This is one of the best things you could do as a tourists (local or international) in Cape Town. The booking office staff and drivers are always delightful and helpful. The tour on the bus is interesting with the audio commentary you can plug into on the bus filled with information and interesting facts as you make your way around the city. Your are given free earphones or should I say its included in the price of the ticket which is reasonable. We did the red and blues lines which is fantastic. I would suggest the you start your strip as early as possible to enjoy many on the hop-off hop-on destinations. Definitely worth every penny, enjoy!

Brahm is an excellent and hilarious tour guide "They don't care how much you know until they know how much you care" tour guide ethos, and he has it in abundance, caring for the welfare of his bus passengers along with assistant Leanne. The Tour to Cape of Good Hope, with lunch stop at the Penguin colony near Boulders Beach, this tour had everything. A bit of hiking, socializing with other tourists, spotting animals like lynx, ostrich, baboons, and stembok. Would highly recommend

Well-maintained and friendly staff. The website has a number of online specials so check it out before you visit. The discounts don't seem to apply when you purchase directly from the ticket office. The audio commentary is very informative and an excellent choice for both locals and tourists. We have done all the routes except the wine tour but today we did the seal cruise which is a 30 minute trip around the harbour.

Took my daughter who is visiting from the USA on this tour and they loved it. We had a great day and spent 7 hours at different venues, the hop on hop off idea is fantastic. One word of advice...book directly with the City Sightseeing website, it is much cheaper and has various options including pensioner discounts. I booked on a site called Viator, who guarantee lowest prices and ended up paying R165 more...still waiting for feedback from them.

What a great experience to watch the sun setting. It's a bit chilly up the mountains so be sure to bring a blanket or jacket for the weather. Having picnic and watching the paragliding was supper nice. The traffic was supper hectic when it was time to go home, but it's understandable cause it was the festive season and it's something the bus driver can't control. Looking forward to taking my mom here as I went with my husband and daughter.

Not to be missed. Tons to see with such a vast history. Booked a 5 day experience and it was well worth it. Wine tastings, great food, local culture, and informative listening on the bus. All the staff are friendly and willing to help Will be recommending it to all!

Staff quite friendly and guided us as to best package to choose from. A really affordable way to tour the city and most it's highlights. Definitely recommend this and it's cheaper for South Africans and people with residency in SA so l would recommend going to the actual office to purchase the tickets. Only con is that instore you can only purchase tickets on the day you want to start touring and not beforehand. Heads up, for the penguin tour which is on the blue route you have to book a day in advance for this.

We decided to take the blue bus and also got onto the red bus to experience the wine roots. We got to see a lot of beautiful places in Cape Town and would recommend to anybody who wants to experience Cape Town to the fullest. They have an amazing package where you pay for the trip and also get three activities for free of your choice.

Did the harbour cruise. Very nice and interesting information. Perfect tour if you afraid of rough sea, etc. Very calm and relaxing. The canal cruise is also very nice and to see where the rich live. Beautiful apartment along canals

A lovely way to explore the city of Cape Town is through city sightseeing. This is what you’ll mostly find amusing as a tourist. Be sure to be told about the historical buildings of the city and to have a beautiful view of the city. The view of table mountain, the sea and the city at large is just wonderful to view.

The best experience to get to know the history of Cape Town as well as its attractions. You can jump off at any stop and explore the area then continue the tour with the next buses - such an adventure! You also get to enjoy some stunning views of the Cape Town beaches, city and the Table Mountain.

One of the best city sightseeing buses I’ve ever frequented around the world! It offers way more routes to really get a full Cape Town experience and I loved that! We got the 2 day premium ticket which allowed us to do the red route on day one and canal cruise and the blue/green route on day two and sunset bus tour! We also got the all day cape point / penguin tour bus which was fabulous! I thoroughly enjoyed these buses and the staff were all so friendly and helpful, and would highly recommend for anyone who needs an efficient way of seeing major sights in capetown without having to drive to each place on your own! Fantastic!

Yes this is the way to explore Cape Town and surrounding. The only best way to get City Sightseeing Bus and then ready to explore the city. You get two option Red Line or Blue Line, the Red Line for inner city tour of Cape Town while Blue Line is Outer City Tour with many tourist attractions places to drop off and pick up next bus but make sure you get info on exact time able of bus. Highly recommended to visitors from all over the world, Africa and within South Africa. Go Explore More! 😉

Easy way to get around the city and great information on each area. Sit up top for a clear view and a big window to keep the chilly air off you but allow a great view. To see more, follow us on tiktok under Roaming.Rolling

Honestly one of the greatest ways to explore the city. From sunset bus rides to winelands tours. Go explore have fun without the worries of traffic and parking. I love the fact that you can hop on and off all day long and knowing there’s busses all day long going to all the major attractions in an round the city. Always great especially with friends.

Was an experience and a half minus the wind...... but there is option to sit bottom the hop off and on the bus. But top is best don't forget your cap and jacket for wind and cold breeze.

We went for the Cape of Good Hope and Boulders Beach tour with City Sightseeing and it was very well run. Our guide Bjorn was amazing - really enthusiastic and humorous guy who made it a very enjoyable and memorable day. It wouldn't have been as good with other guides, one of the best tour guides we've toured with! The instructions were very clear as well and we felt that we had sufficient time to fully explore each stop. It was really worth the money spent!

We booked our wine tour online and were pleasantly surprised at how good this turned out. Real value for money. Well done on an informative well planned wine tour. Plus the Canel boat tour was delightful.

We did the canal and harbor boat combo. Big discounts online.. We only paid R73 per person. Really enjoyed the tours. It took about 20-30 minutes each.

  • 5/5 Siphosetu M. 3 years ago on Google
Good service and enjoyable rides around city. I suggest the 3 day pass to have enough time for all the places. There is so much to do.

  • 4/5 Shuaib N. 2 years ago on Google
An amazing experience. The trip was well conducted allowing tourists to get a wonderful view of the harbor and all its natural wildlife. Especially great for kids to have a close enough viewing experience of the seals.Would have loved the trip to be a bit longer though. 20-30mins only.

  • 5/5 Pravesh V. 2 years ago on Google
I'm a Capetonian and I thought I should try and be a tourist in my own city for once and was not disappointed. Even though I had been to almost all the stops I really didn't understand alot of the background of the area and some of the folk stories. It was a very informative ride and I suggest you get there early so you can make a few stops. We loved the Hout Bay and Wine farms that we stopped at but felt that we didn't do the camps bay and V&A areas enough justice. We definitely going to stop and try some of the other walking tours. Its great not having to look for parking and the wait between busses is so short especially since they have a live bus tracker so you never really need to wait anymore

Popular way to see the magical place that is Cape Town, whether you are a local or a visitor to this incredible city. Hop on/off a red tour bus, choose your route, enjoy the amazing views and informative tours. Options to suit every taste. Great for groups or even going solo! I'd recommend you start early so you can hop off and on at various stops through the day. Take a sun hat and sunscreen, and a jacket....the weather can vary from one hour to the next.

Went on the Cape Point and Boulder's Beach Penguins Full Day Tour with my sister a few weeks ago and had a great time! We stopped at Boulders Beach to see the penguins and then went to Cape Point/Cape of Good Hope where we were given the option to go on a short hike and also go up a funicular to the light house. The sights driving around the coast were amazing. Our tour bus guide Charles and his crew were great! Charles gave us really cool information during the ride, played trivia games with us, and had some pretty funny jokes lol. He made sure everyone had a good time. The hike at Cape Point was fun and again, Charles made sure everyone was ok. The crew also made sure everyone got a picture at the Cape of Good Hope sign. The only thing I wish was different was that there was more time at each stop. We felt a bit rushed at the stops and wish we had more time to take things in. There wasn’t much time to eat for example and get to see everything we wanted so I would recommend to bring a lunch with you so you don’t waste valuable time waiting for food. Otherwise it was a great crew and we had a great time! I’d also recommend you bring some Rand for a tip for the crew as we forgot to and were upset we couldn’t tip them for their awesome service which was well deserved. Thanks King Charles, Aquila, and crew!

Loved it! Great insight to understanding the entire city. Did the two day ticket and enjoyed both the Red line and Blue bus tours. DAY 1 Really enjoyed Kirstenbosch beautiful gardens and Groot Constantia. Hout Bay was really windy but enjoyed some great Calamari from the sails restaurant downstairs. Day 2- Bo-Kaap guided tour was beautifully colorful

We went on the canal cruise with my two children, it was great I cant believe we hadn't done it before. The kids got life jackets eventhoughit is a slow cruise. You can hop off and on at any point along the route. It's not very long. The information supplied was very informative and the kids had their own channel that they listened to on the journey keeping them entertained.

A must for any person even Cape Town locals. We took the stunning route past Kirstenbosch to Groot Constantia. From there to Houtbay, Campsbay and back to Waterfront (Blue route). The following day we did the Red Route up to Table Mountain which also included a harbour boat trip. Absolute value for money. All Covid-19 protocols was followed by the company.

Awesome experience! Loved it from the first hop on and last hop off. Staff are very 'polite and jolly, they take you to all gems of Cape Town. Do both tours Red and Blue, it is absolutely worth it.

  • 5/5 Travis D. 3 years ago on Google
Tour was great, hop on, hop off, audio guide was insightful and it's in English. You'll see where places like table mountain and camps bay are located although they do offer different routes so you'll have to choose what you want to see. It was the perfect way to get an idea of where certain locations are so that I could come back again and visit them properly. If you're doing this on a hot day and you're sitting on the top of the bus by the open seating, please put on sunblock and wear a cap because the African sun is brutal!

  • 5/5 Emmylou A. 3 years ago on Google
We had the most fabulous day yesterday on the Red bus Blue line. The cruise was really fun and saw lots of seals. The trip all the way to Constantia was beautiful. Pick ups and drop offs were quick and efficient. But I would like to say the most impressive part of our day was the crew. All the staff... bus drivers, lady at information in V and A and the guys on the Harbour cruise where so friendly and helpful and kind. I was really overwhelmed by how well we were treated. Highly recommend this to locals and international guests.
