Cavendish Square is my Third Favorite Shopping Mall and it looks Futuristic and it’s upgrading into a new design with new floors, new stores coming out and the lifts have talking voices, just like they did with Siri. I absolutely love this and I will recommend going there!

This mall is located in one of the busiest streets and its quite a nightmare getting past all the taxis. Luckily they do have under cover parking so that helps so much. It has a large variety of stores from you regular run of the mill stores such as Pic n Pay and Truworths to more upmarket and expensive shops such as Aldo. The mall while being beautiful, is not in the same league of Canal Walk or the Waterfront. aesthetically it is beautiful but not outstanding. It does offer a great service though. The staff is amazing and the mall is spotlessly clean at all times. I do wish that there was signage telling us where certain shops can be located. As the mall is massive it can get tedious trying to find a particular shop. The mall has an amazing food court. Not very big, but a nice assortment of eateries to choose from. We especially go to Cavendish Square for its prawn curry and rotis. Simply the best👌

Cavendish square is still offers a decent shopping experience with a wide variety of retail stores and notable fashion brands. Currently undergoing a few renovations but there plenty of room for improvement etc.

We visited Cavendish specifically to have lunch at It was an absolute treat. The pizza was nice and thin and crispy melt in the mouth. Let's not talk about the pasta is was pure deliciousness. The service was great the wait on the food was minimal and the service was excellent. Overall Cavendish is amazing and the businesses within the mall is top notch. Never had a bad experience over the last several years visiting the mall.

Very nice place to do your shopping the parking is a bit confusing but over time you get use to it. The service is very good and the security is very helpful. The mall can get very busy. Advise to go early in the mornings. otherwise very nice place to do your shopping.

Ample safe parking, great selection of stores. Small enough to walk throughout but enough variety to get what you need. Nice food options as well, and prestige cinema is a must try!!

After more than 25 years I visited Cavendish Square during my holiday in Cape Town. I literally grew up in Claremont cause back in the days my father worked as a parking attendant. Through my schooling and university I worked at Stuttafords to supplement my income in paying for my studies. Today, returning back, I found the mall developed into a monastery with new modernized buildings, breathtaking shops and even toilets with sensors toilet doors. Eventhough, the mall developed for the better I could find certain structural resembled futures still existing eg car park and the escalators. The mall grew in size and retail shops. The mall is mammoth and requires a tour, on its own, but I did find shopping experience most pleasurable. The variety of shops left me in awe. For now, I fancy 2 shops I found most delightful to visit and indulging. Parking appeared a challenge but I guess taking into account the variety of customer attractions it will remain a thorn. Can't wait for my next visit. Lastly, the xmas tree in the centre of the mall remains the highlight. Limnos Bakery, Fabiani and the Poetry shop I consider worthy to visit again, next year.

Got my hair cut done at Edge by Brandon in the photo (highly talented at his craft) and absolutely loved how they made each and every person feel welcomed. Great bunch that work there. From the moment I walked in they all had smiles on their faces. They help me immediately even tho I had not booked. It is a little pricey but for the experience I can highly recommend this place for a great hair cut plus and good cup of coffee.

It's a beautiful shopping mall with a selection of great stores. It has conventional stores like Pnp and banks but also has many speciality stores like Aldo and Pandora. What I enjoyed most is that it was not so busy, a nice mix of people doing their thing. The mall has lifts, escalators and stairs that offer options when wanting to go from one place to another. Mall security staff are friendly and helpful. The only thing I didn't notice, which I may have missed, is signage for store locations so it may be confusing when looking for a store you have not been to. Beautiful layout, clean and a variety of stores, definitely worth a visit

Great shopping experience. Various great places to visit. From bookshops, pharmacies and so much more. Wanted to have a snack before watching a movie. Went to Mexican Tortilla and was very disappointed with service and their quality of food. I give them a 1 star rating. But Cavendish I give a 5 star

Nice mall, but parking is a nightmare on weekends. They have green/red light indicators to show if parking space is available. But, these don't work properly, so they might show a false green. Also, the exit signs are not well place. You barely see them.

Great mall with all sorts of stores open until 7pm in the week. Very likely there is something of interest for everyone inside, if not around the mall too. Plenty parking. However the mall is situated in a central area, and since it has so much to offer, it can get very busy - especially on pay day weekend, then there is likely no availabile parking. But the mall is lovely.

Cavendish Square is one of the best shopping malls in Cape Town from my experience of having gone there for years, and seen it transform into its current chique look. It has a spacious layout, with plenty of natural light and ventilation that is so esthetically pleasing. The mall is clean and well-maintained, with modern facilities and amenities. The public toilets are spotless and accessible, with baby changing stations and wheelchair-friendly stalls. The parking is convenient and secure, with ample space and reasonable rates. The security is efficient and professional, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for shoppers. Cavendish Square offers a variety of stores, restaurants, entertainment options and services, catering to different tastes and needs. Whether I'm looking for fashion, food, fun or convenience, I will find it at Cavendish Square. It is a great place to spend a day with family or friends, or just to treat yourself to some retail therapy. I love Cavendish Square and I always enjoy visiting it!

For such a busy mall would great if parking for the first 30 min - hour could be lower rate or even free perhaps. Enjoy the variety of stores. It feels like there's limited restrooms, therfore the 1 closest to food court is always really busy. The food court use to be the IT place years ago, now variety is 5/10. And also always messy. A bigger food court would be nice or at least more spacious

Cavendish is beautiful inside. Plenty of variety going around. Best visit in years, especially with Starbucks there although there was renovation going on,, that didn't hinder our visit through the mall

I drove all the way from Strand to Cavendish Square looking for the Afro/braids/dreadlocks swimming cap. It was worth the drive. It's big and comfortable I can swim without worrying about my big hair. Also went to the fine fragrances collection stand opposite @home, they sell generic perfumes which smell exactly like the originals and last so long. I've been getting a lot of compliments about my scent lately

There is an incredible range here but as I am not a regular at the mall. I find it very confusing and bitty. The parking is also a nightmare to navigate. Especially when it is busy. I'm sure if I was more regular it would become easier but for a first timer. Be ready to ask for assistance finding stores.

Good location just off the main road in Claremont. Well-known shopping mall close to Newlands. Several high-end stores to choose from and come with high street shopping in Vineyard Street also. Ample parking space is available within several parking garages as well as paid for on-street parking in and around the area. Shopping Centre is well maintained and supported by friendly staff who will help to make sure you have an unforgettable shopping experience.

I quite enjoy Cavendish Square. It is a good sized mall with a great variety of stores. Some of my favourite ones are Woolies, Exclusive Books and @Home (kitchen). Stop by Seattle Coffee for a drink and begin enjoying your latest purchase from Exclusive Books.

What a unique mall, you drive into the parking garage and then take the elevator to you destination place in the mall. A place for family fun and meeting up with friends. Get your shopping including groceries done and drive right out!

A lovely establishment really, a pretty well designed mall that's compact in size but still feels huge. The inclusion of the different floors with traffic being in the center really works well here. The store selection is decent it's an all purpose mall, it does everything well but doesn't excel in anything particular. It's a place I go in and out of never really staying but that's all you need from it really.

Cavendish is a really great mall in the southern suburbs - I would watch out if you are used to keeping things in your pockets rather keep everything in a closed bag. Too many people get pick-pocketed in & outside of Cavs. Good shops, but they run out of stock more than waterfront & canal walk, so keep that in mind - Cavs is better for quick shopping trips.

The layout may be disorientating at first but easy once you quickly get to know it. Many great shops and it's very tidy. A number of food options in a well laid out food court. A great shopping experience

It'd be a 5, 'cause I love Cavendish but they should put maps on each entrance and level to make it easier to find your way around.

Had lunch at Mugg&Bean yesterday. Awesome service from Jordan, really! A shout out to the manager Byron who is always respectful and helpful... Checked on all the customers and the place was busy. Food really delicious albeit an adapted Covid-19 menu. Thank so much!

Varied shops. Ample parking but you may need to head up a few floors to get to it. The layout can be troublesome for some but overall a well maintained, clean and friendly place to get pretty much all of your shopping done

Best shopping centre in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town! Boutique shopping with a charm that feels like home.

  • 1/5 Nathirah B. 1 year ago on Google
I've never had a worse experience at a shopping mall. Firstly parking is so limited yet costs a fortune. Then during load shedding the lifts and escalators do not work, and many of the stores close their tills, so half the customers all leave at once by walking up the escalators while the elderly and wheelchair bound are basically trapped inside!

It is a big mall that thinks it's more boutique than it is. Good if you are clothes shopping and hitting up woollies on the way. Otherwise it's a bit of a mess of overpriced Apple stores, empty jewelery stores and a parking nightmare. There's no Game, no Checkers, no furniture shops, no discount hunting, no liquor store and no nice restaurants that aren't part of soulless chains. Kenilworth Centre, round the corner, is better.

An old favourite of mine… When I was a teenager, my friends and I used to spend our Friday nights or Saturdays here… There’s a wide variety of shops to browse, a food court, and even a movie theatre upstairs! (There’s something fun about going up the escalators to the movies, knowing the sole purpose of going up there is to catch one of the latest flicks! An experience in and of itself, honestly. Pure nostalgia for me, at least.) Cavendish is certainly worth checking out if you’re in the Claremont area!

  • 5/5 Elsa V. 1 year ago on Google
I love this mall. Enough parking and spacious hallways between shops. The parking is on the more expensive side. The layout might be a bit confusing to first-time shoppers at the mall but luckily the information desk is very helpful. They have a great variety of shops, you will definitely find what you need here. Fun fact: They also have a movie theater.

  • 5/5 Jutta H. 3 years ago on Google
Mall is quieter due to pandemic, easy access, an absolute please.

  • 3/5 George M. 1 year ago on Google
It used to be better, less cater for an unrealistic clientele and more variety of interesting shops, which catches your eye/interest. The eateries have also gone down, definitely not getting what you pay for. Cannot believe I used to stay there for hours and now I want to leave as soon as I arrive.
