What was good - Good location, only a short Uber from the Waterfront. Staff were very polite and pleasant. Rooms were nice and comfortable. Plenty of local amenities within walking distance if you need anything. Breakfast was very nice, with the chef making a variety of egg dishes on demand. Also, the hotel has a generator, so electricity and hot water was always available and I was not affected by load shedding in any way. Nice affordable hotel and I would definitely stay again! What wasn't so great - The room I stayed in had an adjoining room door. Good for if you're staying with friends and family, but I requested a room without an adjoining door and none were available. The room did not come with complimentary water. Whilst I was told that the tap water was drinkable, it would expect complimentary water as standard for the standard and cost of the hotel. Breakfast was good on the whole, but the fruit selection was very lacking. Summary - On the whole, a good hotel in a great location close to lots of the sites within walking distance. I'd recommend it as a good spot and I'd definitely stay here again.

The rooms and facilities are acceptable. The restaurant is appauling. The food is over priced and mediocre. There is a 2/10 service level and it is shocking. Hard tough steak with no steak knife and over fishy hake. Poor show at rip-off prices. Again, the service stinks

First hotel to not allow me to use my room voucher before 18:00 because it's named "dinner" voucher. One barman let me though and there were no issues. No one seemed to know how my complimentary drinks work on first day. Bed is missing one leg.

All in all a nice hotel. Lovely rooms and nice breakfast. Service was good. Pool area is a bit bare and some fixtures, like the hotel doors are a bit old/tired. Location is very busy cross road in between v&a and CBD... Suggest Uber anywhere.

Good hotel and location. Has a warehouse theme on the hotel room floors. Otherwise rooms are good and I slept well!

Had a delightful stay at this hotel. The barman, security guard and staff are all friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. I was immediately welcomed by the doorman when he carried baggage from the street onto the baggage cart.

I recently had the opportunity to stay at the Garden Court Victoria Junction that, unfortunately, failed to deliver a basic necessity: hot water. While the hotel had other positive aspects, the absence of hot water significantly impacted my overall experience. My room phone was not working, I constantly had to call the front desk on my cell phone. Upon arriving at the hotel, I was initially impressed by the courteous staff and the elegant ambiance of the lobby. The check-in process was swift, and the receptionist provided useful information about the hotel's amenities and services. The room itself seemed comfortable and clean, with tasteful decor and a pleasant view. However, my excitement quickly turned into disappointment when I discovered the absence of hot water in the bathroom. I contacted the front desk immediately, hoping for a quick resolution to this inconvenience. Regrettably, the hotel staff informed me that there was a temporary issue with their hot water supply, and they were working to resolve it. I understand that unforeseen maintenance issues can occur, but the lack of hot water persisted throughout my entire stay, making it difficult to enjoy basic necessities like showering and washing my face. This inconvenience negatively impacted my overall impression of the hotel. Moreover, the hotel's response to the situation was unsatisfactory. While the staff was empathetic and apologized for the inconvenience, they were unable to provide a viable solution or alternative arrangements. This lack of proactive action left me feeling frustrated and dissatisfied with the level of customer service provided. On a positive note, the hotel did have other redeeming qualities. The bed was comfortable, and the room was generally clean. The hotel's location was also convenient, situated in close proximity to popular tourist attractions and dining options. Additionally, the hotel's Wi-Fi connection was reliable, which allowed me to stay connected and attend to work-related tasks during my stay. Despite these positives, the lack of hot water overshadowed the hotel's other features. A hot shower is a basic expectation in any hotel, and its absence significantly impacted my comfort and overall experience. In conclusion, I cannot recommend this hotel to others until they resolve the ongoing issue with their hot water supply. While they may have other positive aspects, the absence of this essential amenity heavily dampened my stay. I hope the management addresses this problem promptly to ensure a more satisfying experience for future guests.

Pleasant experience. Very central. Rooms fairly clean. Unfortunately did find quite a big cockroach during packing up clothes for check out. And the room smelled a bit like smoke. So I presume someone might have smoked in the room at some stage. But that is not indicative of the overall cleanliness as the rooms were quite clean overall. Friendly staff! Service was good. Check out was super quick. Location is great. Pleasant experience overall. Would be happy to be back. Rooms fairly spacious. Good sports packages

Great place to stay. This hotel is near all the best attractions in Cape Town. The front desk can help set up tour guides. They also allowed us to check in early.

Very clean and well maintained property. Staff are the friendliest you will ever meet. The food is a bit average though. The location is great for accessibility but not an area you can walk around at night.

Rooms were clean and spacious enough for 1. Just not a fan of carpets in hotels. Away from the waterfront but a quick drive to it or to seapoint and easy access to the highways.

Boutique hotel. Not a full service hotel. Rooms were comfortable... If it were a rainy day and you were forced to stay inside- you could survive! Police station is at the back door! Use common sense whenever you travel.

Great location. We did many things even by foot. Nice staff and clean rooms. Breakfast has a big and delicious variety.

The Garden Court Victoria Junction is a, hip and cool boutique hotel. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and beautiful, but I wouldn't say they are large. The bathroom was an okay size with a tub/shower. Amenities included coffee/tea with tea kettle, and mini-fridge. WiFi was excellent. The hotel has some nice restaurants nearby, but you'll need a car, Uber, or taxi to visit the cool places in Sea Point or Camps Bay. The hotel had a secure but narrow lap-pool located in the parking lot.

We had a great time when we stayed for a night, staff are lovely and warm and willing to go the extra mile! Cannot rave hard enough about the staff! Rooms need a bit of love, they were clean and warm but I had an unidentified wet patch on my floor and the channel options for watching TV are limited. Food was underwhelming and their options at the bar are limited. However, the location makes it perfect for its proximity to the VNA, MOJO Market, Saunders Beach and so many other cool places to visit that I don't think you'd spend much time in your room. I would definitely stay there again!

The staff here are the hotels best asset. Friendly, caring and willing to assist where they can. Our first room had broken air conditioning so a new room was found within a reasonable length of time. The room was clean and generally quiet There were marks around the bath/shower area but it was wear and tear rather than dirty. The bed was very comfy with a choice of pillows. Even with the room overlooking the main road it was quiet at night but that may have been due to having the a/c on throughout the night. The hotel has a pool and sunbathing area which is why I booked this hotel. Sadly, it is situated in the car park and was closed for most of our stay. Even when the pool reopened the water was dirty, cloudy and unusable. We did use the sun-beds but found them to be quite uncomfortable. We ate breakfast a number of times in the restaurant. The hot choices were sufficient and changed daily. The chefs at the egg grill were very helpful and they make a great omelette. As breakfast buffets go I would give it 3 out of 5. That means it was not terrible, it was okay but it was nothing to rave about either. The staff in the restaurant were lovely and very helpful.

My check in experience was wonderful and contributed to having a wonderful stay, I checked in on 15/11/2023 around 7pm. The lady at reception, I canโ€™t remember her name I think it was Veronica, she was so kind and made me smile after a long dreadful day. There was a gentleman, I canโ€™t remember his name either(sorry) that helped me with my bags because I had my hands full and he accompanied me to my room with my suitcase. Overall my experience and stay was amazingโค๏ธ

Room and location wise is nice. I think the restaurant staffs can make more effort to be more smiley and improve on their courtesy. Overall the stay is pleasant.

I recently stayed at the Garden Court as part of my birthday celebration, and I escaped load-shedding at home. The hotel has a lovely modern feel that is comfortable and calm. The rooms are comfortable and clean. My assigned room had a view over the Gallows Traffic Office and the main road, which caused a bit of noise when I opened the double-glazed windows. The air conditioning unit in the room didn't cool the room and was louder than the outside traffic. The hotel pillows are also very soft, but this is a general complaint I have about most hotels because I prefer hard pillows. Other than the air conditioning unit and pillows, the hotel is lovely.

Simply put, nothing short of amazing, staff is super friendly and really accommodating. No matter where you go, you are greeted with a "mask smile." You can't see the actual smile, but you can see when they are talking to you; even the food was amazing!

I AM AMAZED!! I am beyond gobsmacked with what this place has to offer. The first day that we arrived, we were greeted with open arms and a very warm welcome. Staff was super accommodating and friendly. Definitely the place to be in the heart of Cape Town!!!

Great ambience and stylishly decorated. Conveniently situated close to the V&A Waterfront. Staff were professional and very helpful. Their calamari, lamb chops and mushrooms were perfect. Will definitely book again in the near future.

This is as good as it gets with a Protea Hotel. The breakfast is very limited, however there is a good place to eat that offers super healthy food just around the corner and it's super close to the waterfront and Cubana if you are looking for a night out.

The hallways and rooms are designed to resemble a construction site (you see exposed bricks and what look like I-beams). It might seem like an odd thing to say but they managed to pull it off brilliantly and it gives the place a very unique look.

The staff at the Garden Court Victoria junction are amazing. They are so friendly and this extends to everyone- from Ignatius and team at reception, to the door and security staff and the restaurant staff. Service with a smile and they are always willing to assist. They are gems that make the stay remarkable. Rooms are clean and spacious. The only small downside are the noisy aircon units (they are old type aircons). Other than this there is nothing to fault the hotel on. I look forward to staying here again.

Good room and nice stay. Complimentary breakfast is exactly what you would expect from such a nice hotel. Great service delivery and friendly contact from staff.

Air-conditioning in the rooms needs to be replaced. old badly maintained. keeps freezing up. Some advice for the hotel.. aircons should be installed as closed to the ceiling as possible.. this way you font have hot and cold air pockets and the aircons will use less power as they are more efficient.

Hotel was very clean and the staff was great. The free breakfast was good and included hot breakfast and an egg station. They also had a vegetarian option every morning for breakfast and if you ask the egg cook they have plant based sausage in the back for vegans. Great location, walking distance from the waterfront and 15 min Uber ride from Table Mountain.

I am blown away from my experience! Incredible service from the staff, amazing rooms, amazing complimentary breakfast, as well as brilliant security. Thank you so much to the entire team! Including the security at the boom gate. Their encounter and friendliness started my experience on a very high note.

Everything about our stay was flawless. Exceptional staff, cleanliness, breakfast, rooms and location. Ignatius even surprised my girlfriend with cake on her birthday. Our stay in Cape Town couldn't have been better, and we look forward to our next visit to this wonderful hotel. Thank you!

A great place to stay when in CT. Different to what is normally on offer from Southern Sun but even though it is different it is very nice and comfortable. We'll located and in close proximity to many shops and the Cape Town Stadium is just a stones throw away. The rooms are amazing and j look forward to staying there myself soon. I will be making my booking very soon and look forward to experiencing a loft unit. Till then stay safe.

My wife and I stayed at the hotel for a week. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. The rooms were clean and there was a good breakfast selection. The front desk made a daily call to check in with us during our stay.

Excellent and professional service from staff. Everyone was so helpful. The rooms were nice and neat. I could even indulge in a late night cuppacino... The breakfast buffet also excellent! I would however suggest they look at the room aircons. It's quite noisy and offer no climate control. But very impressed none the less.
