food was amazing. My friends and I all had the samosas, chili bites, and prawn breyani, and it was delicious, and one serving is more than enough for 2 people. It's worth a visit. I will definitely go back and try their other dishes.

One of must go places for Indian food in Cape Town. The taste of food here is much authentic and the lively environment with Indian songs adds cherry on the cake. We ordered Gol Gappas “Pani Puri” here and the overall taste here is fantastic. This place is better in terms of pricing as well if compare it with all other restaurants serving Indian food there.

Really good and fast service. Staff was friendly. Dishes served as either medium, mild, hot or extra hot. Hot is really good if you like chilli food. Street parking

Great, authentic North Indian restaurant with a huge menu. Recommendations were provided by the owner when asked. Food was excellent and all of our party ended up sharing dishes with each other. The kulfi ice-cream was divine (homemade and not that boxed stuff you often get)

I'm not one to complain easily, but it felt like an episode of Ramsy's Kitchen Nightmares. It was unreal. A lot of items not available on the menu. A very long wait for food that arrived undercooked (fish tasted like lamb & raw potato paratha) or overcooked (dry chicken, lamb that resembled dogfood, chewy paneer) and had zero flavour. Everything tasted strange. The waiter didn't seem to understand simple instructions. After confirming our order with the waiter more than twice he STILL brought the wrong food. The manager also didn't seem to understand our complaint and requests. We paid R600 for everything because we didn't want to make a scene but it so wasn't worth it. I don't know what happened because most of the reviews seem good, but I definitely won't be going back.

UPDATE: So after odering meals worth R360, waiting ages due to uber eats driver completing other deliveries and the food arriving stone cold (during loadshedding) we sent the food back. all of it and said we'd prefer a refund. This should not be our problem but it has become that. We called Tadka and the guy behind the counter was so rude and unhelpful and said we must go to uber eats. So we immediately launched a complaint on the order. So no food and R360 down. Now a week later and uber has refunded only R70. Tadka this is unaccpetable you do business with these people and are not willing to even try. So your rude staff probably ate our food or the driver and basically we just got scammed R300!!!!

Shockingly small portions of 4 (different) meals delivered to us via Uber for the cost of a pricey meal at a sit down restaurant. The food was barely average ito taste. We called the restaurant to see if this is normal, they weren’t interested in any discussions, I won’t bother ordering from here again.

I love a good curry and truly loved my first taste of Tadka's. The lamb curry I had was so flavourful and spicy just how I like it. The atmosphere is not too overwhelming but a nice Indian feel to it with the music and artwork. The manager was so kind, friendly and attentive and wanting me to enjoy myself, which was a given already because of the great food. Will be coming back to try out the rest of the menu!

After buying on Uber we received what would amount to a rip off. 100g of lamb roganjosh equating to R1 690 per kg. 75g portion of rice 6 button mushrooms at R85 Never again will I waste My money at this restaurant. When we called to complain we were rudely told that these are the standard portion and they were no interested in any discussion. Stay away
