I had an incredible experience at this Jiu-Jitsu gym! The atmosphere is filled with an amazing friendly vibe that makes you feel right at home. The variety of classes available caters to everyone, from kids to beginners and even experts. The main instructor, Kurdt George, is a highly skilled Black belt under the tutelage of legendary figures like John Danaher and Renzo Gracie. The gym itself is well-equipped, offering everything you need for a satisfying workout. Additionally, they have a convenient coffee station to keep you energized throughout your training sessions. On top of Jiu-Jitsu classes, they also provide Muay Thai classes, ensuring a well-rounded martial arts experience. Overall, I highly recommend this gym to anyone interested in Jiu-Jitsu or looking to improve their skills. The friendly environment, excellent instruction, and additional amenities make it a top-notch choice.

Great gym, great people and an incredible kids program

I’ve been coming to this academy for the last four years when on holiday in Cape Town and always had the warmest welcome. Kurdt George is a black belt under John Danaher and runs a fantastic academy with a group of extremely talented athletes. Evening classes last around 90 minutes of which 30 minutes are dedicated to sparring. There are also early morning as well as lunch time classes. The academy also offers a Muay Thai program. If you train BJJ and are in Cape Town, don’t miss out on training there.

World class facilities and the best place in Cape Town to train Jiu Jitsu! Incredible coaches and a place that I consider home.

This academy begins with a great introduction to jui jitsu. It's mats offer training for all levels in gi and no gi , which challenge anyone who would like to learn or develop there skill.

This place has literally changed my life (and my jiu jitsu game) the staff is amazing. The coaches are extremely patient and very high level but they “dumb it down” perfectly. My teammates became my best homies.

Simple dojo, 3 large mats, coffee and snack bar. I go there for Cape Town Aikido which is a group with a lovely style, led by Craig and a large group of senior yudansha.

Great place to learn martial arts

I visited Renzo Gracie CT during my holiday. Although i wasn’t able to fit a proper class in, I managed to find 30 minutes to visit and watch/learn from the coaches. Everyone there were super friendly and made me feel very welcome. The facilities were great and hopefully I have more time next time in CT to train here properly.

I spent one year on German tax money in Cape Town to acquire a postgraduate art degree, yet wrestling with sweat drenched people every day at 11am somehow still managed to top that experience and makes me sad that at 34 I cannot exchange my artist's career for a full time Jiujitsu life. 💋
