I’m sorry to say that this was not a 5* experience. I don’t like writing negative reviews and emailed the spa directly with this feedback, but have not even received an Our therapists and treatments were great, however the facilities were quite outdated and not clean. When I arrived in the female relaxation and changing area around 2pm, there were towels everywhere, dirty glasses, gowns laying on the floor. it was evident that this area is not checked for cleanliness regularly. My husband said he was alone in the male area and it was clean. The treatment room itself also had finger prints on the bathroom’s frosted doors, ants in the corner of the toilet and the shower was quite old/outdated (metallic coming off). Also there is a jacuzzi but there doesn’t seem to be an occasion to use it as the therapists wait outside for you to finish changing so I guess that only applies to certain packages. I am a regular at life day spa in century city, which charges half or a third of the price and has cleaner and less outdated facilities. I have to say that the therapists were good, professional and friendly, but the facilities are really not up to a 5* spa experience standard. I guess if you just want to go for a treatment it’s fine, but I can’t see how they justify spending huge amounts for half day packages with facilities like this, seems like a tourist trap to me. If you are expecting a day spa experience you’ll definitely be disappointed.

From pre-arrival communications, was great and fast turn around time. The arrival was amazing getting valet service is definitely a excellent touch to high quality.to every staff member knowing your name. From arrival atmosphere to welcome drinks, and surprise platters, and drinks in the room.Having bags taken to the room, and staff handling everything.Being relieved from responsibility from the go is amazing. Then personally taken to your room and showed all the amenities and showed around the resort. To completely forgetting you are in CBD without forgetting / loosing touch of the beautiful views. To getting a complimentary phone, they encourage you to use (unlimited data, and local calls, as well as USA)To having services over the phone know your name and remember your preferences,To have the staff assist with your every needs. The breakfast is most definitely one of the greatest you can get. Best Hotel accommodation / experience is South Africa Dont look at the price and judge, JUST DO IT.Book and you will never regret it i assure you.Thank you to the staff of The one and only Cape Town, for the beautiful experience, amazing quality, and going above and beyond for all requests.

I've been to a few spas, and this has to be one of my favorites. The spa is close to the V&A, and the venue and facilities are absolutely stunning! A dry sauna, a mineral pool, and an outside pool are among the amenities available in the women's changing rooms. The changing room is also fully equipped with grooming tools (hair dryers, hair straighteners, brushes, razors, and so on). The robes and slippers we were given were of outstanding quality and thickness. We were provided with healthy snacks and refreshments since we arrived early. We had scheduled a one-hour couple's deep tissue massage, and it was so relaxing that I fell asleep on the massage table! I scheduled this massage for my partner's birthday, and the spa made it extra special with a delicious chocolate cupcake and non-alcoholic champagne. Overall, I loved the whole experience and can't wait to return!

We visited this spa looking for a relaxing day of pampering. The staff where very attentive and quickly greeted us. And facilities seem great. The lower score is due to the facilities separate men and women. I believe this may be an American trend (since many US spas do the same). However, when travelling with your partner (as many of us do) it’s disappointing to be forced to separate in the spa and to be left sat on your own for hours. It seems quite old-fashioned nowadays. If you are travelling on your own I highly recommend.

Failed to reply to numerous requests for bookings. No courtesy of a reply. Had to phone and obtain the email of the manager from the hotel in desperation for a reply. She casually threw the ball back to me stating that the spa did reply to my wife ( a different email and no one knowing that we are related. Even different dates requested!) Fact is, they do not reply to emails. Extremely arrogant approach for an institution of this calibre. Useless client service. Mount Nelson was keen and very helpful.

It’s not our first time there, but this time, Massage did not do it for us. Therapist asked for areas to focus on. Session had no effect. Though therapist was friendly and professional, the treatment itself was useless given the amount of money paid for. Facilities are fantastic! Rest room music too loud. Healthy Breakfast spread, yogurt was delicious, but dry fruits too dry and not tasty. Teas were not to everyone’s palette. Guys avoided this “too healthy” spread. Maybe coffee and normal servings and not too extremely strict on the other side of the scale. Cold sparkling water was awesome! All in all, in general great relaxing atmosphere. Only wish that massage was more effective ( in this regard, it was no value for money paid).

I make a point of visiting each time that I'm in Cape Town for work or leisure. Without a doubt, the best spa that I've ever been to. The separate female and male facilities are much appreciated. The therapists are all amazing, not only in their treatments, but their manner as well. The only recommendation I have would be to cater some gluten free cookies and coffee in the relaxation lounge.

I went to this spa with a group, on vacation from the US. It was a luxurious experience from start to finish. My massage with Kamo was PHENOMENAL. She was kind, warm, and oh so talented! The amenities we had access to were also incredibly lovely. Some folks took peaceful naps post-service. I thoroughly enjoyed the revitalization pool. I will 100% be back on my next vacation to Cape Town!

Beautiful place, fantastic staff, great facilities. But maintenance on facilities are not up to par, several things broken or not working properly. We don't mind paying but then the experience needs to match the price. Maintenance, guys. Don't become eskom.

Unfortunately my experience at this spa is disappointing. While the facilities and services were satisfactory, I am disappointed to find out that the swimming pool is not accessible to guests. As someone who considers the pool to be a must-have facility at a spa, this was a major letdown. It would have been great if the option to purchase pool access was possible as I am also noting the pool to be empty
