Full
review:
I've
seen
a
few
Instagram
posts
of
Damascus
and
decided
to
try
out
this
establishment.
The
restaurant
is
on
a
main
road,
so
parking
spots
are
a
bit
hard
to
find.
When
booking
to
eat,
you
can
call
or
whatsapp
for
a
specific
time
slot.
The
times
given
to
us
were:
12:40
-
15:15
15:30
-
18:00
18:50
-
21:15
21:30
-
23:45
Times
might
change
so
please
call
and
ask
for
availability
beforehand.
My
partner
and
I
ordered
the
Damascus
ice
tea,
Peach
and
Blueberry+mint,
which
were
lovely
and
very
refreshing,
however,
the
Blueberry
and
mint
tea
is
very
sweet,
so
if
you
don't
expect
your
ice
tea
to
be
very
sweet,
this
isn't
for
you.
We
ordered
the
humus
with
lamb
which
was
tasty.
And
the
Grilled
mixed
platter,
I
HIGHLY
RECOMMEND
this
dish
for
people
that
are
visiting
this
restaurant
for
the
first
time,
it
has
so
many
flavors
and
a
bit
of
everything
(in
terms
of
grilled
meat),
the
saffron
rice
was
the
best
I've
ever
had.
The
dish
is
also
served
on
a
silver
dish
with
coals
inside
to
keep
the
food
warm.
It
was
quite
the
experience.
The
Syrian
coffee
is
a
must
try
for
coffee
lovers.
You
can
pour
the
coffee
into
something
like
an
expresso
cup
and
it
is
very,
very
strong.
It
has
a
pleasant
cardamom
flavor,
and
is
served
with
a
complimentary
Turkish
delight
(ours
was
mint
flavor).
You
can
buy
the
coffee
itself
at
the
restaurant
to
make
at
home,
for
a
200g
bag
it
is
R95.
Service
was
not
great,
there
were
only
3
waiters
working
the
front
area
where
we
were
and
we
had
to
wait
and
flag
down
different
waiters
to
help
us
with
ordering.
However,
Madj
the
manager
checked
up
on
us
and
was
very
sweet
and
pleasant.
And
lastly,
a
10%
mandatory
tip
is
included
in
your
bill,
that
is
just
something
to
keep
in
mind
when
you're
attending
this
establishment
for
the
first
time,
as
not
all
restaurants
work
this
way.
Overall,
a
great
first
experience
to
great
Syrian
food,
will
definitely
be
coming
back
again.
