Lost earring after their service!! I brought my perfectly fine earrings into the Shimansky factory for checkup, which is asked to be done every year. After getting them back I lost one earring! I suppose while servicing the closure butterfly got loose. Shimansky does not accept their responsibility. After wearing the earrings for 3 years day in day out nothing ever happened. As soon as they were in the hands of the factory I lose one earring. But OF COURSE it is my fault!! And since I am such a valued customer they offer me that I buy a new earring (for the same price I had paid before - how generous!) Never ever buying one thing from them again!!

I would like to personally thank David, Mr. Shimansky in making my partner's and my dream come true in such a short space of time due to some miscommunication and time constraints. Please see the photos below of the place and the people you made fall in love more than they already are 🥰💍

Today we went to the Diamond museum, Shimansk. Our tour guide, Carmen was amazing. She gave us detailed history of the Diamond and introduced us to so much that we did not know. She was very pleasant, professional, knowledgeable and just all around sweet. It was a pleasure to meet Carmen. We also ran into a social Media friend, Marlene. It was a joy to meet her in person.

Shimansky has always been my favorite jewelry store. The ambience and sophistication at the Waterfront store is just so inviting. My greatest experience was when I met Sharmie Abrahams. The most amazing, selfless, professional and beautiful person/consultant. She welcomed me everytime I visited the store and always pampered me with drinks and chocolates, and encouraged me to purchase my dream ring. I finally bought my ring and Sharmie was the inspiration behind this experience. In fact all the staff are welcoming and thanks to all. Mr. Shimansky designed my wedding/engagement ring almost 26 years ago and my hubby spoilt me over the years with special pieces of jewelry from the store. I feel proud to wear the brand. Thanks again Sharmie. You are a shining star and a gem at Shimansky V&A Waterfront.

Our tour guide, Constantina Messaris was the kindest most knowledgeable person. She has a passion that goes unmatched. She made us feel welcome and shared with us her wealth of information. If you ever visit Cape Town add this to your itinerary. You will not be disappointed. She is the most beautiful person and a fast friend.

We visited the Shimansky store for a tour of the diamond museum as our last venture before heading back to Joburg and it truly was a worthwhile experience. Our tour guide was Tanya Coetzee who was very informative and personable. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who is even remotely intrigued in the history of diamonds to understand them now modernly aswell. Very good experience, it will be worth our time and money and if you have the chance ask for Tanya as your guide!

On April 2nd, at the shopping center in Cape Town, I bought jewelry at the Shimansky salon. During the purchase, I was assured that I would be able to reclaim the TAX at the airport. At the airport, I was informed that a few days ago the regulations had changed and the procedure for reclaiming VAT tax was now online. After returning to Europe, I repeatedly tried to contact Shimansky company through their website and FB, and I was assured that a consultant would contact me and explain the matter. So far, no one has contacted me and no one has helped me to recover the TAX. Arkadiusz Marczuk.

Came for the Diamond tour and loved it. We learned a lot about the Diamond history of South Africa. Nadya was awsome at guiding us through the tour and is very knowledgeable about the Diamond history and presented the tour perfectly. The showroom is beautiful and Nadya showed us all their different gem shapes and cuts. We decided to return 2 days later and buy a Table mountain ring (Shimansky's unique design) to remember the trip to Cape Town. Johan helped us with this and went out of his way to find what we needed. Next on the list is a Dancing Diamond.

I had the pleasure of being helped by Chad Le Bron, who made the entire process of choosing the perfect engagement ring easy and without any issues. He made me feel very welcomed and explained everything that I needed to know about choosing an engagement ring, which I am extremely grateful for. I had been to a few other shops before going into Shimansky, and as soon as I saw the rings they had on offer, it was clear that they were in an entirely different league. I took my partner in to see the rings and we were both hooked. After purchasing the ring and seeing it for myself in natural light, I can confirm that it looks equally as amazing as it did in store!

My boyfriend and I took a guided tour of the diamond store and museum during our vacation in Cape Town. The experience was one of our favorites from the vacation! My close friend and I wanted to mark our 60th year and The Year of The Dog in which we were born. What better way than to buy a diamond - also the gemstone to celebrate 60 years. We went to Shimansky at The V&A Waterfront in Cape Town. We both left with the diamonds of our choice having been helped by the most charming and knowledgeable assistants. Four weeks on and I love my diamond. Thank you girls for making our experience a memorable one.

I was enthusiastically assisted by Carmen, being introduced to the discovery of Diamond and the subsequent Diamond Rush in Kimberley, as well as how this company was found. I’ve had a lovely time and the museum as well as the showroom is definitely very worthwhile as a tourist in Cape Town.

What an amazing experience! Apart from the exquisite Shimansky jewellery pieces I must say I was totally blown away from the moment I entered. From the diamond that follows you as you enter the door - to the very insightful information in the Cape Town Diamond Museum (including the little photo op in an actual size mine shaft) to the amazing showroom. It was a total diamond experience and I recommend it to everyone - young and old!
