Friendly and quick service! Would have preferred the toastie to be more toasted and not so buttery, but otherwise a great experience!

The Bootlegger Coffee Company is really good but the one at the Gardens mall has a special touch to it that makes it excellent. It is a sit down or take-away not Uber eats or Mr D which means the food quality and service is not comprised at all 😋. The managers, waiters and baristas have a lively energy that makes it feel like being at home. Thank you always to the team ❤️❤️😘 we have been going there for over a year now and we are always treated so well!

Such a relaxed visit to this lovely shop. Great vibe - chilled, casual and prompt and attentive service. Clean tables, delicious food made with quality, fresh ingredients that was plated and presented with pride and care. Extensive menu that’s sure to please every taste. Loved the comfy seating. Really didn’t feel like leaving, and of course, the coffee is one of the best tasting in town! 10/10 - don’t change a thing.

Compliment re Outstanding Service received from Stefanie on Saturday the 18th around lunchtime. Was not happy with the drink I ordered and Stefanie made sure that I left there happy and satisfied by replacing it with something else and more especially she was so genuine warm and understanding. Bootleggers is one of my favourite coffee shops. I recently had the burger and chips and it was delicious. There are two side options on the table and both were so good I wanted to buy a bottle each. The coffee is always fantastic and the service quick and friendly.

The nice thing about Bootlegger Gardens Center is that the service is so slow that I can arrive, order, go home and finish the Lord of the Rings trilogy, go back to Bootlegger and my food will just be coming out of the kitchen ready to eat. Astounding! If you value your time don’t visit this venue. Consistently, after raising it with the manager multiple times, food and simple drinks have had wait times of at least 45min. The coffee is terrible too. The juice is great though. Go to Deluxe or Woollies for coffee.

Not the first time. Great food but the service really needs work. 1. Check if the customer is happy with their order. 2. Check if they'd like something else. Don't just abandon them after you've delivered their order. It's called upselling. 3. Once you've given the bill come back timeously to take payment.

This burger and fries looks and test worst than the cheapest fast food burger I've ever had, yet the most expensive burger there's in the menu.

Hi. Me again:) just to add some brand new comments after few months from the 1st.ones. As a very regular client of the Garden Bootlegger and as an old Hotelier Restaurateur ( 42 years ) in the Seychelles Hotellerie and now young Pensioner:(:(:( , my daily time is now spent on observing all happening in the places I do usually patronise , and this includes my favorite place in Bootleggers in Gardens. I have to highly commend the 2 Managers of this very busy place, Martin and Andreas. They are very devoted to the difficult responsibility to manage a staff in such a busy place. The service is prompt and orders are quickly served and the food is delicious and quite neatly arranged. Bravo to you all at Bootlegger/s. Just done NOT change. Their tea is amazing. I also ordered their ham toastie and it was good.

Not up to the expected Bootlegger standard. Good food let down by very disappointing service. Placing an order was already a challenge but two drinks only arrived after everyone finished their meals. No communication about the delay and a mission every time to attract the attention of the waitress to get an update. Pro tip: ignoring an issue won’t make it go away

I had a wonderful experience today at Bootlegger Gardens Mall - not only was the food well prepared and attractive, it was delicious and very reasonably priced. The coffee was great! But what impressed me even more was the manner in which the manager, Martin, as well as Jacob, (who served me), treated me with kindness, respect and friendliness! Although he was busy, Martin spent some time chatting to me, which I appreciated and enjoyed very much. I think Martin leads by his example and therefore has an excellent team. Jacob was courteous, efficient and being the perfect waiter any customer could wish for, he knew exactly how! Well done, Martin, Jacob, the barista and kitchen staff - I enjoyed spending time at Bootlegger Gardens Mall!

I fresh new refurbished space which i have been watching for a while. The barista situated with coffee machines and snacks in the centre of 2 walkways is very clever as the aroma from coffee is a dead attractant towards the small. My 1st time here and I loved the speed, the service and the friendliness. Well done, I will be back

The service is horrific. Staff has attitude. I like the place and food. but had several negative experiences. Also complained a few times. No one seems to bother. Luckily a lovely new place opened next door.

Pathetic service. Went there once before with my partner and while the food was good; the service was slow. We tried again today and were seated by the manager only to not have follow up at all for at least ten minutes. At least four different waiters walked past us multiple times and even though it was obvious we hadn't ordered; nome stopped to assist us. We stopped two separate waiters to ask for help and neither assisted us. Overheard the bartender telling someone we hadn't been assisted and yet no one came to our table. I got up to look for a drinks menu and again no one assisted. Finally someone came up to us to ask if we had been helped and when we said no he walked away. This is DISGUSTING service and as my partner and I are both in hospitality we are aware that this is not acceptable at all. It truly was not even that busy. We saw two separate people seated after us and assisted and I will NOT be back.

My service experience: 13/01/23 at 14:00 1. I was seated on a dirty table. Hostess took me to a table which still had previous diners dirty crockery and cutlery. She removed them and left menu on an unwiped table with food crumps and water/drinks puddles. I had to call someone to wipe the table. 2. 10 minute waiting time before order was taken. A server glanced over at my table several time, even made eye contact kept ignoring the fact that no one took my order since she last wiped my table. Contemplated getting up and leave. I had to request a waiter and think if I didn't, I would have been kept waiting. Server that kept glancing over sent a waiter after my request. Another solo diner sat on a table across me. It took "glancing server" 1 minute to take her order. Lady even asked her to give her a moment to look at her menu. I timed how long it will take for her to be helped so I can see if 10 minutes was the norm. 3. Drink came without straw. Requested one. Food came without cutlery. Had to wait. Overall food was okay. Ambiance nice and chilled. Customer service was disappointing, not worth 10% tip

We ordered the club sandwich (new on the menu) ... chicken too thick, dry and tasteless. Toast far too thick and the lime and jalapeño dressing was very spicy - and inedible - had to order mayo and then pay R9 for about 2 tablespoons - rip off I think bootleggers have to go back to the drawing board on this meal Coffee as usual great

One of the best Bootleggers in Cape Town. I have never had a bad meal here. Staff are extremely friendly, and are very responsive. This Bootlegger is always full! Highly recommend coming here for a meal or a coffee in between grocery shopping!

The burger were so small, and petty was cooked to medium rare, that had to be disclosed since it out of the norm The chips were good though

I feel like it used to be amazing and now it's okay. Food is great and the service was excellent. Coffee was mediocre. I would definitely go for lunch but I won't make a mission to get there for coffee. The boardroom is a great feature and I will definitely go there again if I have a meeting.

Such a great place with amazing service and coffee is pretty good too. The WiFi is pretty bad there. If you looking for working on your laptop the speed is pretty bad. Otherwise service and food is pretty good

Waiter asked me to move tables to make space for more guests when there were about 20 empty tables (most of the restaurant was empty). Not the most amazing way to make one feel welcome. Otherwise this is a standard Bootleggers establishment. Good coffee, food options.

Excellent service from Tatenda at Bootleggers! I ordered before they opened and he went out of his way to bring me my coffee fix and gluten-free crunch (best crunchies), at work this morning. ☕️ Thank you!
