Lovely lunch spot, pet friendly, awesome services. I enjoyed my fish, it was a bit more on the tempura sort of taste than traditional fish and chips kinda taste, but not bad. I would have preferred lesser chips and more salad, because the salad was pretty good! My friend had the mussels and she had a few complications on its taste. But that was quickly sorted for her by our waiter. I must add that her mussels were a starter portion - pretty huge!!! I would recommend Sotano for a chilled lunch. 👌🙌

We love stopping at Sontano for sundowners and dinner, whether the weather is hot, or whether the weather be cold! I also love that Sotano is pet friendly. Generally we have their burgers and seafood pasta, but this evening we tried the chicken Caesar salad and Mussels main. Sotano's food has always been tasty and well prepared. We will continue to come back regularly!

The paella looked beautiful but was bland. The server who greeted and sat me was friendly. The server who waited on me didn’t have the time of day for me. She dropped the paella and didn’t come back once. The table next to me was enjoying wine and she was at their table at least every 5 minutes checking on them.

Looking out over the ocean with the sun setting, it’s the perfect setting for an exquisite and romantic dinner. Food tasty and staff supper efficient. Love this place will definitely be back. 👌👌👌

What a amazing place. Welcomed by awesome staff. Amazing Sushi ,loved the white ginger. Great presentation. When ever we go out my son never finishes his food . But today he had everything. He had the calamari fried with chips. Live music to top it off. Thanks for a great afternoon.

Always a cool go to place to go for good food and drinks. Chilled spot for sunset too! (Try phone for a booking, someone’s busy but also someone’s way to walk in) They make really good halloumi burgers which aren’t on the menu.

Ossobuco soup and paella in the photo was really good! Highly recommended. Location and service is great (but it can drink in the general area, due to sewage outlet into the sea when the wind blows onshore). It is always a comfortable and casual vibe there, but nice and feel good.

If you love non-existent service, incorrect orders and cold food, this is the place for you. They do NOT COMPLY to COVID laws. No sign-in taken, no temperature taken, no hand wash given.

Terrible service. Not enough waiters and they got a couple of tables' order incorrect. Also not very concerned about covid sanitation of guests ir tables. But it has nice decor and good location.

Love this place. Staff always make a plan to seat you. Good variety of food at great prices. Also excellent coffee good position with a nice view . Often go there as the atmosphere is relaxing and service good.

One of my favorite spots until recently. We ordered our drinks which took forever to arrive. There were only a few tables occupied and the service was pathetic. We then waited for approximately 30mins for our waitron to return and after not seeing him again, I went inside to settle our drinks bill and left. Will definitely not be back.

Was at Sotano Restaurant on Monday placed a food order took over an hour for my food to arrive wich it did not come. The manager on shift did not touch tables or come to my table to apologize that the restaurant is busy when it is not. As far as I know a restaurant manager should do check up's on the guest's none what so ever. Asked for my bill as the food did not arrive as I paid for my drinks and left very bad.

Great service and really great food. The food portions are really satisfying with high quality products. Very affordable. Really enjoyed it there and will definitely return.

One of the most dog-friendly places we have visited! We all had a great time, even our furry friend. Oh, and don't forget to try the mouth-watering tomahawk steak next time! 😋

Funky vibes and beautiful views. The service was a bit slow, but they were very friendly and the food was excellent. Thanks for a lovely experience. A quick walk over the road to the promenade makes for a great end to a perfect day.

6/10/2023 For early dinner, I thought maybe a burger. It was Friday and there was a nice buzz in the place. Ordered the lamb burger. The bread bun - oh my - STODGY and dry and so thick!!!!!!! The rest of the burger was nice, but that bun! Come on people, get it right! Also - where was the top bun??????????????????? Really!!!!!!!!! 5/10/2023 Had a very late lunch, very early dinner here today. Great service and what lovely decor!!!! Decided on Fish and Chips - bit pricey for R165 and not a huge portion .... was still hungry after that. Lovely location - perfect for when staying in La Splendida Hotel.

Awesome food, can really recommend the flatbread. Warm and cozy while it was a typical Cape Town evening outside. The service was friendly and fast. The setting is very well decorated.

Had both lunch and breakfast here last weekend.Staff were friendly and service good. We had the Mediterranean bread for lunchtime was tasty and nice and crisp. The eggs Benedict for breakfast,only point to mention is the toasted croissant was very toasted with black bits and my sift poached egg,(I had requested)was hard.

Sotano is one of my fav places to go for lunch between work. The food is amazing & the staff are friendly & polite. Nothing like a rock Shandy while enjoying the beautiful view. I also love that they allow furry friends

I haven't had a bad meal yet. Such great variety too. This is our favourite breakfast and sushi spot. The service is also amazing. Whether it's breakfast, lunch or dins you won't be disappointed.

The best Restaurant on beach road. Do your self a favour and make a turn. They make the best shushi in Cape Town.

Enjoyed it. The sun played a part in irritating me but it's not the locations fault as they accommodated as best as they could. Went for drinks... Was really nice.

One of the best chicken avo salads I've eaten in Cape Town..... but NON of their olive oil bottles have spouts, just an open top with no way to drizzle it over your salad.... basics guys!

Such wonderful service! Funny, familial, friendly - great food and WHAT a view! Only downside is the price, even a small beer is quite pricy (R35 if memory serves right) - but it is worth the location (beautiful sea view), lovely staff, and broad selection of food. And surprisingly cheap oysters too!

Lovely restaurant with beautiful views of the ocean. Great ambiance, friendly staff, and the food was of good quality except the rye toast which was rock hard and inedible. Definitely coming back, we've found a new favourite hangout spot.
