If there was a no star option, I would go for that. Where to start... My room contained broken blinds, no phone or panic button (a requirement for all rooms in the facility). Bitterly cold, no heating inside. Nursing staff stealing medication that patients bought and paid for before entering the clinic. Nursing staff outright lied to my psychiatrist when I RHT'ed (refused to be 'treated' there because of the sarcastic attitude of nursing staff and not being given all my meds, as well as having to wait 2 days and then about 1 hour further when I asked for a prescribed injection while the nurse decided the moment I asked to sit and have a 45 minute long 'tea break', not bothering to ask another sister on duty to do it) about me swearing at staff and other patients, pointing a finger in a nurse's face, etc.) When I came back the next day for my medication (which they refused to give me the day I left) they left out certain medications I bought and came in with (even though I had been granted a special request to use some the day before, so I knew they were there with my things) and then made me wait for an hour while they 'attended to the patients' and then literally demanded that I leave immediately and followed me into the parking lot, yelling at me to not come back ever again (coming from the head nurse, Chandre I believe her name is). I came in 6 days prior due to depression and toxic relationships and left preceding a meltdown due to the frustration of being there. Not to mention they allow patients to smoke cigarettes inside the main building at night. They would not allow me to call the police even though someone told me to kill myself over the phone which also led to me refusing so-called 'treatment' (RHT'ing). If you're hungry you have to remain hungry in between mealtimes as well. If you care about your loved ones and/or need a peaceful recovery, DO NOT come here!!!

Based on the following facts and findings I cannot recommend the Crescent Clinic „Private Psychiatric Clinic“: After 3 days in bed with blood loss, diarrhea, nausea and dizziness the “Clinic” does not even manage to organize a GP to check on my wife’s’ the state of health. This misconduct leads, as of today to 3 days of non-participation of her 21-day psychiatric program. As her husband I am very concerned about her current state and even more about the almost non-existing care for her. Having been unable to contact my wife on multiple occasions I called the reception on Sept 12, 2014 at 2:38pm regarding my wife. The reception responded saying that she’s out and about in the garden. I then kindly asked to leave a message for her asking her to call back when possible and still now I haven’t had any feedback. Being somewhat concerned after a little while I did drive over to the Crescent Clinic “Private Psychiatric Clinic” and found my wife almost unable to move on her own with pain in bed. Perhaps a walk in the garden is a more convenient way to deal with a patient than to actually help this patient? Besides this unpleasant case, it also came to my attention that psychiatric appointments are not respected and alternative meetings are neither suggested nor scheduled with the patient. All well planed at his clinic? Even blood tests announced for Friday are not even conducted the following day. This clinic feels like pure chaos and lacks coordination. Is this all of negative feedback experienced at the Private clinic? Nope, not really. Booking a 2 bed room unit I was in the believe my wife would share a room with one other patient and consequently a bathroom with this patience. As a matter of fact, at this clinic 2 two bed room units share one bathroom of about 2.5sqm. Yes, this makes 4 patients for 1 toilet and 1 shower. On the other hand, single units have an identical plot – only difference is that „only“ 3 patients share one common bathroom instead of 4 patients. Psychiatric needs of the patient are almost not respected. On certain days pets are allowed in the clinic’s garden (roughly 10 meters from the perimeter gateway) as long as they are kept on their leash. On other days this is forbidden based on the „order“ of the guard on duty. According to the reception area pets are even allowed in the reception area as long as they are kept on a leash. Almost nobody seems to know at this „clinic“ what it allowed, or forbidden. Signage, that could clear out any possible disagreement such as „no pets allowed“ are nowhere visible on the clinic’s premises. Unfortunately, what does remain unchanged is an unhappy patient. Patients at the Crescent Clinic are only tolerated for bringing their hard-earned money, not for anything else though.

I went in initially for 1 week and stayed to complete the 3 week program. This clinic helped me a lot with my anxiety and depression. My psychiatrist was really good and so was my psychologist. The food wasn’t always great but it was edible and the nurses were always there to help you and speak to you 24/7 if you needed. Overall I think I had a really good experience at Crescent clinic and if I ever felt like I had more issues that needed to be sorted I would definitely go back.

I have been admitted here a few times over the years. My experiences during all of these times have been amazing. It's like you become part of a family here. The staff, nurses, therapists, even the kitchen staff are absolutely amazing.. I've never had a negative experience here. I felt safe and cared for..

What can I say. I was nervous and apprehensive to go because of my anxiety but once I got there until the day I left I was looked after by friendly and professional staff. They went out of their way to make it a pleasurable experience and they were very helpful. The classes were good and I learnt alot from them. Made some good friends there. Thanks again. Regards Nick

Mostly attended by GEM (government employees who are just looking for a holiday break free of charge) the food was good, the facilities good but the overall support inadequate as most attendees not serious about recovery. Also based on 10 steps which doesnt work and group leaders who are egocentric and ill equipped to deal with addiction issues

Very racist and don’t care about their patients, they put you on isolation with another person, in my case the person I shared a room with had COVID when the result came they just apologised and made promises they did not keep. Yes Dr’s and some sisters a nice but management is a different story in my experience.

If you going into crescent clinic for depression or anxiety…. Be sure you will leave there much worse of. The level of care you get a that facility is pathetic. We was scared of a patient that was harassing us. She was at the point of assault me. This was brushed off and nurses defended her until it happened to one of them. No heating working in rooms. Continuous ill treatment from staff… admin, nurses etc. All these incidents were reported to the hospital management who hasnt till this day sent a formal apology. If you self employed, be sure your financial sacrifice to improve your mental wellbeing is not worthwhile. Please do something about your staff and dilapidated facility. In the past when either myself or my children were hospitalised, we would received a survey after discharge…. Why not this time? Btw…My star is actually none existent

If you are agitated, depressed and stressed, the nursing station will make sure you do not have one day without being insulted talked down to, humiliated or argued with. The nursing station is like something from the TV series American Horror Story. If they are so impatient dealing with depressed and agitated people they should not work in a mental clinic. Most of them should be prison wardens. Abusive and argumentative. They search you gleefully in front of other patients when giving you your cocktail of sleeping pills to make sure you did not hide any in your hand or pockets. They also wake patients up at night chattering nonsense in loud annoying voices. You will not sleep late since noise starts at 6am. Beds are bad quality; the food stingy on protein. It is probably heaven for low-level government employees who need a paid vacation in a hotel without a bar.
