Somewhat snobbish salespeople whose service levels depends on which part of the globe you are from. Lack of enthusiasm from staff means customers are left to feel not valued. As a global citizen, I have experienced far better service in Asia and the Middle East. So if you are European and appear wealthy, maybe this is the place for you then. For everyone else, be prepared for a underwhelming experience that makes you question if your money is really worth spending at a place where the security personnel seems to be the friendliest amongst the staff.

Found the sales ladies to be snobbish. Have been there 3 times since December 2020 and have decided we won’t be returning to this store in the future. After sales service was non existent in our case - no follow up calls to say when my jewellery was ready for collection.

Terrible experience. I was referred by the jeweler at The Mount Nelson hotel where we stayed. We took an Uber to the Waterfront and went to Charles Grieg to buy a men's Breitling watch at about $4,000 to $5,000US. When we entered the store, we were greeted and shown to the showroom.. but then we were shooed back out of the showroom where the Breitling watches are displayed and told it was too crowded...there were two customers and a male salesperson in there. So we were offered a seat at a table to wait. After a minute or two, the friendly woman that greeted us called the male salesperson in again to look at several images I had saved on my phone of specific Breitling watches I was interested in. After briefly looking me up and down, in my khaki shorts and polo shirt and sneakers, he declared, "We don't have either of those....in fact, I don't even know if they are in production!" (Worth noting that TopWatch in Cape Town had each on hand). I replied that I was still interested in looking at other options. The man turned back dismissively and told me they didn't have any of the Breitlings with digital displays like that of the Evospace B55 I asked about. Worth noting Breitling has offered digital displays on watches like the B1 since the early 2000s. To describe the salesperson as condescending doesn't even begin to describe him. Obnoxious and arrogant come to mind as well. AVOID CHARLES GREIG would be my advice. What a waste of time stomping through the mall to receive that treatment. A waste of time on my last day in Cape Town. We walked out embarrassed at how I was treated.

Very grateful for excellent service and support for my ageing Rolex. A very helpful young man, sorry I neglected to ask his name, quickly and deftly, repaired the bracelet link in minutes. Maybe I am Old School but retailers who honour their products and their customers, even if they have not purchased recently are top of my list. Thank you Charles Greig jewellers

Had a fantastic experience buying my first Tudor from Björn. He was super communicative throughout the process, helped with any questions I had, dealt with the VAT refund paperwork, and gave me a great deal. The store has a great selection of new watches from a plethora of brands and everyone were super courteous. Will definitely come back on my next visit to Cape Town!

Snobs in suits! I’m a local Cape Townian and own several Rolex Sports Models as well as other Swiss brands. I always receive much more professional and friendlier service in Sandton and around the globe than at this particular store. Not worth my or your time or money quite frankly.

This family business is of the highest level I know. Their quality, hospitality, professionalism, sincerity and accessibility are second to none. I have been in contact since 2018 and without exception it has always been a pleasure. The store is an oasis of calm with a beautiful collection of watches and jewelry, combined with the authenticity of Cape Town and its surroundings. Came in this classy boutique looking for a Panerai for the 50th birthday of my father in law. I was assisted/advised by Roberto who is a very professional and kind salesman. He has a true passion for watches which we shared and after a nice conversation he put away a Panerai for me which seemed like the perfect gift. 2 days later I came in the boutique and was assisted by Björn. Björn assisted my when I made up my mind and decided to buy the Panerai. He is very kind and he is also a true professional salesman (as well as watchmaker ) ;) Also loving the story behind this boutique and the selection of fine jewellery and timepieces. A true family business with it's roots in South-Africa. Will definitely visit again when I am back in Cape Town for vacation or business! Truly recommend!

Best service and friendly staff

If you're into high end watches then you will love this place. They stock Jaeger-LeCoultre, Cartier, IWC, Rolex, Longines, Breitling and Panerai. The staff are also very helpful and knowledgeable about their products. A lot of watch shops don't have staff that know a lot about watches and it's nice to actually see people who really know what they are selling! I wish all luxury watch stores would train their staff properly. They also sell jewellery for the ladies.

Really disappointed with the way one lady treated me came for a Rolex was cut short while speaking "no sports models" not friendly at all
