Our home in Kraaifontein was flooded and, in order for the flood restoration process to take its course, we were given the order to evacuate the house for 2 months or more, my brother and I, with two dogs. When scouting for pet-friendly, self-catering accommodation close to home, Rondekuil Estates stood out by far as the most pet-friendly accommodation available. When I phoned for a quote, I was told that accommodation was not available for 3 nights during the period I sought accommodation for. I accepted still, offering to stay with family for those 3 nights. From there on, the assistance afforded us to cause least inconvenience over those 3 nights is highly commendable. We were permitted to store the bulk of our belongings in one of the rooms at Leeulaagte 2, our first stop, a most delightful, quaint 2 bedroom cottage with practical kitchen/ dining area and en suite bathrooms for each room. A braai and pool area, neat lawns and large pond completed an all-round pleasant country experience. I even entertained my daughters with their family/ friend to a braai and scenic walk, including a view of the most beautiful young cattle I have ever seen and a lot of beautiful bird life. For the other 2 problem nights, we were offered a batchelor apartment which they changed a bit to suit our needs and here we were pretty comfortable too. We are now at our last stop for the nect 2 months, i.e. The Old Farmhouse 1, section of a massive house, offering very large bedrooms (2), a lounge, dining room, huge bathroom and enormous kitchen. In front we have a nice enclosed, well-kept garden and at the back a huge enclosed lawn for the dogs to run around in. This accommodation, with its splendid views, sights to see and comfortable lodgings has contributed immensely to alleviating the stress of dealing with a flooded home. The 5km walks every evening with our dogs is also beneficial to them and us and, I have to admit that it will be with great sadness that we will leave these serene surroundings to move back into our restored city home when that day comes. I can recommend this accommodation to anyone (especially pet owners), who need to break away and just chill. I love this place and the pleasant, accommodating team that bend overbackwards to make our stay enjoyable.

This is a very peacefull place. It is about 30min drive so it is not close to the city. Here are no highways closeby so no traffic noise. This is a farm, very quiet and dark. The rooms are cosy and the staff is friendly and helpfull. You might encounter one of natures children on the grounds or in your room, but there will be help to remove them. Very nice place to stay at or have n conference.

Just returned from rondekuil cottages.... The cottages are badly in need of repair...windowframes...door locks ..doors and lighting unacceptable.... Pricing..unreasonable.. considering one is also 35km from capetown . Lovely setting .but we don't recommend [the cottages ] at all.. also no extra lighting supplied when the power is off...

The stay was excellent πŸ‘ŒπŸ½ only wish I came more prepared for the fresh water to bring along and the summer farm flies. Other than that we enjoyed ourselves fully.

The service is super, the management is exceptionally friendly and the workers are also friendly and very helpful. The rooms are clean, tidy and quiet. The place is rural, however, lovely for a good rest. I will book them over and over again.

If you are hosting a wedding, please ensure the windows are clean and that the food is served hot. We received a plated starter before the buffet opened. I have never eaten anything as bizarre as cheese grillers cut up with chicken nuggets topped with honey mustard on a bed of lettuce, tomato and onion, served ice cold! Revolting! The buffet food was good but not hot and the pumpkin fritters were served cold.... Nice venue that needs serious attention to detail.

Moving house and in the interim had to find emergency accommodation that allows pets as well. Absolutely fantastic long-term stay with my pets. Enclosed outside area, clean and peaceful farm experience. They accommodated me with all requests and also special circumstances. I highly recommend this accommodation. Absolutely a pleasure to deal with Jo and Richard. Thank you. You made a difference in my time of crisis.

My fiance and I randomly stopped by to see if this could be our potential wedding venue. Joan was so friendly and helpful in showing us around and accommodating us with no prior booking. Fantastic service and amazing venue. We might just be getting married here 😁😁😁

Great getaway place. On a farm. Out in the open. Close to nature and farm life. Self catering accommodation just right. Very very relaxing . Go there!

We have used Rondekuil as our base on numerous occasions while visiting Cape Town. We recently stayed in the newly available Valley House for 2 weeks. Its was absolutely perfect and everything we hoped for! The house is massive and secluded being on the edge of the property. The garden is beautifully well kept with the softest grass I've ever felt. There is a fence that surrounds the yard which was great to contain our kids. The evenings and sunsets were breathtaking from the long veranda which has a panoramic view of the hillside and vally below. If you are looking for a relaxing, peaceful family retreat then Valley House is for you.

Jo and her team are such a pleasure to work with. The venue is beautiful. The setup awesome and the setting great. Out in the country but still close by. Was a pleasure once again to have married another couple here. Can wait for the next.

Stayed at Rondekuil for two months when I moved to Cape Town and it was honestly two lovely month. The owners are so helpful and friendly. Accommodation is so cozy, it's neat and tidy and has such a homily feel to it. Would definitely recommend it to anyone coming to CT.
