Great food, friendly staff. Aircon on full to counter a very warm day. It seems to be the place to have your business meetings in the area looking at the other customers inside.

We went to bootleggers during load shedding. I hope load-shedding was the reason I had the worst wrap of my life. It consisted out of 90% lettuce and tasted like nothing. My boyfriend and his friend had a chicken prego. The bread was stale and they were both extremely dissatisfied with the quality of their food. I hope the breakfast items are better. Either way they won’t see us again. At least their coffee was good.

I have been on 2 occasions and found the service terrible in both instances. The waiters are not unfriendly, but are just not good enough. Getting food orders wrong, leaving the table for periods of over 15 minutes, lack of menu knowledge etc. In my most recent experience we waited for over 40 mins for our food and when we alerted the manager, instead of apologising she told us that she checked and it was only rung up 30 mins ago. How is this an appropriate response in the customer service industry? Will not be returning, because the of the staff.

Utterly useless service - sitting here watching multiple customers complain with empty plates and cups in front of me from a very average breakfast that haven’t been cleared for 10 minutes. Resorted to ordering my own coffees from the takeaway bar because waiters don’t seem to serve anyone - the highlight was when my takeaway order for serves to someone else also waiting so long he did the same. Last time entering this place - it’s the worst of all the Bootleggers I’ve ever been to. Horrendous food, average coffee and service at Eskom levels.

Having finished watching the sevens, I tried to venture around Greenpoint just so that I could find a quick bite. I was pretty impressed with the dinner menu on the whole. The soup of the day (which was tomato soup with toasted cheese) started off the evening quite pleasantly. The fish and chips was quite elegantly presented. Service was friendly and interactive.

stopped here for a quick takeaway coffee on the way back to our hotel on a Sunday night Coffee was good but shout out to the manager They were outside their usual hours, the normal barista said that he’s just switched off the machine but the manager insisted that they could start up again quickly to make me a quick cappuccino Great service Thanks guys

One of the waitress is not being honest, she put extra 10z as her tip. My bill was 113z and I put 12z as tips to make it 125z, and it ends up 135z after I check my credit card. The food is good, and one of the waiter with mustache is very kind and friendly.

My best coffee. Captichino or American. Thier beans are awesome. Their sweets are amazing. Lovely seats in or out. Quite areaand friendly staff.

I love everything about this store, the service, the ambiance and aesthetics. Their variety of coffees and the time the manager spent explaining their different flavors. Worth a come back.

AWESOME PLACE!!! Bootleggers saved the day many a early morning. Very convenient location, extremely friendly service, and the coffee is delicious. Eggs Benedict was also extremely good.

Great service, lovely waiter. She had jokes that I very much welcome. The Croissant Melt was delicious. Very nice background music, perfect for working during the day

Food is delicious. Great ambience, but goodness gracious please get a better almond milk. Never tasted such a terrible almond milk in my life and really ruined my coffee. Our waitress Lecrucia is lovely.

Had a great latte and some supper with my husband. What amazing service from Adam at Green Point, if you ever want to be well received, ask for him specifically, you won't be disappointed 👏 Also, a well done to manager Kelly, such a warm and welcoming person. Tragic experience today (Sunday 7th August 2022) 🤢. We waited 45 minutes for two meals. Why the delay! I said to my wife, the place was almost empty. Eventualy two the meals arrived! YES, food 👊. Chips were cold and soggy, (Cold Fat) chicken over cooked to a frazel 🙄 I am not a fussy eater but, no way I could eat that. Cold and soggy food. My wifes meal will be fine right! Nup.. to make it worse, my wife had sausage and mash, the mash and peas must have been under the hot plate for the full time we were waiting.. dried like cement, no kidding... I had to send the food back, it was impossible to eat. The manager apologised and agreed with me the meal was poor. Hold on! They then charged me in full for the beer and Coke? 😕 when you consider we had to waited 45 mins for the meal, that was terrible. I don't mind paying, we did drink them. It was poor of the management to do this, when you consider the food quality and time waiting. We paid and left. Poor decision on the part of the management. We are here for three months they lose I guess. 👋

highly recommend you to go here if you are looking for a good breakfast in the green point area of Cape Town! the cafe is really modern and has a good variety of dishes and coffees to choose from. there’s good seating areas for working on your laptop and for socializing.

Had a breakfast there. Not only was it delicious, and the menu had some originality other than the usual breakfast menu's one would see at restaurants - but on this particular day I experienced some kind of anxiety attack right there while eating my breakfast, I was pretty scared as couldn't breathe and just basically felt like I was going to collapse. So I sat there quietly trying to compose myself, a waitress saw that I have not finished my meal and asked if everything was okay, I explained to her what's happening and she got me a water and was just basically really nice in quietly assisting me. I don't like attention being drawn to me and so I really appreciated that. I would like to point out that Bootlegger will play the rugby on Saturdays for those looking to eat & entertain with sport, however, it's not played with sound which I can understand for the rest of the customers not wanting to watch sport, but maybe try offering a solution for the many people like me out there.

This place is amazing, excellent food and the service really really kind and fast. I visited the city for 5 days and had breakfast and dinner in this place most of the time :) Loved it! Also conveniently located :D

We entered the place when fairly busy, totally understandable. We waited longer than 40 minutes and were about to leave - no communication throughout the longest waiting time for eggs and bacon! Worse off - ordered a bagel and looked forward to a bagel that instead arrived as a croissant. Asked for hollandaise that was excluded totally. Probably won't come here again and should have chosen one of the many other better options.

Thanks to our waiter Arty for an awesome experience today. Great welcome, brought our little pooch his own bowl of water, recommended great options and really made us feel special and at home. Will definitely be back. Great service, Thanks a mill Arty!!!👍👏

I went last night (26/03/2022) with 3 friends. We were there between 20:00 and 21:00. It was not busy at all, however, since our arrival we didn't feel welcomed by our waitress. She was very moody, and you could clearly read it from her face expressions, body language, etc...it was so bad that it was like she wasn't even trying to hide it. In addition, the service was terrible. On arrival, we asked for water with ice and had to ask multiple times for them to bring this. The waitress took away my friend's glass of juice before he was finished with it. The chocolate chip cookie i ordered was on the bill but was never received, until I just fetched one myself on the way out. Absolute worst experience in a restaurant. Would not recommend to anyone. Management needs to sort out the staff here. Giving 1 star is me being very generous tbh.

Shocked at this branch having NO COVID safety measures in place. Wanted to visit with the family for breakfast. We entered without being offered or asked to sanitize. All staff operate without masks, (incl. waiters, kitchen crew and front staff). No sanitizing of tables & the guy showing us to table even mentioned how safe we were being. (Just because we entered wearing masks) We left immediately before being seated, as my family's health is important to me AVOID THIS OUTLET.. This is the only Bootlegger I am aware of with so little regard for customers as we later passed the one in Cape Quarter and all the Cape Quarter staff were observing safety precautions.

Great vibe and the blueberry chia pot is delicious!! But I must highlight Thando my friendly waiter, who was on top of it from the minute he welcomed me - great service! Management is on point from checking in with me at the table to making sure loadshedding is not a problem while working in the cafe.
