Wow, and more wow! This is a breathtaking hidden gem in Cape Town. It's secluded, secure, and surrounded by lush foliage and fora. A must for any family picnic, day out, quiet walk, or any need to get away, get out and relax. There's a serene river running through, countless benches, a toilet facility, seating areas and tables. A well maintained area, full of wild life, from many birds to tadpoles. Highly recommended!

Quiet, calm and fun for the little ones. There are more than enough picnic tables along the river where you can relax and watch the kiddies try to catch tadpoles and crabs. No entrance fee is the price i like when it comes to these kind of parks. Parking is limited along the street so go early and pack a mosquito repellent. Don't litter and keep this little spot as unspoilt as it is today.

Beautiful secret garden in the middle of Cape Town. Wonderfully maintained with bubbling streams and abundant birdlife.

A little piece of heaven maintained by neighbours. This little park/garden is right on the river bank. Take your shoes off and wet your feet. You can even have a picnic party with the on site pic nic spots. The entire space is shaded with some nice spots where the sun hits just right. Highly recommended.

I dare not tell anyone about this park because it's simply awesome. Well manicured and taken care of with a little stream that you walk over (so not suitable for wheelchairs) and plenty of benches and places to sit. A lovely secret park with an interesting paddle stream to keep kids distracted for hours. It's really a fantastic place and I am ambivalent about reviewing it. I would certainly plan to come back here numerous times.

Such a beautiful haven in the midst of Fernwood. Beautiful gardens, picnic spots and quaint areas. Enioy time at the river finding crabs and other fishy creatures or sit in the shade while enjoying a refreshment. Parking is close by. Make a donation via Snapscan for the use of the picnic spots and general upkeep

Nice, clean park. Some people are friendly. Not too big a park, so it can get full. But a nice Sunday afternoon spot.

If you hav never visited this magical park, then you have been missing out of a treat. It is absolutely beautiful and well cared for with love. There are tables with tree stumps at various places adjacent to the river as it meanders along. Picnics, birthday celebrations ..definitely the place to go. A donation towards the upkeep is greatly appreciated.

Great place for families. Spotless and well maintained. Most families picnicking with small kids as we were. Dogs on leads permitted. Lovely pebbly stream for kids to play in.

What a lovely little spot hidden away just off the M3. It's beautiful and so well maintained. The kids love it and so do the dogs.

Very pretty park. Nicely looked after by the community and kept safe by the neighbourhood watch. Gets busy with large families and lots of children on weekends though so sometimes can be a bit noisy. Otherwise, very calm and green.
