Please paint me!!! I’m in serious need of maintenance, dedicated attention and loving care. I’m a building with such a long and interesting history which should be shared widely - the good and the bad, but hopefully not the ugly.

Historically rich and an authentic look into life in the Cape.

A great disappointment. The museum has been neglected, and is in dire need of a refresh and major maintenance. On a hot summer's day, the house was dank and so dark that it was impossible to see a major part of the exhibition. It has enormous but unrealised potential.

Impressive collection of beautiful old furniture in a gorgeous old building. Dark and gloomy though as for some reason none of the lights worked (it wasn't load shedding) and no tours running as there are renovations going on outside.

It is wonderful to see the city taking care of historical buildings. The Koopmans-De Wet House is beautifully restored and well maintained. Be sure to check opening times before visiting.
