We made an reservation at your restaurant yesterday and was bitterly disappointed when we arrived there. Since the relocation the place is just not the same. No friendly reception at all! The small little place only had six tables and when we sat down the wooden table were so dirty and messy. The whole place smells like old tobacco as clearly people are allowed to smoke in there. By the time we received our menus, we have already decided that this is not where we want to spend our 26th Anniversary, and left. You have to change your website, as this little place is a far cry from what the website advertise.

The Indian Chapter by Prim Reddy has been closed for some time. Pictures online are of the old Indian Chapter. There is another little restaurant nearby also called the Indian Chapter. In my opinion- its unethical to steal a restaurant's identity and reputation. Please be careful when ordering for delivery.

Excellent service, we had the most friendly and attentive waiter service our table. Our dishes were outstanding, burst of flavour every bite, and the best naan bread in Cape Town. We had an amazing time, will definitely be visiting again.

If you are looking for tasty and authentic Indian cuisine .. this is the place for you. Intimate.. cozy and unpretentious… the aromas of good cooking wafting through. Attentive staff to assist with everything from friendly greeting to swift service for drinks and food. Remember they are unlicensed so bring your own wine. Can purchase wine at the Tops Spar just a short walk away. I’ve been dining here for some years before they moved from a larger premises. Due to Covid the restaurant had to move smaller but still serves the most delectable curries and food aimed to please .. the most discerning palate. Our most favorite dishes include the pashwari naan, korma, butter chicken, biryani, samosas, Chinese style hot chicken and garlic naan … but everything is always good. Prim Reddy is phenomenally enigmatic and full of life. She certainly is the heart of this small world and delivers with heartfelt warmth if you are lucky to see her. I highly recommend her cookbook Temptations! Worlds best seller and when you buy it for less than R350 you will see why. Page through and see for yourself the love and passion she has for cooking. I love that there are some South African dishes she’s adapted too. Don’t expect a fancy decor … this is the real deal. Heartfelt and humble .. an absolute delight !

Absolutely, the best Indian curry food restaurant near by. Wow, We cant go out and my family, the kids and wife has been nagging me, where can we go or order take away Indian food for delivery. We ordered a variety of chicken and lamp curry-meals. I had to collect the food and wow? My wife and kids was in heaven when I returned with the food. As I drove home I could not stop myself from digging into the take away container so I dipped my finger into the chicken sauce. That was amazing people ! In short, I you live along the west coast on the N7 say maybe in Melkbos strand, Milnerton, Tableview, Blouberg then you in luck. The Indian Chapter restaurant is situated just off the beach road in Blouberg strand easy access to parking right in front of the shop. They serve the most delicious indian-curry food meals and I have also had the opportunity to meet The Owner on a previous visit to the restaurant. She is lovely lady and made me feel at home instantly. I would definitely recommend anybody to go and try out the food and I am not event talking about sitting down. The vibe is most relaxing, viby and shill out music to easy your mood. Great service to guys and a special thank you to the Owner. We love your food very much, says my wife !!! Best Indian restaurant in cape town in the northern suburb. Thank you. Vernon A

Do not miss the opportunity to eat here if you are in Bloubergstrand. This is authentic as they come. A real gem, understated and not commercialised. Their service is excellent and the atmosphere vibrant and happy without being noisy. I would recommend this to anyone. Go try something different! For a Freestater like me this was a REAL experience.

Loved the Indian curries and loved meeting Prim Reddy, South African celebrity, chef and the owner of the restaurant. She joined us at our table and chatted while we waited for the rest of our family to arrive. We'll definitely be returning to taste some of the other dishes on the menu. The portions were also more than adequate. Thank you Prim.

What an experience. We ordered for take away. Prim takes you down an exquisite culinary journey, awakening taste buds you didn’t know you had.Well done Indian Chapter. Yes, we did over order. 🤣

Parhetic service. Odered 2 of the same meals, waiter only brings one because the chef read incorrectly. Manager is very arrogant and did not offer any apology. Manager with a attitude told us to write to Primm Reddy. Will never enter this place ever again. People rather go the Burner, chalk and cheese. Latest, my friend and I have running stomachs. Terrible

I ordered food via Uber Eats from this restaurant. It was the worst, most tasteless food I've ever had. The paneer was super hard, and its gravy tasted like it might have been prepared using canned tomato puree. The laccha paratha was as hard as a rock, making it impossible to chew. I had to throw away all the food, as I couldn't even consider giving it to someone else. The aloo paratha was undercooked and improperly prepared. Please improve your service and food quality. I would have given your restaurant's food a negative or zero rating. It was simply terrible and unpleasant to eat. I won't be ordering from this restaurant again. Their food quality has been deteriorating for a while now.

Food was undercooked and lacking flavour. Waiters were generally disinterested in the customers. Portions were big and generous, but it's unlikely you'd want to finish it anyway. Restaurant had a smell of burnt food.

We were the only ones there. So perfect atmosphere 😊 it was unfortunately 30 min before loadshedding so they couldn't serve us at the restaurant but were happy to make food for us to go. Take away meal was served with efficiency and professionalism. Lovely waiter, helped me with my order selection with a great recommendation. Food was piping hot and wrapped properly and securely to avoid spills. Even after three hours, my curry was still warm. Perfect midnight snack.

Really loved this place and the food was so good. The atmosphere is quaint and the decor really takes you to India. Highly recommend

Not really what I expected from an Indian restaurant. The lamb rogan josh and chicken biryani we ordered did not leave up to expectations. The atmosphere is a bit dull which is not a problem but the inside was a bit dark for me which made reading the menu very difficult. Red text behind dark blue background was difficult to read. Will try them again after a very long time.

We've been eating here every year when we visit Cape Town. Yesterday we decided to go for delivery and when we tried the food it tasted a bit off. A few hours later we (me + my wife + our 2 year old daughter) are all sick 🤮 food poisoning. Not sure if the owner has changed or if it was just bad luck, but it obviously made us very wary of ordering here again.

The best Indian food I’ve had in a long time. The Vindaloo was HOT, but not that kind of obnoxious hot where you can’t taste any of the flavours. The spices were very well balanced. Their Masala Chai wasn’t the best I’ve ever had but their Butter Chicken was definitely in my top three. But the highlight was their fish tikka was the absolute highlight. It was incredibly delicious.

My partner and I come here at least once a week - it’s our favourite date night. Delicious food, attentive service and cozy vibe. It’s BYOB with no corkage - how dreamy! We always start with a samoosa each because why wouldn’t we?! They’re a decent portion of potato and peas and very tasty. My partner tries various lamb curries each week and I, the vegetarian curries although I’m sure all their dishes are spectacular. We usually go for the garlic naan to share (massive) but tonight we shared the peshwari naan which is coconut and cashew, very tasty & could be a meal! 10/10 recommend Indian Chapter, we love it and can’t imagine eating curry else where.

Food is Fantastic, Take away, not somewhere you can really sit in and get great service, but it is a takeaway, and the food is amazing xxxx will always go there for my Makhani 😋🤩

Very tasty food and good value for money. Much smaller than their previous location around the corner, but still excellent Indian cuisine. At the time of our visit (early Dec '21) they were waiting on their liquor license, but customers are welcome to bring their own wine.

👍👍 Loooooove this place!! I have been wanting to try it for a while because it has a great seaview but you’ve seen nothing until you’re inside!
