The best seafood & portuguese chicken we have had in a long time. Friendly service and offering beautiful views over the mountain. Highly reccomend

To the previous 1 star comment from Becky. We’ve been coming weekly too. More than 20yrs. The reason we come back time after time is consistency. The staff have been there forever. From the chefs to the amazing waiter. No person cares more about his staff than Toni. Whenever they have required assistance. Toni has always been there. If as you purport he was abusive then the question is why are they still there. Toni is passionate. From what I’ve heard is that you got your steak on the house and finished all your food. So it must have good.

I've always had good food at Toni's. If you're wanting to taste good Portuguese style food without much fanfare then this is the place. All the dishes are excellent value and genuine good. The Mozambican chicken is excellent and so is the espetada and cod fish (bacalhau). Take my word it's worth a visit.

We went for the prawn special and it was delicious. This small family oriented restaurant offers great food and warm atmosphere. They have some really good specials.

Had their seafood rice before and that was soo good. Wasn’t a fan of their fish cakes and chicken livers but calamari was cooked 10/10. Also very well priced and would go back again to try their other dishes!

5/5 in casual dining category. Fantastic place for chilled meal. Seafood rice was fantastic and reminded us of the best cataplanas we had in Portugal. We took prawns from special - totally recommended - not only the prawns were good by themselves, but the accompanying sauce was a dream.

We booked a dinner for 5 on a week night and we're happily welcomed to the restaurant and our table. The food and beer was great! Max was our waiter for the evening and he was an excellent host who explained the specials and a few menu items we'd never heard of before. Be sure to buy a bottle of their garlic chilli sauce, it's a fantastic tasting sauce!

I have been to TOnis about 6 or 7 times, I usually have a great time there. Recently, though, my favourite dish, the chicken livers, have been served in a shallow bowl, and the dish seems to go cold quickly, and is not the dish it used to be. Still, the place is great, and great value

We attended a birthday celebration at Toni's. The owner (Toni) was very accommodating and understood our dietary requirements. A lovely eve spent with a group of really special people and Toni's made it so much more special. The food was tasty and served warm and we did not have to wait long seeing that we were a group of 16 people.

We were a large group of x10 and right from the start Toni and his staff were friendly and very helpful. We were there in December and the quality of the food is EXCELLENT! We had starters mains and dessert - and honestly their prices could legitimately be increased as the portion sizes are generous…. Flavours are well balanced…. Textures compliment each other well -and just all round wonderful wonderful food! Definitely recommended if you’re a foodie! Thanks again Toni!

Toni's is a landmark in Cape Town. Value for money and Mozambican Portuguese flavour. I have been to the latest newbies and they cannot compare. Old school definitely rules. Peri peri chicken, prawn risoles, spicy rice, trinchado, etc. Just go and try for yourself. Starter, main, beers and wine all under R700. Come on this is a steal in comparison.

Toni's on Kloof offers traditional portuguese cuisine cooked to perfection. It was so wonderful we did not even think of a photo because we tucked in straight away. Lulu, our waitron made us feel quite at home in their homely setting with a lovely little fireplace oozing warmth. We will be back!

We enjoyed dining at this Portugese restaurant. The chicken is well cooked and flavourful. The theme is vintage and rustic with a fireplace to give it a more cosy feel. I also was lucky enough to try native portugese wine. I will definitely recommend it.

Lovely atmosphere, and loved that the outside seating was also very warm and cozy once you close the flaps on the sides. The food was delicious and service was good. Fairly priced food, the rice could be slightly more with the meals, but overall not to bad at all.

There are few good options for Portuguese cuisine experiences. However, Toni's, in my opinion is of the finest if not the finest in Cape Town Owner operated, and more Mozambican style. Every meal is superbly prepared and simply delicious. The food is freshly prepared, so it is not fast foods. The atmosphere is great, great Portuguese wine to relax with, and simply a lovely place to be. Great value for money, fresh produce and ingredients. Great for business lunch meetings too.

I drove 370 km to dine at Toni's and was not disappointed! Great Portuegese cuisine with a Mozambican influence. The food was sumptuous and the service great. One criticism would be the wine list which needs some updating. I am all for a small wine list, but then everything must be available. Pricing was good and Toni's is definitely worth a visit. Make sure to book and take your time! Enjoy!
