Incredibly informative, so sad that more isn't done! Open every 28 days for a look into Cape history. You can even buy flour milled in the traditional manner! Quite amazing and worth a visit.

Little is known of this somewhat historic landmark. But people who pay attention always know what you talk about when you mention it. A good piece of history nestled in the trees just off the M3 at Rosebank and it looks attractive in its own right.

A marvellous piece of community preserved history. The most recent reconstruction by the Friends of Mostert’s Mill organisation has been a fascinating project to watch. Andy Selfe and his team deserve a medal! Before the fire in April 2021, we regularly attended the monthly open days organised by the Friends volunteers. Such a rare treasure: a working wind mill and the flour you can buy is wonderful for making bread!

I love historic places and monuments and feel strongly that the secret to our success lies in not repeating the faws made in the past. As such its really nice to see the mill actually doing what it was made to do - grind wheat. Entrance today cost me R50 for myself and my wife. Thats per year. Individual entrance is currently R40. Check their facebook page and website for further details.

We visited Cape Town , my partner and our 5 girls for 2 weeks. We had to bring specifically one of our girls there! She was admiring this mill since her very young age. And, big thanks to John for this magic moment! Definitely a place to experience! Kids as well as 'big kids' were amazed there! So so wonderful and magic! A place to go for sure! Thank you John!

The rebuild of this beautiful 230 year old mill is nearing completion. She will be milling flowers again soon and will be open to the public.

What an incredible experience to see the Mill in action- so well restored and run by a great bunch of volunteers. I even bought some of the flour that was milled and the bread they had for a taster was amazing.

An iconic landmark so many used to pass on the M3 Highway everyday, now destroyed by a mountain fire. Truly part of our Cape Town history and a striking feature to be remembered.
