You can smell the coffee roasting from the street and it pulls you into the shop. They are dog friendly which is convenient. I was a bit disappointed with the quality of coffee. The black americano had no crema and was really burnt. The cheese cake was good, but the crust was extremely soggy. The range of coffee beans to take away is amazing. You know the beans are freshly roasted and fragrant.

Tranquil. Simplistic yet very much an eloquent coffee story, beautiful, rustic and ran by the most sweetest lady. Inside the coffee shop, it feels like you are not in this era. The pastries are too good to even describe, the coffee is strong. Amazing place to get coffee.

Amazing coffee! This place must be one of the best coffee houses in south africa. I loved the decor. I love the passion of the barista working there. No doubt a "must visit" when in houtbay

Definitely not what I expected when I googled the place. If you into the rustic vibe with the surroundings looking like a house with scraps in the yard then okay. The drinks were and biscuits were good. But nothing really to rave about. I think the look of the place just wasn’t for me and my family but otherwise a good coffee shop Maybe won’t be in a hurry to go again

Freshly roasted beans, brews and desserts! Cute, tranquil café along the stream in Hout Bay, perfect for a coffee date & all-day cuppa. I enjoyed their cold brew and flat white; will definitely be back!

A wonderful, tranquil place to enjoy a quiet cup of coffee with a wonderful variety of cakes and savory items. Paul roasts and sorts his coffee himself offering 9 different types of coffee. You can take beans home or buy online. I wil definitely come back

This coffee shop is a little bit of heaven... The coffee is superb, the service is better. This is not a restaurant, but you will find temptations like New York Cheesecake, carrot cake and other gluten-free creations there. Everything is made with love and dedication. I love coffee and this is the best coffee... Do try the Rapcha coffee... I had a gluten-free chicken pie and New York Cheesecake... Really superb!

Brilliant find in Houtbay!! Coffee roasted on site and was delicious. You must have a sweet treat as well as the cakes are Exceptional. The orange almond flour cake was so full of favour and probably the best example we ever had.

A hidden gem. Amazing coffee and delicious treats. Meet the owner Paul Myburgh who always has an interesting story and great sense of humor! They also sell coffee beans 🫘. They only open at 9am. This is a great place and worth a visit

What a great way to spend your day, at this cute, rustic but homely cafe. The moment you step in, you feel the warm welcome. Coffee was great, the vegan treats were amazing! Must try their vegan banana bread! They had so many vegan goodies it was hard to just pick one! Their cookies, lemon one and the ginger one were great too. Can't wait to come back and try everything else! Thanks for making great coffee and amazing vegan treats!!!

Brilliant little coffee gem - the best coffee I’ve had in the vicinity of Cape Town and the selection of sweet treats are amazing (especially the Carrot Cake). Their coffee beans to buy by the bag are also superb!

I had a cappuccino with almond milk and a croissant and they were both very tasty. The ambiance is nice if you are looking for a different experience. The people who work there were also very nice.

Coffee is so good. We had an Almond orange cake(to die for), Chocolate brownie (out of this world) and Almond croissant(awesome). The hot chocolate is also so nice. Staff very friendly and made us feel at home. Venue is very rustic.

I was hungry and in need of coffee, but I am still convinced that I had the best chocolate brownie ever here. Coffee was great as well

Best coffee hands down in the world, not said lightly either. Always our first stop when entering the Republic of Hout Bay. Very friendly and extremely knowledgeable staff which goes hand in hand with the brilliant cosy atmosphere that always welcomes one when entering. Rarely does a business earn a 5 star review but here it comes naturally. Keep up the excellent work Paul.

This is one of my husband's favorite coffee shops, we can never drive past here without stopping. The vegetarian pie was delicious

Latte was bad Hot chocolate was bad Cortado was okay ish Quirky venue, with a great atmosphere but in these times where there are so many great coffee shops, this place will have to upgrade its coffee substantially to be able to compete

Stopped in for a quick Cortado, and enjoyed every sip of it. A nice quirky and hidden gem in Houtbay. Will definitely be back for more than just the coffee.
