Quaint little spot in Sea Point that serves surprisingly good Chinese food and sushi. Wonton Soup - definitely the best dish we had. The wonton was excellent, and the soup not too salty Sushi - we had a variety and enjoyed the sushi. Decent portions and fresh Cucumber Salad - a delicious and fresh dish, the sauce was nice and tangy Beef Flank - probably the least enjoyable dish, as the sauce was a bit too salty and the meat was a bit tough

This is a little Chinese restaurant along Arthur's road in Cape Town South Africa. It can sit upto 25 pax, offering typical Chinese and Japanese cuisine. It's a quiet place offering both dine in and take away options for it's upmarket clientele. Very popular for dinner and orders can be placed in advance and table booking in advance is advised. Delivery service available too. Quick and good service with value for money pricing.

good portion size, plenty of chicken in the dishes ordered, the taste ok, the packaging definitely needs to be improved, dishes also lose a lot of sauce as a result 2/22 Packing now has improved ! Food quality very nice. Had Chicken black bean.

Always a reliable place to get a quick supper. Some great dishes - Lemon chicken, sesame chicken, curry beef flank, chicken fried rice, prawn spring rolls. Personally not as fond of their pad Thai or kung pow chicken. Great service and fast.

What a gem in Sea Point! 😍 Love the decor. I had sushi as a starter, which was absolutely 10/10. For mains I had the crispy duck with a side of noodles. Also delicious and tasty. They are not shy with their portions, so you get quality and quantity 😜

A real hidden-in-plain-sight gem - would not have stopped here but for google maps! Small place but plenty of room for couples and small groups. Sushi is great, especially the sashimi salad and wok fried green beans. The crispy duck is good, but breaded so be aware. We liked the sashimi salad so much we ordered it twice. They also have sake.

This restaurant was a great find. The place is aesthetically pleasing. Neat and has definite attention to detail. The menu has a nice wide variety. I ordered a spring roll for a starter. It was fresh and delicious and was served with a dipping sauce. For mains I got some sushi and noodles. The sushi was delicious and fresh and was presented well. I love their chopsticks. Not the cheap wooden ones. The mains I had a noodles dish I not sure exactly which one. But it was nice and spicy like it said but not overly spicy. I love that it was super fine noodles as suggested. The portion size was huge and definitely worth the price. The service was quick and server was friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this place and would be coming back for more. Next time I would also like to try the dessert.

I can't believe there is still a place where the sushi is worth it. This food was incredible. And the portions were amazing. 10/10 would recommend and we will be back

So, I was previously obsessed with this restaurant. The food is amazing, great portions, affordable and they are in a great location, though the space is rather small. My biggest issue with this restaurant is the service. I have only had one positive interaction there in the two years I've been a customer there. And more recently, I am pretty sure I was infected with Covid-19 in this restaurant. My friend and I were the only diners there on afternoon and a lady came in coughing her lungs out and without a mask on. She was not asked to leave, nor exercise caution and by the time my friend and I rushed through paying and packing up our food, we were already infected. I am unfortunately not surprised because prior to that, a month or so after lockdown restrictions were lifted, I had to argue with possibly all of the waitresses to keep the windows open one evening, although the place was packed to the brim with customers. To further drive my point home, I see now that they have been closed for the past two weeks, most likely because all the workers were also infected with the virus from that one customer. Such a shame :(

Wow, that was an excellent meal! Quick, efficient service! The Singapore noodles were perfectly flavored, the banana with ice cream for dessert was so yummy!

Another go to venue for authentic Asian cuisine. Tried the crispy duck, beef flank and mapo dofu. Portions are well worth every cent spent. Cost effective for sharing.

Excellent Asian cuisine. A good variety of Chinese plates and also sushi, prices are very accessible. Staff is very helpful, we enjoyed 2 evenings of different plates. If you like Asian then this is a recommended restaurant.

This is the best Chinese food I have eaten. Would have been 5 stars if it wasn't for our very unfriendly waitress, who did not even greet or say good bye. When I thanked her for the food after paying she literally just walked off without saying anything.

Sushi was fantastic. Perfect amounts of sashimi to rice. I must compliment the chef. The service was however not that great or it could have been the time we walked in.

A very beautiful Chinese restaurant. The food is really delicious and affordably priced. A great place to just go out and have some good food, it's very clean the music that play is very relaxing. So will definitely recommend Making, one of my favourite goto places since I was a teenager and the chef is really good at doing what he does best which is making good food so definitely a 5-star restaurant for me. The staff is really friendly too.

I went to Make for lunch and there wasn't much people in, though seems to be a spot popular with tourists, given the location in central Sea Point. The atmosphere is casual and the decoration is modern. They were very busy with deliveries, but the attention was nice and the food ready in our table very quickly. I loved the vegetable dumplings, to the point to ordering a extra portion at the end to take away, they are slightly smoked, really delicious! The fried egg rice was also very well seasoned. The veg. buns were kind of dull, not much filing, same as the spring rolls. The mapo tofu was good, but too oily. The price of most items is good. 4 and not 5 because the lack of fillings on the spring rolls and bums (compared with other chinese food restaurants in Cape Town) and the excessively oily mapo.

They don’t take reservations and don’t have much room - bring your patience along just incase…Bu the food is absolutely worth it. Good portions and reasonably priced, including sushi which is amazing. Their packaging for online orders needs improving. Polystyrene is definitely not fit for purpose - Chinese food :)

Amazing restaurant - the food is fantastic and there is great variety to choose from. The service can be a bit slow but otherwise it is worth the wait! They have the most amazing Dim Sum - potstickers, char siu bao, dumplings, Spring Onion pancake etc! I would highly recommend the Sesame Chicken - it seems as if everyone loves this dish. It is definitely my favourite. The noodles are well flavoured. The dipping sauces they serve are amazing.

We enjoyed our dinner there, a little place with great service and delicious food. Portions are quite generous too.

I had the lover's platters and oh boy was it delicious. This was the freshest, most well-presented sushi I have ever had, prepared authentically by real Japanese people. Would 10/10 recommend for anyone looking for a good sushi spot.

Sushi is delicious and really well priced. Service was adequate. Staff could be better trained and friendlier but you really go for the good sushi!

We were a party of six and ordered a fair amount of food. However my meal was not what I ordered as it should have been spicy according to the menu and it was not, when I questioned this to the waitress she said that the menu was wrong, why was I not informed this when I ordered. I then said that I didn’t want that meal and she took it away, no apology, no offering or suggesting something else, off she went with my meal and that was it! Then when the bill arrived, my meal was still on there, I expressed my frustration with this, she then took it off the bill. I asked to speak to the owner, who again said it was an error, again how is this my fault? I expressed that no suggested replacement, this was very disappointing! Now the toilets, not clean, one regular hand towel to dry your hands and no soap. When I walked past the kitchen towards the end of the evening I walked past the kitchen, this looked very dirty and took a double take peek. As we were leaving, a cockroach ran across our table. This restaurant looks great from the outside, but the backend is NOT clean at all. Bad unfriendly service, not clean, I would advise to avoid this one!
