👍👍 Great place to enjoy your sundowners on the balcony overlooking the ocean. Service was friendly and efficient. Enjoyed our drinks with the free bar snacks of olives, nuts and corn nibs. Bar area is tastefully decorated and has a cosy feel to it - ideal for a wintery evening. People often mention service, high, experience, great, drinks, good, Leopard,

Very good service and awesome high tea sandwiches and confectionery. Would’ve liked more savoury options, but otherwise superb. Interior however is quite outdated. Feels like I’m in the Kruger park, when I was expecting a celebration of the beautiful views and the rich cape history. Must admit I was quite disappointed in the decor and overall interior design. Think it’s time for a revamp.

The Leopard Bar’s decor is stunning, colonial feel. Beautiful lunch experience, lovely food and great service.

Went to 12 apostles hotel and had snacks and drinks at the leopard bar after getting married there exactly 18yrs ago so thought a little anniversary treat. Food was fantastic service was that slow I had to ask for someone to take my drinks order and then again 30 mins later. Price was reasonable considering you have one of the best sunset locations in capetown. Absolutely amazinging sunset.

This was by far the best high tea I’ve ever had. Real value for money, beautiful scenery, lovely staff. Warm and welcoming and absolutely delicious savoury and sweet treats! Definitely returning.

We had lunch at The Leopard Bar after an amazing message at the hotel’s spa. The food was delicious. They recommend this burger platter because we were hungry and we couldn’t believe how much food came out. We thought they were going to be miniature sized! The place I self if decorated very cool. Sitting outside on the terrace is the best if the weather allows for it so you can see and hear the ocean waves while you enjoy yourself!

Had a great high tea experience. I got the vegan high tea and my friend got a normal one and we both loved it. We spent so many hours there talking, enjoying the ambiance, the view, and the food. The loose leaf teas were also delicious and the service was great.

Light lunch with some really good cocktails. This place feels so luxurious, the decor is so classy and comfortable at the same time. Just lounging here makes you feel rich. Service is quite good too, treated like royalty. Just gets a little rowdy at times which I didn’t like, but then its a popular venue so it goes with the territory.

Beer and Gin Canapé Tasting One would expect a quality service when visiting the 12 Apostles, but on a recent visit to the Leopard Bar, we experienced a service and tasting experience beyond anything we've experienced in Cape Town of late. Our host: Byron Clarke, made us feel like we were the only guests that he was attending to that day (which we certainly weren't!) The gin canapé tasting consists of 3 Cape gins which Byron talks one through the origin and production history, and which condiments are best suited with each gin and why. He proved to be knowledgeable about both gin and beer production and was able to answer all our questions. The accompanying Canapés were so incredibly tasty and artfully presented. The beer Canapé tasting consists of 4 craft beers and paired with different Canapés to that served with the Gin tasting. You do need to book 24 hours ahead of time, I called to make the reservation. I'd recommend booking on a beautiful day so that the experience can be enjoyed outside on the balcony with sea views.

Great Experience, Obviously the views are the highlight. We had mini burger sliders platter to share, it was alright, not great but not bad. We did however have the most amazing milkshakes. Do yourself a favour and ask for Roland (the Bar Supervisor) and ask for some surprise milkshake tasters. It's not on the menu but they are incredibly creative and served a set of 3 unique mini milkshakes that blew us away. Certainly be back for milkshakes as they were the best we've ever had.

We went to 12 apostles this year. Made a reservation for a high tea. Very underwhelming atmosphere. The only high tea aspect was the food. We were served two of each of a small variety of delicious petit fours, sandwiches and other dainty small bites. However we were seated at a table for 2 in a lounge/pub area (leopard bar), with absolutely no high tea atmosphere. The crockery were cheap looking cups and saucers, nothing porcelain, fancy or even indicating fine dining. Would not recommend it at all, it was like having fancy sandwiches at your local pub for an astronomical price.

Cape Town is renowned for its breathtaking sunsets, from Lions Head to Bloubergstrand. The Leopard Bar at the 12 Apostles is one that is high up on my list, probably my absolute best! The visits are not often as a local, but rather for special occasions, the ones you want to remember. Think special visits with international friends, date nights, birthday or anniversary sundowners hit the spot so well. The food menu is fair (it a hotel after all), from burgers to steaks and salads. But, the drinks list is massive with a few menus to peruse, from cocktails and spirits, to wine lists that will enthral the biggest enthusiast, showcasing French heavyweights from Burgundy, Champagne and Bordeaux. It reasonabley priced if you have Euro’s or Dollar’s, for us locals, its a spoil - well at least for me, but the sunsets are epic on that balcony or from the below pool deck. Just breathtaking! Ciao ~SB 🌅

So , we decided to spend this beautiful afternoon at The Leopard Bar but what a waste of our time. Arrived there and asked for an outside table , but the waiter didn't even have the decency to seat us . We eventually sat at a 2 seater and waited almost 10mins before we had to ask for menus. We waited another few minutes for someone to take our order , but no one attended to us. We eventually got up and left , but atleast enjoyed some Sun. What a disappointment- please focus on your service as I'm sure the manager didn't even realize we walked out

We’ve been coming to Leopard Bar for sundowner drinks for many years prior to the pandemic. This was our first time back since then and the atmosphere and views of the sun setting over the ocean were as great as ever. Unfortunately our waiter Zeeke (?) was bordering to rude, which spoilt our experience on this occasion. Maybe with so many overseas tourists visiting, the staff don’t have to care too much about how they treat customers …?

We were so disappointed as we heard good reports about the place. The food really wasn’t good...The grilled fish was dry and the rice accompanying the curry was dry. The steak was overdone. On top of this, the fact that they have an ideal location and a sense of olde world charm and class seems to carry through to a vague snobbishness.

The view from the balcony is stunning. The servings for the gin tasting were ample. The accompanying canapé was good. The desert offered was fudge, which is odd when compared to what you are offered with the canapé.

Visited this bar last Sunday since we were too late to make a dinner reservation we opted to have a few drinks and some snacks. The service was absolutely unprofessional. Since there were no tables available we were told to wait at the bar which we did and that was it! We were totally forgotten and almost felt disregard. The bar was totally chaos no order. We ordered a drink at the bar and after an hour noticed a table free outside. Nobody came to take our order after 2 hours, nobody noticed us so we couldn't even ask for the bill we went to the bar asked for the paid and left. Wouldn't recommend or go back there.

We had a wonderful experience with our server, Rati - thank you! Definitely sit on the patio for sunset, you can't beat it.

Gorgeous venue but food is average and overpriced for what it is. Our waitress was great (Amy-Lee). Someone's car alarm kept going off in the parking area but nothing was done about it. We eventually moved inside to get away from the noise. Even though it was below par I did enjoy myself - as I said, great venue which covers a multitude... They really should up their game because with a bit more effort the whole experience would be magnificent and get 5* ratings.
