๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ Really great experience. Their June special was great. You can choose 2 dishes and there is quite a good variety. Their squid ink pasta is spot on. Everything is quite fresh and cooked really well. Staff is very friendly and sitting outside in a warm sunny day is perfect. People often mention service, good, great, fresh, fish, restaurant, seafood, oysters, delicious, experience,

We didnโ€™t book a table but were able to be seated outside. Service was great! The manager Noble was a gem. The oysters were fresh and the drinks were yummy and half price ๐Ÿ˜‰ Now for the foodโ€ฆ I had the pasta and it was divine, my love had the fish and chips and we had the prawn tacos. It was all really good!

Came for lunch, had the 2-course special with the hake ceviche and cape Malay curry. All was delicious and the seafood was fresh. Enjoyed my experience overall, although it felt like thr curry was very one-note. Perhaps serve the rice seperately?

Dined in and had a really wonderful experience. Our waiter Zanele was lovely and gave us a fast and friendly experience. We had oysters which were really fresh and delicious, the mains were tasty too, the best tartar sauce ever! The drinks menu is mainly focused on bubbly but they do have beer and spirits as options. We wanted cocktails which werenโ€™t on the menu but the barman prepped them for us. I really appreciated that! They were also priced decently. The general ambience of the space is well lit, not noisy and thereโ€™s a sitting area outside. It seemed most people preferred outside on that warm night.

Very good wine menu. And a daily menu for the food. Always fresh from the harbor. Clean and bright. With indoor or outside seating. Very pleasant staff. Loved it will definitely be back.

I love this place with a PASSION! They have an oyster special every day from 5-6pm and (Sunday is all day - trade secret). The dishes are Amazing! The wine too. The mussels are so good (in wine) I've only been disappointed once with an overcooked salmon but I didn't want to be a bother... My fault. Over all, 99% perfection. One first Thursdays, there's usually events just next to the restaurant. Very nice vibe. LOVE IT!

Second time here and still my favorite restaurant in South Africa. Seafood heaven AND fantastic serviceโ€ฆ the second part really cannot be understated. As a solo traveler, the staff made me feel at home. Very uncommon in SA. If there were more than five stars available I would give it. It is a little pricey, but not too badโ€ฆ given the quality of food and serviceโ€ฆ a meal worth having. While all the food was deliciousโ€ฆ the fish cakes with smoked salmon was to die for. A must have when coming hereโ€ฆ

This place is good the oysters were fresh and very tasty nit really an oyster person and for a person who's had them for the first time, i was impressed. service could be a bit faster though, thanks to our runner Tobeka who actually acted like our waiter, as our waiter was actually busy (chatting to whom i think is the manager), service can be better though, besides that everything was beautiful.

Amazing food!Great wine selection!! Friendly staff!!! Itโ€™s the very first restaurant I visit when Iโ€™m in town. Iโ€™ve talked about this restaurant so often, I think my friends are tired of hearing about it.

Great and unassuming restaurant. Quaint exterior and surprisingly elegant and tasteful interior (pun intended). The team was friendly and efficient with their service, the atmosphere was perfect for the decor and the food was wonderful. On my list for a follow-up visit.

The place is cool and has a great vibe. The menu is good, but disproportionately limited in comparison to the lenghty wine list and drinks menu. Our waiter was very knowledgeable, but not quite eager. The food was quite delicious and beautifully presented. We did have a small issue with our cutlery; the tables were laid with fish knives, which makes sense, as it is a seafood restaurant, but these knives were incapable of cutting some of the vegetables served with our food. A little awkward.

Best meal in my S. Africa trip. Well designed dishes with thoughtful flavor pairings! Even the common Hake & chips was so well cooked and flaky! Eggplant chips and octopus atchar were special and delish! ๐Ÿ‘keep it up!

One of the best meals I've had in Cape Town for a while! Oysters were incredible, the yellow tail was perfectly cooked. The maรฎtre d' was super helpful and I'd recommend you use their knowledge and ask them to choose a couple of wines for you.

Sea breeze is one of the best fresh seafood spots in town. The yearly or seasonaly refreshed menu and dishes are really considered. Flavors, plating and portions are perfect making it really worth every cent. We had oysters, hake and chips, tempura prawns, fish tacos, seafood curry, the yellow tail and their brut bubbly. All were perfectly cooked and we'll seasoned. If I could I would make the rating 4.5. The only reason it's not a 5 star was the overly loud club music from the restaurant next to it. Made it impossible to have any conversation.

Back in business after the Covid lockdown, this little restaurant is tucked away in Bree Street, a stoneโ€™s throw away from the Bo-Kaap. I have become addicted to the delicious food that emanates from this kitchen. From a ladies lunch in their private room to a birthday dinner celebration in the evening, absolutely superb. They offer Happy Hour specials on fresh Saldanha Bay and Knysna Oysters served with MCC so pop down and indulge. We were fortunate to have the very talented Chef and owner, Alex Graham in the kitchen. On offer were some mouth watering dishes from roast Kingklip Fillet on Butternut and Sage puree, served with Truffled mushrooms, Cape Malay Seafood curry and homemade Roti, King prawns, Yellowfin Tuna, to a pot of fresh steamed mussels. My lunch time favourite, a reasonably priced, delicious bowl of grilled Prawns served with Squid ink Tagliatelle, roasted tomatoes and chilli topped with fresh Rockett. I cannot wait for the next visit.

We were lucky to get the last walk-in table for a Sunday! Chilli-soy flavoured oyster is a must try as a starter if you are looking for something different. We had surf& turf and squid ink pasta, both of which were amazing. And I recommend the Apple crumble cheesecake! (P.S for someone longing for some spicy food abroad, their chilli paste is very good!)

Great atmosphere! Super fresh fish and shellfish! Terrific service! Nice preparations with great vegetables! Plus happy hour with half price drinks and oysters. So why not 5 stars? My ONLY complaint is that your fish -- whether filet or whole -- is cooked on a flat top grill that's simply not hot enough. Skin isn't properly seared. Tuna steaks aren't properly seared. Nothing is overcooked (which is a great thing), but everything is cooked gently and pale so there's no maillard reaction. I still recommend the place.

In a city of great restaurants, this one stood out. I think it was the excellent service with much humour and good vibes from Tracy and Joseph, or perhaps the fabulous wine served with great gusto and wit from Blessings. But letโ€˜s not forget the food THE FOOD!!!!! Squid ink tagliatelle better than anything Iโ€˜ve had in Italy. Well better than anything anywhere actually. In a fortnight of food, wine and excellent hospitality, this place was our stand out favourite. Thanks to all of you from your Scottish friends. I hope weโ€˜ll be back.

It was a busy Saturday night when we visited Sea Breeze Fish and Shell and right off the bat, you can see that this a place that attracts a trendy crowd. People were outside having a good time and the vibe was pretty cool. Inside, the staff were very friendly, guiding us to a booked table though we were slightly early and offering us the drinks menu. The setting is cosy but not intimate and service was prompt and Natalie deserves a shoutout for her effortless service. The food is well-made and attractively presented. Given the pricing, portions could be a little bigger but it was satisfying in any event. The bathrooms are downstairs and clean, which was appreciated, but the stairs make it difficult for wheelchair users to access. For a restaurant such as this, the paper menus stapled together are not acceptable. This needs to improve as it detracts from the pleasant experience.

Fish was really fresh (hake) and flavourful, and not over-spiced. We had some oysters that were great. Service was awesome and friendly, definitely no complaints. We asked to make a minor change to a dish, and they were happy to oblige Will go back for sure - price was a bit steep, but we enjoyed the food a lot, so still 5-stars

Such fortunate serendipity. Found this place on Google while looking for a place to wait for my friend in Bree Street. It's located in upper Bree which is quiet and calm during the day. This restaurant hands down has the best Oysters I've ever tasted so far in Cape Town. I also had the octopus and atchar starter which blew me away. Such good food, such good service. Can't wait to come again. The only down side is that they only have one cider in their alcohol menu.

Truly had an amazing meal at Sea Breeze! If like me you think a fish restaurant will be bland, then do your tastebuds a favour and book a table. The seafood curry was terrific and bursting with flavour. Great to be out during these crazy times to enjoy a fabulous meal in a friendly, chilled setting that is covid conscious.

Mussels and prawn salad were exceptional! But more than that the service was outstanding. We wandered past not looking for anywhere for lunch and the friendliness of the staff standing outside made us turn around 100m down the road and come back โ€“ they were delightful throughout and being very covid-cautious we felt so safe sitting outside with all precautions clearly in place.

My new favourite discovery in Cape Town! Their cocktail happy hour is delicious, and their oyster happy hour is absolutely out of this world - an incredibly generous pricing. If you like seafood this should be close to the top of your list. The staff are also incredibly friendly and jovial - we definitely tipped higher here!!

An enjoyable experience โ€“ the oyster special is great & it has attractive surroundings for eating outside. Which is important in corona times. The food is good if not mind-expanding โ€“ just as a personal wish it would be nice to see a restaurant like this offer something with clams and other more unusual stuff from the sea, though I have no idea whether there's an audience for such things. The one not-as-good option were the aubergine "chips", which had obviously been fried in the same oil used for the fish. When most of your table is fish-based, you kind of want the non-fish items *not* to taste of fish. But overall fun and recommendable.

Ive always wanted to go there as the street always fills will delicious aromas and who doesn't love seafood?? What a let down. Their pricing, unfortunately, does not match their portions; and the food was subpar. They'd benefit from using authentic recipes, perhaps then the pricing could be excused.

It was ok, I'm not a huge fan of fish so nothing really stood out. I had the kinklip with risotto Wich was ok nothing special. Starter was the egg plant was amazing very crunchy.
