👍 An important space which ensures the history of colonisation and dispossession is preserved. Pity there aren’t more actual exhibits, but there is a lot of history to read. People often mention museum,

This little museum is really cute and special and now next to the new Denis Goldberg museum so it's a double delight.

I was here with our school choir " Chamber Choir" and we were singing with a lot of Kids, who are allowed to play/sing and tinker at this place. Because we are a choir we were singing for and with them and they also sang for us. The location is sooo beautiful and pretty modern. Thanks for this nice cooperation!

A charming village museum focusing on hout bays picturesque past as a fishing and agricultural community. An exciting project for the future was also on display - Dennis Goldberg a struggle hero who stood on trial with Mandela plans to exhibit his art collection at this venue.

The Houtbay museum is quaint but informative about major topics concerning the bay's history. Well worth the visit! Took me an hour to go through and to read everything and pay close attention to images, etc. It's a read it yourself type, didn't have any commentary.

Small museum about the original people of Southern Africa, that seems to be conveniently forgotten about.

Great compact historic Museum that showcases the history of Houtbay. Great mini tour by the experienced Iziko Museum staff. Located on the same property as the Denis Goldberg House of hope.

Was closed. Not much going on there except we could at least use the facilities

A modest quiet museum, with some well displayed artifacts. Very disappointed the beautiful indigenously useful fynbos garden with practical and medicinal uses posted with each plant plus name and botanical reference is not anything like it was ? personally i found it very informative and with each visit quiet eager to discover some more!

It it Friday 4 Jan 19. According to the internet info the museum should be open. It is 10:55. I am standing infront of the gate to the museum and it is closed. I called and the phone just kept on ringing.
