I would like to start off my review by saying that i felt obligated to write it immediately after i left and that i wasn’t even that hungry nor was i under the influence of alcohol. We were a party of 2 and we ordered 2 Ribeye steaks and 1 game steak (Kudu). All were cooked to medium. This is the only steak that i have eaten that i can truly describe as mouthwatering! By far the best steak that i have ever tasted and i have tasted many. Desserts were delicious. staff were welcoming and pleasant. The service was fast even though the place was packed. The overall atmosphere was nice. Prices were very reasonable considering the high quality of everything. I wholeheartedly recommend dining here.

The best Ribeye steak I have ever had, topped with butter and bone marrow. Their service is always great and very friendly. One of my favorite places to visit.

You will be surprise by the north american steakhouse vibe once you entered and will never be disappointed when you eat at this restaurant chain. We ate a few times at the Hussars during our trip and the meat was always phenomenal. They also present you the 'Cuts of the day's like tomahawk or Kuda. By far the best meat I have eaten in Camp's Bay. A must for business, family or romantic diner.

One of the best places to enjoy a delicious steak in Cape Town was. I savoured a mouthwatering ribeye steak that truly stood out as one of the best I've ever had. The staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Wade, who served me, was an outstanding individual. He not only provided valuable recommendations but also assisted me in pouring the sauce in a video, which was a thoughtful touch. Additionally, he shared some fantastic suggestions for places to visit in Cape Town.

Arrived without a reservation, was early so fortunately table was available. Hadn’t been to a restaurant for 5 months because of pandemic and health issues. Have to stick to a low sodium diet, not easy but staff and chief were fantastic. Advised me not to have basting as it was salty, rump cooked to perfection same with roasted veg , also no salt added. Husband had a ceasar salad which looked great and he said tasted mouthwatering, his basted steak also perfect. Wonderful meal

All the food was delicious. First time I ordered the mushrooms as a starter and the corn as a side dish and both were a big surprise - wonderfully tasty. The complementary chocolate vodca martini's are always a nice addition to end the meal.

Excellent food as always. The Hussar Grill is always a go-to for any special occasion, and never disappoints. Portia was amazing, she took care of us during the evening. I had the bone marrow for a starters which was delicious! Only wished there was more marrow on the bones. For mains, I had the Bone Marrow rump steak with mushroom sauce and potato fries + onion rings on the side. This was sublime! For dessert I had the Death By Chocolate which was delicious as well. We will definitely return.

It was the best experience ever. The service was perfect, food was amazing. Loved it and the drinks was great as well.

Had the best steak there! Also the snails as starter and the malva pudding were excellent. Three bottles of fantastic South African red wine and it was a perfect dinner for us. The service was friendly, fast and very coordinated. Couldn’t have been any better and I would love to go there any time again.

Staff were so friendly! Food was so delicious, the cost of the meal we had would have been over double in the UK easy! Fillet steak was 10/10!

This was possibly the best steak I’ve ever had!!! Had the chicken livers as a starter (yum!) a Moscow mule (very well made) and the steak that absolutely stole my heart. So sad I only discovered this place on my last day because otherwise I’d have gone more than once! Big shoutout to Sun who was a phenomenal waiter - his attention to detail was unparalleled and he really ran the show!

Fantastic steak restaurant where they will show and explain the various cuts of meat. I have visited twice and had the Lamp Chops and Reef and Beef with 200g Sirloin and 3 Garlic Butterfly Prawns. Adorable staff, Lisa was a darling. The Creme Brulee and Malva Pidding are spectacular as are the Chocolate Vodka Martinis. Highly recommend

The Hussar Grill Camps Bay is truly an amazing dining experience. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted with warm smiles from the welcoming staff. The food is simply delicious, with a wide variety of options to choose from. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. Steakhouse and grill restaurant with a large menu of steaks and seafood. The restaurant itself is quite a lot larger than perceived from outside with fantastic views of Lions Head that can be seen from your table. The service was of top order and the food was very pleasant.

Amazing food and friendly staff. Unfortunately had very annoying people sit behind us that kept shuffling my hair as they go in and out to smoke. Space was just very limited 😕 otherwise we'll be back Update: Manager did offer to move us but our meal was almost done and decided to just stick it out.

Lovely place to wine and dine in Camps Bay with family. Wide selection on the menu and the service is top notch. Restaurant is clean and neat, the ambience is welcoming and the stuff is very friendly. We enjoyed our time there even with our 2 month old. Would recommend to everyone, plus booking is essential during peak season to avoid disappointment.

Everything about this restaurant was great. The place was clean, smelled good and the food was exceptional! Very tasty, well prepared and you can chose among many menu options. Our waiter Mr MF Shabalala is so friendly and kind .. The staff also worked as a team in bringing our food and cleaning up our table. I love the service at the place and the chef is so friendly with the guests and always takes care to offer the best quality! The whole experience from start to finish was great! I highly recommend this place to everyone

A great place to have a nice dinner for everyone. Whether you like meat of fish or veggie dishes, you’ll find a delicious dish for sure. We’ve been at the Hussar Grill three times in a row. The dinner satisfied us so much that we came back again and again. Starting with the lovely staff: everyone is exceedingly welcoming, polite and always ready for ribald joke. At the second day some of the staff already recognized us, what a nice gesture! The dishes: the staff presents you the steaks if you wish. We were quite decided so we just ordered and it was always excellent (we had fillet und fillet on the bone). Also the desserts are worth it. All in all, we’ll come back when we’re back in South Africa 🇿🇦 THANK YOU!

Large restaurant, very nicely appointed. Excellent service (thank you Pepi!). Great menu and wine list. Comfortable seating. Complimentary olives and chips a nice touch. There is only one drawback. My husband and I both ordered steaks. He likes rare, I prefer medium. Both steaks were delicious but both were over done. I think that because the food was served on really hot plates it might have been enough to put out the steaks over the edge. Otherwise a definite repeat for us.

One of the top dining locations in camps bay. Great atmosphere, over the top food and a perfect ‘house’ wine combined with top service and great service made this the perfect place for our last evening in Cape Town! Reservation is highly recommended as they tend to book our pretty quick.

Great meat, great wine & great staff! We definitely recommend the house wine (much cheaper than other options and yet delicious!). We had the ostrich fillet and the sirloin on the bone. Both options were absolutely tasty.

First of all our waiter Jabulani was amazing! He was friendly, funny, knowledgeable on the steak and the menu and made us feel at home! The steak was cooked perfectly and delicious and I would return here in a heart beat! The staff really are amazing the waiters and managers make everything so comfortable while the chefs really know what they are doing! The waiters & manager even dealt with a difficult/fussy eater/customer with patience and ease, better than I would have! All in all I really recommend this place if you want a delicious & memorable meal!
