The service is extremely rude and people are classed and profiled upon entry and assumptions made on their value to contribute certain value vs others you are seated in order of social class. Is this injustice still allowed and okay in 2022?

The service was terrible! When we arrived the hostess said all tables are reserved so we went to the bar. We waited over an hour to place our order. One bartender refused to assist us and told us it's not his section of the bar. The ribs were delicious.

The hospitality this place have is exceptional the vibe is on par I enjoyed being here although the place is small and cosy but we had fun especially on Saturday with Murdah on decks

This place was pretty awesome. The DJs were incredible & the overall energy was good. I loved the outside area which was covered & installed with wall heaters which made all the difference. I also enjoyed the bathrooms cause they were not unisex. The service, however, was underwhelming. We waited for long periods to place our orders & at some point more friends joined us & when we asked for drinks menus again that took long too - which it shouldn't. Either than that, I can't fault it much. Their chicken wings & chicken strips were good, and their side potatoes were so good we ordered more potatoes again 🤣 Their g&t drinks are also lovely, try the "panty dropper" if you like g&t - don't worry, it's not potent at all despite its name.

I wish I could give this place a better rating because the atmosphere was fantastic and luckily made up for the long wait to be helped, and to get our drinks. The food was average. Hubby had the oxtail and enjoyed it thoroughly, I had the Lemon Chicken Breast in Quinoa which I felt could have had more flavour.

Souk, in long... Music is great!! Not too spacious but accommodative, felt like their cocktails were a bit pricey (R100) even though they lacked much alcohol. Otherwise I have come back more than twice, so... That says a lot 👐🏾. It's accessible from the stairs, you will find bouncers there and they will guide you in, it has an overlooking view of longstreet , so you sip as you see action down there.. Hookah is available as well (R300 I think). Also space for when you come in groups is available! Bathrooms are clean as well!

Nice location and nice music in the evening. But for my opinion it's a very expensive place to be. Cocktails are about 95R (6€) and the quality is good but more mainstream than having a wow-effect. Could be more alcohol inside. Shisha is way too expensive for 300R (18€) but tastes good as well. Friendly stuff.

Not here for the seating arrangements. You need to spend big money to sit at basic more comfortable areas of the club. Cocktail are very pricy very weak, and watered down. Staff pays better attention to big spender.

I am appalled at the service at Souk by Tags. She waited for us to order drinks etc. and told us to leave because our table was not R5k. Absolutely disgusted. I will never visit this place again.

Had the best time last time I was here but today we were dismissed by the waitress who told us we couldn’t order order food because the kitchen was closed yet it wasn’t. Bad service all in all. Nonchalant attitude is not a good look. Can’t say I’ll be back soon.

Bad service at SOUK today. My friend ordered a cocktail and it had glass shards in it and the scrawny bar man didn’t want to replace the drink. Pay careful attention to what you consume at this place 👎

A great lounge place. I went on a Saturday night and they played some old school rnb jams. The vibe was great and the food was amazing, best fries I've ever had. Great cocktail selection.

We had such a good time at Souk. I will tell you all the good and then give you the reason for the low rating. The waitresses were very attentive and tried their best to make sure we had every and anything we needed. The food was very good. And the drinks kept coming. At the end of the night I felt like we were targeted as Americans because my friend who was with me was pick pocketed for her Iphone. They ended up putting everyone out the club because it was closing time without any help to find her phone. Americans please be careful.

I loved my time there. The music is great, the service is great and the vibe is amazing. I will admit they are very classist when it comes to entrance. I have had issues getting in before when I was just with my girl friends but as soon as I was with my guy friends who are well accomplished, there were no issues letting us in despite it being full. They basically only want people who are going to be spending large amounts of money and if you don’t look the part then they aren’t as welcoming.

What a beautiful setting , loved the entrance. Boutique like if you will . There are stairs so please take that into account , food was presented beautifully, alcoholic beverages are fairly priced . Most of all the service was absolutely on point. It was Extremely busy, yet not one of us had to go in search of a assistance .Great music, come early and you will find parking.Smoking section outside. Awsome seating options.From the cleaning staff all the to management the experience was wonderful 🙌10/10 if you get a chance please visit this establishment. I am surly going again soon.

It's a beautiful place. Great atmosphere, friendly staff. But they charge a tip for every purchase you make at the bar. When you order a shot it's always a double, they only have 4 different kinds of ciders. We didn't eat anything

Souk will always be one of my favourite lounges in the whole of Cape town, firstly great vibes, second some of the most underrated soul foul DJs and deep house DJs play there, third beautiful ladies and a mature crowd A little Pricey but doable!

It came in highly recommended by a friend but we didn't have a good time. It was difficult to get the waiting stuff to attend to us. The cocktails came in a broken glass and we had to send it back. Even getting the bill, we had to chase after our waitress even though the place wasn't even packed.

Staff are very dismissive, disrespectful, and will plain ignore you at the bar. PLAIN RUDE. They make errors and do not fix it or apologise. They are tipping themselves with every order. You don’t even get the option to decide based on service. They will argue with you knowing good well that they made a mistake. STAY AWAY. I cannot recommend.

Nice ambiance, service was a bit slow. It should not take 30 minutes to pay the bill. You feel like when there is 10% compulsary service charge the waiters can be lacking the motivation...

The place e is beautiful, though it can do with some touch ups,coz their tables are flimsy, we changed 3 times thinking we could get a stable table. The waitresses are not organized unless that's how they operate, coz we got served by 4 different people, and also l didn't understand why we had to pay for extra sauce yet on their tables was just black pepper and salt 😏🤔, so going there again ,l will just for the dj he played good music.

Booked a table there for November 26 2022 and they called me to tell me they are going to give the table to other people. And yes, I was not late or anything. Not sure if the other people bribed their way to the table, or it’s nepotism, or something. But I’m really disappointed that they would do something like that. I had friends from Johannesburg coming to celebrate a graduation. I will not be supporting an establishment that would do that.

I'm an a regular patron here at souk but today's service was below par. I order a hookah pipe and nothing for more than 2 hours. I asked around still nothing. Tell me what's the right thing to do, do I tell speak to the manager? It's a pitty, I felt that souk was the best place to bring people to feel the cape Town spirit. I best be looking for a new place!

Overall a really vibrant scene, really to go with a small group of people. Possibly just a bit too dark with regards lighting on the inside, although we had a table outside. Enjoyed the efficiency of the bottle service.

The bouncer is very racist. We wanted to go inside and the bouncer told us we can't go inside wearing casual, a minute later while we waited for uber we witnessed 2 guys wearing casual going inside. This happened today.

One of the worst experiences ever had last night. There was one slim tall guy who abused me constantly. He claimed he is an owner or whatever. I think he was drunk or either he is a bad person. I know his face very well. He was in front in the bar side by the entrance. I just preferred to leave peacefully instead of confronting. There was a nice lady who tried to stop him
