Sandy Bay is a nudist beach situated along the road between Cape Town to Cape Point and adjacent to Llandudno. Sandy Bay is not easily accessible. There are two ways to get the beach, one can clamber over the rocks from the car park at the southern end of Llandudno or take a 20-minute walk from the car park at the northern end of Hout Bay at. The car parks are rather small and parking is often insuffient - the only solution is getting there early or having to walk a little further. What a lovely beach!!! What a pleasant surprise!! Clean sand and secret!!! You have to 15-20 min to get to the beach. Easy walking path, in the nature, depending on where you want to lay down your towel. Besides the main beach (at the end), there are smaller coves and numerous spots (in the dunes or directly on the rocks) where you can enjoy the sun without having to worry about tan lines. The atmosphere is very peaceful. No hoots, no sound, no pollution, no ice cream sellers, no bars, surrounded by mountain from 03 sides ….. Only thing you can see in the front is Atlantic!!!! Remember this is a nudist friendly beach, NOT for the kids.

Sandy Bay is a nudist beach. It boasts stunning views and icy clear waters. Surrounded by miles of sand which stretches out to the parking bay, if you're not from the area, is quite a distance and a workout at the same time. Overall, it is a lovely experience as there are hiking trails that surround the beach as well.

Very nice and secluded beach. Take into account it takes 20min of hiking to get there. Also, the beach is popular among nudist.

Beautiful and quiet walk and main beach. Stunning views of the ocean crashing on the shore. Fauna and flora allows for exceptional photography. We even saw a Clawless Otter foraging for fish and clams. People were respectful and spaced far appart and the waves makes for exceptional surfing too. And you don't have to go nude to go there but if you do you wont be the only one that does.

Great , very strong winds but definitely the best place for gayguys like to be naked and laying in the sun. I know nakedbathing from Germany and then to find here a spot was really great!!! Don’t forget the suncream!!!

Nice beach with white sand, you need to earn it though, especially on the way back! The water is really cold (went in January). Make sure to have an embrela if you want to chill. Nudist and non-nudist friendly.

It was truly a wonderful beach to visit!! So clean, peaceful, picturesque, and serene. Just a few minutes there proved to be excellent for the soul, and I left the place feeling refreshed and ready to take on the rest of the day. The water is crystal clear, and the quico dip revitalized the soul.

A real natural beach - good waves - water seems me wärmer as other beaches - nice nested between the stones - beside - the villa village Liandudno is just the place to settle Form some relaxing days - the sunset will be perfect - just come back with the family - feels real save place

Beautiful view of the clear blue water, BUT it is a nudist beach and its not obvious for newcomers. Take care before going there on a “family trip”. You will be surprised by how many moons you will see in broad daylight… There’s more boulders and rocks than actual beach. The hiking trail is great though!

Quite a walk to get to the beach but worth it. The path is enjoyable with fynbos on either side. The views and nature surrounding it is amazing. Such a tranquil experience. The water is absolutely freezing. The beach is super clean and not overcrowded. Parking is an issue. If you don’t want to walk extra from your car to the path, I would uber. There is no bathroom on the beach, no vendors for refreshments and no shade. Take a cooler box with drinks and snacks as well as a gazebo if you plan on staying long. Be sure to throw your rubbish away!

Very secluded, beautiful beach. Just note it is a nudity friendly beach, and on our visit, there were a few interesting characters hanging around. Pretty hectic hike in and out of the beach, but this gives it the privacy it has.

Nudist Beach If you don't mind a light hike, 1 km / 3/4 mile then it will be worth your while. There are many old locals that enjoy the freedom of the beach. Make sure you take good sun screen with. Umbrella, shade or a strong anti tan product that is good on sensitive skin. Try and blend in as much as possible with the least possible clothing. Ps. The drive to the parking area has some steep slopes and the parking is limited.

Nice beach which is not easy to get there. Walking distance after parking like 14-20 min. Buuuut it worth it.... Beautiful view. No possibility to take a showe or leave your trash. At the parking area u can buy drinks and take a plastic bag for your litter.

Very beautiful and scenic. Well kept, tidy and safe. Beautiful walks along the seaside. Lovely viewpoints or spots to just sit and admire the vastness of the ocean. The crashing sounds of the waves are so calming, also makes a good spot for some meditation.

This is where I meditate and get perspective on whatever might be troubling my mind. The answer is most likely right there. It's a special piece of paradise (in my opinion anyway) ...a place where you can be at one with nature and feel free from any earthly possessions. Take your dogs for a wonderful walk all along the Sandy Bay, they will love you for it!

Very little people, great views, nice water, nice and isolated but yet enjoyable, even if you looking to get kinky, you can find your kimkyness there too but please be safe...

(Translated by Google) Beautiful natural beach. a bit out of the way, so never really crowded. You have to like natural beaches, but we do not stop cleaning up what's washed up. At the back of the beach is the gay beach with a subsequent cruising area. Here, however, is usually only on the weekend really something going on. Otherwise, Sandy Beach (as far as I know) is the only nudist beach in Cape Town. (Original) Schöner Naturstrand. etwas Abseits gelegen, daher nie wirklich voll.

Nudist Beach. Not for kids. Lots of people with dogs. Over all it is a great place, except when you don't know it is a nudist beach beforehand and you get the shock of your life 😂 about a 20 min hike to get there tho 😊

Trail: The trail towards the beach is moderately easy. However, coming back to the parking, it is very steep. Beach: The water is freezing cold, as is expected this side of the Cape. However, the atmosphere is really relaxing and you often see Seals swimming in the water.

Hesitant post ahead: Sandy bay is a mixed bag. It's v beautiful, v secluded, & if you're brave enough can be quite the European experience (naturist wise). At the same time, you'll find random single men wondering around, which I found slightly creepy. This lost a star. Hidden surf spot. About a 1km sand path walk. Nonetheless, a definite recommend.
