When I was last in Cape Town, I didn't go on a single hike. Shocking, considering there are so many great trails here. This time around I knew I wanted to hike to see the sunrise. Nick and I left at 5am for a hike up Lion's Head. With only a headlamp as our light, we set up the mountain. I do a bit of hiking at home but this hike was more challenging than what I'm used to, at times doing a bit of scrambling to get up the steep rocks. On the entire hike, Nick went at a pace that not only suited me but he also provided a plethora of information on the flora, fauna, and South Africa as a whole. When we began walking down the mountain, I couldn't believe I had hiked up all those rocks in the pitch black early morning! The views of Table Mountain, the sunrise, the clouds rolling in, the hike as a whole, and Nick's company are something I'll cherish forever. He also proceeded to take my mom and I on a short driving tour of Bo-Kaap, a little walking street art tour in Woodstock, shopping at the Old Biscuit Mill, and to the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden. His passion for the outdoors, knowledge of Cape Town, and experience hiking shine through. I recommend him highly, and hope to enjoy more hikes in Cape Town one day! THANK YOU, NICK!!

Nick is a wonderful guide, professional, personable and very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna. We did a 7 hour trek up the Apostles to Tranquility Cracks across and then down Disa Gorge. Great trip.

My group of 4 hiked the India Venster trail on Table Mountain with Nick last week and it was a truly remarkable and memorable experience! Our group was rather hungover and in a pretty hot early morning sun but Nick guided us up the very challenging trail while sharing many archeological, plant and animal life, history, and general Cape Town facts along the way. He is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and charming. He also dropped us off at one of his favorite outdoor restaurants nearby which set us for a lovely unplanned afternoon. Cannot recommend Cape Trekking enough! Thank you again Nick! - the Los Angeles gang on Feb 5th

We did the full day trip to the Cape Peninsula. It was great! Nick is an informative, engaging and relaxed guide and tailored the day perfectly for us. So glad we took the trip to such a beautiful place with such a good guide!

At the end of November, I had the opportunity to do a full day hike with Nick. As I had reached out to him (discovered by a simple Google search) a few weeks prior, we had enough time for him to suggest a more unique route through Disa Gorge, which required a special SA Parks permit. I am very glad for this recommendation from Nick, his organization, and what was a truly memorable hike. By the end of 8 h it was challenging (but I asked for it!), but well worth it. Nevertheless, we talked almost non-stop through the hike. Nick is knowledgable and passionate both of local Cape Town and South Africa, but also as a world traveller and adventurer in his own right.

I went hiking on the mountain and the experience was overwhelming and splendid. We also met a tour guide along the hike who was very friendly to confronted us on tips on how to climb the mountain

Nick was an absolute pleasure to hike with! He is very knowledgeable about Table Mountain and Cape Town/South Africa in general. It was raining and cloudy on the original route we planned to take and at the cable car station, but Nick knew of the perfect route up the other side of the mountain and ensured we had a memorable hike to start our trip. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a hiking guide!

I have had the absolute pleasure of hiking with Nick twice this year. First, in February when he guided a group of girlfriends over three days of varied treks on Table Mountain, Silvermine Nature Reserve and around the Cape of Good Hope; and again more recently in August when, seeing the physical capabilities of my 3 sons (I was definitely the weak link!) he guided us on an intense half day ascent up the Mountain via the Apostles, several beautiful waterfalls and Maclear’s Beacon. Nick is extremely thoughtful and keen to give you the best hiking experience, listening to your wishes and adjusting according to condition - of weather, surroundings - and participants! He is extraordinarily knowledgeable and exudes a quiet confidence, adventurous spirit, and care, which is lovely. My sons declared the half day hike with him as a highlight of our 2-week safari holiday not only because it got their heart rates really thumping, but, because he is so nice to spend time with, both interesting and interested in others. Having spent time trekking with Nick earlier in the year, I knew they would love it! We felt very lucky to get him and I hope to be back before too long. Thank you, Nick.

Nicholas is a very knowledgeable trail guide. Also very charismatic and interesting to chat with. This helps to pass the time more enjoyable given we had a nearly 8-hour hike covering over 18km ;-) Had some magnificent views and took some interesting trails. Highly recommended and will book again on our next trip to Cape Town.

We have just returned home from a fantastic two week holiday in the beautiful South Africa. One of our highlights was our trek up Table Mountain led by Nick. We found him online and we were delighted with our choice. Not only is he a really nice guy, but he’s extremely knowledgable and gave us lots of information on our surroundings as we climbed up on the Platteklip Gorge route. We are a family of 5 ranging from age 15 to 60 who are regular walkers and really enjoyed our hike, Nicks company and guidance and the amazing views from the top. We would highly recommend Nick if you are considering a guide to walk up Table Mountain.

Amazing hike! Nick is a great guide who took time to explore with us ahead of our hike what we were looking for and also checked in during the hike what we wanted to do. We had a wonderful experience of nature, walking a path away from the crowds.

Spent the day hiking with Nick on table mountain in rather rare conditions. Nick was both knowledgeable about the trail and the environment on the mountain. He was also a pleasure to have a general conversation about life. I felt safe, comfortable and really enjoyed the day! We ended the hike with a 2 baboon sighting up close and personal. A day I won’t forget. Helped make my time in Cape Town special. Would highly recommend!

We were recommended by a friend and it was a great choice. We had a lovely hike with Nick in the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. We changed our plans about what we wanted to do and Nick was very accommodating . The hike was perfectly tailored to us . Thanks Nick. Highly recommended.
