Kauai Camps Bay is like every other Kauai. Nothing different on their trusted menu. However they do have stunning views of the Camps Bay beach and ocean. Ideal location and best spot. So it puts them far ahead of most other Kauai stores. Staff and service is good. Food is good.

Been coming to this Kauia since the early 2000’s back when I started buying the Strawberry Stinger smoothie🥤 & Princess Wrap 🌯 Besides Subway sandwiches, Kauia basically invented the trendy healthy eating habits in Cape Town. Over the years I’ve tried all the eating plans (carnivore: biltong, ostrich burger 🍔 which they then discontinued but more recently brought out the normal burger)... if you’re keto or pescatarian then their salads are a good option. If you don’t eat actual food and juicing or protein powder is your “thing” 🤔 😆 then Kauai basically has you covered.

Good value and great ingredients. Great and quick. If you just want a quick breakfast ot lunch or something to quickly take to the beach

Although the setting is beautiful we had to wait 2 hours for our meals to arrive, we were offered a complimentary drink which while appreciated did not make up for such a long wait.

Kauai is a chain of healthy restaurants which are around South Africa. This is a great branch which is situated in a prime location directly opposite the Camps Bay beach. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. They also have a big selection of smoothies and juices. I had a sriracha chicken wrap which was very nice.

The waiter we had was very pushy and not attentive to the last couple who had the table before us ,their wine bottle still in the ground. Sand at the bottom of our chips, the table next to us with a birthday party had all her gust arrive with no masks, hugging and really not knowing that we are in a pandemic, being aware of others around them. The management did not seem too perturbed about the no masks. For the amount of money spent, i would have assumed better service.

We had a reservation for 3:30 27 February 2021. Venue is gorgeous, fantastic location. Once seated it took almost 10mins to get a menu. Then almost 30min for our cocktails. And I have to say it was the worst cocktail we've ever had, we literally jugged it because it was so unpleasant. Definitely not worth R95 per cocktail. Then to charge R45 for tap water that is just put into a branded bottle. You can taste the difference between bottled water and normal tap water. So I don't believe anything was worth the R215 bill we got. When we paid the waiter asked why we were leaving and I just said we have other plans. And this was on my birthday so I was I was highly disappointed with the experience. I also see that many people have complained about the terrible service and yet nothing seems to have been done about this matter.

We had a reservation at 6PM (on Valentine’s Day) with my partner and myself. At 6:15 we sat down and ordered our drinks. 45 minutes later our drinks arrived. We ordered food at this time which proceeded to take over an hour to arrive. When my burger got to me it was raw and cold in the center and the chips were cold. My partner got fish and chips that were not very warm. We complained the the manager that night (Lauren). We got drink replacement and my burger was replaced and this time came back hot. There were some people who arrived 1hr after us that managed to get their food before us, and they were not even ordering the Valentine’s Day menu. Unfortunately free drinks are nice but attending a 5 star restaurant and getting this service does not make up for the mistakes made.

Venue excellent, not much of a variety in foods. Very expensive for tasteless and bland food.

The place did not meet my expectations. Beautiful view with terrible service. The food poorly prepared, with no attention to details. I guess its one of those places that has beautiful pics but terrible food.

Not really a place for kids but our toddler was made to feel just as welcome as we were. A Pina colada combined with the paradisaical setting can easily have you believe you're on a tropical island.

Service is terrible waitied for about 45 minutes for drinks and eventually when we received the drink after complaining to 2 managers was told the bar is busy (does it take 45 minutes to make a Mojito). The worse part when we received the food we received no cutlery and no salt n pepper, the tables that came after us received service before which we did not understand and when we ordered food we were told it doesn't come all at once which is unheard of, we so dissapoint with the service we received,

Poor service. Waiters only looking to serve the ones that look “wealthy”. We waited 2 hours for our food. Overall we were here for 3 hours and only had 1 meal and 1 drink. Pathetic service! I will not recommend this place at all.

So this is my first ever complaint about a restaurant which means you must have been shockingly terrible. Please ensure what is on your menu is actually available or at least tell your waiters what isn't available so that they can warn us instead of having to come back for the 5th time to tell us something is unavailable. The things I ordered was in this order: part wolf lager, grand lager, leffe's, pizza, oysters...each time the poor waitress had to come back to tell me each one wasn't available. I ended up choosing a wine after asking her what was actually available. By that time I hadn't actually received a drink after an hour and a half let alone any food. You guys are letting the Cape town food scene down horrifically. And to boot, despite having paid secured parking we had a group of very drunk kids fighting and damaging our car with no one stepping in to sort things out. All in all I really have no desire to recommend you to anyone.

It’s such a pity that the service at this place is so bad because it has a great opportunity to be a solid 5 stars. Food, drinks and location are amazing.

Popped in for a quick smoothie and juice on a hot day, queue wasn’t overly large but for some reason the two of us had to wait well over 20 minutes for two drinks. People behind us had been served and finished eating their food, before our DRINKS had even arrived. They asked us what our order was many times, yet still slow and not really apologetic about the wait. Drinks were fine, but wouldn’t go back purely because of the slow wait.

I ordered a gluten-free wrap, it was absolutely not gluten-free. I even checked with a staff member when they handed it to me and they said it was gluten-free and then mumbled something about vegan. It was a chicken wrap, there was no reason for it to be listed as vegan they clearly mixed it up. This is a serious problem and has serious health implications for me as a celiac as I have an autoimmune reaction to gluten, gluten-free is not a preference, it's an unfortunate necessity for me. In the past I've been able to trust Kauai to give me food that is safe for me to eat, I spend ages going through the allergies listed for menu items to make sure I can eat them, I then always relay what I need to staff and this branch has made me incredibly unlikely to order from Kauai again. You need to take food allergies seriously. If someone asks for a gluten-free item you need to make sure it's gluten-free or inform that that you are not able to cater to them.

Really enjoy kauai. Had a bad experience at camps bay branch though . Ordered a strawberry stinger which I always get and this one was nothing like what I usually get very watery , mentioned it too the assistant he tried too remake it but still wasn't nice .

It's my second time here and always warmly welcomed by the staff. Their salads are very good/health. Top-notch service.

I like Kauai and enjoy just about everything on your menu! The service is also good. My only gripe is today I ordered a mango smoothie that was insipid. It was watery and lacked flavour. I felt like I was paying for crushed ice with a dash of yoghurt and nothing else. Mango smoothies are supposed to taste like mango, right? Not this one! I took it back and asked them to remake it. No.2 was marginally better but not by that much. For a R60+ smoothie today's was a bit of a letdown! 😐

Cappuccino was excellent but unfortunately served in throw away cups despite us sitting at the premises. At times one gets disturbed by beggars hanging around Camps Bay. The paintings being sold on the streets all look the same and are quite amateurish.

Sadly, had one of their green juices - the lemon cucumber cooler or something, and couldn't taste any of the fruits that were meant to be in it. Apple where? Pineapple where? Really was just a bitter, sour thing that I couldn't even finish. Disappointing on a hot summer beach day. Location is great though, as it's on a main road, right across from the beach. Service was OK.

They open very early, which is very convenient if you have a child like like mine who wakes up at 6 AM. Very tasty food, excellent breakfast, friendly staff, and a nice view.

This is/was one of the few places I enjoy(ed) eating at on the beach road in Camps Bay so I was very disappointed to be double charged. After swiping my card and getting the approved message, the cashier told me that there is a system error and it didn't actually go through so I paid with cash. When I got home and checked my phone , the payment had really gone through. I just felt cheated and this incident left such a bad taste in my mouth and I don't see myself going back to any Kauai after this. Sad to say.

Food is alright, but the portions are very small. I’ve ordered a wrap and had to order food afterwards because it was not enough. Maybe for the small appetite it seems appropriate, but as a full meal, it’s too little. Taste was okay, could be better for the price.

Firstly it's not the service or store nor a hater to dog lovers, but to my utter disgust earlier whilst enjoying a peanut butter bomb smoothie(THE BOMB).. I witnessed a patron after he enjoyed a breakfast oats bowl, he then fed the left overs to his dog eating out of same the bowl which 100s of other patrons will use. if this offends dog owners, I ask, do you eat out of your dogs bowl? Please some human etiquette and possibly up the protocols..

The view was spectacular and the people we great, the drinks seemed to have different tastes🤔 for the same flavors, the one day we took a salted caramel and it was great the next day we took the same one and it was super salty, it dried out our mouth. There was one worker in particular that was not very friendly as he brought our drinks to us it was like he almost tossed them onto the table as he walked passed, we sat there for a few seconds and thought maby we angered him in some way which we dont know yet🤷‍♂️. We went here twice for the view and the love of kaukai, we also enjoyed these guys in st lucia KZN, but at camps bay we had a different experience, hope to see you again but with a bit more appreciation towards the customers that helps you to build your brand👍🏻

Waited 17 minutes for an Americano and Hot Chocolate. I asked if I could please add the milk as I only take a small amount and they ignored me and gave me an udder full. Oh, and the cyclists dripping sweat on the floor was gross.

The food is at the basic KAUAI standard but the service leaves much to be desired. We had a whole meal and still didn't receive the smoothies we ordered when we came in. When I went to query the staff kept making the smoothie I ordered and giving it to other customers, while I was standing there asking if I could at least get the smoothie to go. IMO the staff needs to get off their Camps Bay high horse and accept their location doesn't mean they can get away with appalling service.

"Best coffee in the world!" Stopped here after a cycle to Chapman's peak. Waiter informed us they served the best coffee in the world. Who am I to ague? Certainly very friendly staff, great cakes and the best coffee today, so far!

We ordered via Uber Eats, waited more than an hour (the delivery date kept getting pushed back) and finally got the message "the delivery could not be delivered", which is rubbish as I waited 30 minutes outside the door.... Hungry and angry about the non-service and the lack of a short explanation / info. Followed up via mail / Chat (no response) and tried to call (nobody picked up) Thanks for nothing.

The Grand is perfect for anyone who wants to feel the sand between their toes with a view & smell of the Ocean. It provides gorgeous scenery and plenty of props for those insta worthy shots. Food is utterly delicious, service is great and the cocktails & gin selection is amazing. Definitely worth a visit for a day/night out with the family, friends or a solo mission.

The food and atmosphere was fantastic. However the tables near the water were placed too close and we asked to be placed somewhere else. Definitely not 1 5m between groups.

We visited the Grand on a Thursday evening for cocktails and some food. We sat on the beach front which is beautiful but the tables were dirty and the waiter did not clean them while we were there. We ordered two cocktails which took 1 hour to arrive, then after quickly ordering some food to try prevent further delay, we were told 45min later that one of the items (caprese salad) was not available. I understand things have been tough with covid, but a place like the Grand, with the prices they have, you expect a certain standard that was just not there. It's such a great place and the staff were friendly so I do hope things improve, because it would be shame otherwise.

I took my partner today for her birthday celebration. We had an absolutely wonderful time. The view is spectacular, the food was awesome and the overall ambiance was just fantastic. Definitely a place to return to.

Grand Cafe has great vibe. Restaurant is located next to the beach, you have an option of seating in the sand or restaurant. I would not recommend wearing stilettos for the ladies!. Great place for a lunch with friends or to celebrate a loved ones birthday. Wide selection of drinks available. They play current music as well, we did the Jerusalem dance here!. The menu is limited, i was not impressed by this. But i did enjoy myself here!

The venue is exceptional, fantastic sea views while having a drink with your feet in the beach sand. Excellent drinks selection. Staff were friendly and helpful. The food was presented tastefully but unfortunately lacked flavour and missed that WOW factor. Everything was quite pricey but an overall great experience.
