Came for a weekend getaway and had a exceptional lodging experience. All the staff are friendly and extremely helpful. Also the guests/lodgers have a harmonious relationship. The place is immaculate considering the fact that it is a backpackers tenancy. Great area to be, close to ample eateries and it's also a walking distance from a major shopping centre, V&A Waterfront, and the captivating Green Point Stadium. Atlantic Point Backpackers is a fantabulous establishment to be at, whether it be long or short term! Thank you APB for giving me the time of my life🤙🏽👍🏽

I really wish they would be more considerate about the fact that they are situated in a residential area. Very often there is loud music and screaming blaring from the place. This happens as much as 4 days a week! Very disturbing and inconsiderate.

I enjoyed my stay at APB. It is super convenient to everything. V&A Waterfront is within walking distance as is the Hop On, Hop Off bus. The MyCiTi bus is like a block away. Walking distance to several restaurants, the grocery store and drop off laundry. It’s a fun place. The staff and volunteers are great. It’s a really good vibe. It’s definitely a great place for meeting people and socializing. They plan cool official and unofficial outings. They have a Braii on Thursday nights and quite a few people participated while I was there. They are really helpful with finding you tours. Housekeepers clean the rooms daily. Breakfast served daily. Probably about the usual for most hostels but it’s a great gesture, money saver and totally convenient. I know each group is different but even the revolving groups that was there for the couple of weeks I was there was cool. Physically, it’s not the most modern but it is clean which is most important. I stayed in garden room which was a four bedroom right outside the pool. I loved it because it wasn’t bunk beds. My only complaint is the mosquitoes. They ate me up despite sleeping in repellent every night. I would probably suggest getting/bringing a mosquito net. Side note: Mr Price Home down the street sells them. My challenge was figuring out how to hang it. I think the location of my room made us more susceptible and it doesn’t help that I’m a sweater. All in all, I really enjoyed my stay and met some really great friends.

Great place! One of the most convenient things is codes on the doors so you don't need to carry around keys with you. They have free parking, a bar, a kitchen, and free breakfast. It's a pretty nice place, with a small pool, cute decorations, and good water pressure. The check-in people are pretty nice, and were helpful in most things. Pretty clean for a hostel, we were there for two nights in an ensuite private room, and they even serviced the room after the first night (rare for a hostel).

Had a fantastic last minute stay. The staff were friendly, excellent service. Very clean. Unfortunately they were booked for the following night but they were very happy to allow me to assist and do some work while I made alternative arrangements. Thanks guys

This is the best backpackers in Cape Town. The manager is extremely friendly and helpful, she makes you feel right at home. The rooms are very clean and neat, as well as properly outfitted for all of your needs. The area is secure. There is a bar and a self catering kitchen with everything you need. The room I stayed in had an airconditioner which was very helpful considering how hot Cape Town gets sometimes. The backpackers is centrally located and you can walk to anything your heart desires. One of the best experiences I’ve ever had. One of the night guard’s is a bit rude and refuses to open the gate for you sometimes though.

The staff was rude to me and I felt like they were being a bit racist. My bed wasn't that clean but it was comfortable. The bathroom was fine. The other guests at the place were also a bit off.

The first 2 nights in Sparrow I was nearly carried away by mosquitos and counted 42 bite marks on the second day. The rooms in Africa were better, especially room 2. Staff are friendly, its a pity it closes in January as it is really well located, possibly 60 places to eat in easy walking distance. The wharf is also a good but easy walk. Loved the vibe.

The place is lovely is a walking distance to the stadium , the beach and the Victoria Wharf Shopping Centre, the service is nice, there’s a mini bar for those who love a beer before they sleep Wi-Fi, Laundry Service,. The rooms and the beds are clean and very comfortable. It’s good for a group of people who don’t mind sharing .

Really nice hostel with awesome facilities in Cape. You’ll definitely enjoy your time here. Pool is not really maintained during low-season. Which makes sense, since it’s like this everywhere around the country. Would stay again and recommend!

When I arrived, I got allocated the wrong room. It seemed like Agoda handed them the wrong information about my booking, but we managed to come to an agreement that I would sleep on the female dorm since the mixed dorm room I wanted was fully booked. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here. The staff here is very amazing. The rooms are very clean. The place is very accessible to many shops and some attractions. I'm definitely gonna come back again since the staff recommend that I should use their website to make a booking.

Atlantic point is an amazing hostel with staff and guests from around the world who practice hospitality and kindness like I’ve never experienced before! The room we stayed in was very spacious(even with 6 people in it) and the ladies working at the hostel always kept it organized and fresh when we headed out for the day. The facility overall was consistently clean- the other guests were consistent with cleaning up after themselves as well. You can always find something to do from reading the list of activities located at the front desk of the hostel or asking around for recommendations! The staff and guests immediately welcomed us and included us in their activities! We made unforgettable memories and life long friends from across the world! I can’t recommend this place enough and I can’t wait to come back next year!! 🫶🏻 🇿🇦

Great place, friendly people, you can participate in activities suggested by other guests in the group app. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms have large lockers. Never had to wait for a shower or toilet because there are 3 of each. Hostel is located in a pretty safe neighborhood.

(Not Advisable to book here when you black!!!)Rachael is bad receptionist so rude and the security there as useless ..here they shout while talking to guests I’m not the first to complain about the Rachael girl (Racist to black people know more than 5 girls that have left because of her terrible attitude towards guests yet James And The Silka are the best in the world if they on reception you’ll have a great time and enjoy your stay I highly don’t recommend this place to any black person it’s a no go area(They said no refund but we were giving money to check out at night 21:56 who does that if u a white girl u more than welcome to come stay in this “hostel “but for my black girls I suggest hotels cos this white racism hostel would be the worst you’ve ever been too !!!!!!the old cleaner is very nosey and rude to us and I’m ore than ready for a court case for this racist place!!!!!!they should state strictly for whites so us blacks stay farrrrrrrr away (we were smoking at the back and was told by a lady that stays here that we can but unfortunately racist Rachael as the so called manager had issues with that and gave us our money and told us to leave at 21:56 how evil and racist I could say a million words about this place just if u black don’t go near there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!))

My stay here has been amazing. I came to stay for around 2 weeks but because of the lockdown ended up staying over 6 months. The place became my home and the staff my family. Jéssica and Maourie are always helpful and around to sort out whatever needs to be done. Rati and Gaylord are also amazing and caring. They made my days much better in this place theat I love that is cape Town. I have no doubt where I'll stay when I vome back soon.

Amazing, receptive staff, fantastic location in one of best suburbs in Cape Town. Just a walk from the VA waterfront - sea point and the city bowl are just a hop away on either side. The atmosphere is great, the communal facilities and vibe mean there's always a group meeting ans going to do something together! Drinks available at the bar too. Private room is spacious, clean - the ensuite option is definitely something to consider, and there are generous week and month discounts. Very highly recommended!! Happy I'll be staying for a while 😊
