Good java... Vibey spot at the top of Bree Street.

When you speak to Capetonians who like to work in the CT-Vibes, all of them say Bootleggers is their local laptop-friendly institution of choice for a great cup of coffee and lekker meal. And, sure as hell, pretty much every spot was occupied by locals and foreigners coding, designing, and checking emails. We joined them for a couple of hours and I can report back that the Green Omelette and the fresh Green Day Café Meal were a real treat.

We waited over 20 minutes for 2v Coffees which only came after two requests as to where they were. The toasted cheese and tomato was possibly the worst toasted cheese I have had. Firstly it took over 30 minutes to arrive and when it did, the bread was hardly toasted and the tomato was ice cold. The manageress did try and sort out our order once it was brought to her attention. The waitress who took the initial order was absolutely useless and should find another line of work. I wont be going back

Love this little Bootleggers. The staff are super friendly and just like all BLs, they have great coffee and delicious food. I'm actually a little surprised how the food is always so good at a "chain" place. Currently LOVING the Peruvian Chicken Bowl.... my old favourite was something called like Green Goodness with poached eggs, hummus, and quinoa. Anyways, you can't go wrong. Keep up the solid effort.

The friendly waitress made the whole solo date experience less stressful and actually enjoyable. I hade order the chicken burger with match and a chocolate cake slice. The food tasted amazing. My only issue was that, the chicken needed more salt.

Had nothing to eat BUT their coffee is excellent.. I'm what you would call a coffee critic and everyone knows that BUT no complaints re Bootleggers Coffee. Never let me down.

Bootlegger is a great spot for breakfast, it has an industrial atmosphere alongside robust coffee brewed from their signature blends. Their breakfast menu offers a wide and satisfying range of options, from healthy to hearty, all flavorful and well-portioned dishes. The industrial-chic decor and the consistent buzz of locals and visitors alike create an energetic start to the day. Although the staff is very friendly, it takes quite some time to be served. It’s a go-to spot for both early risers and brunch enthusiasts looking for quality coffee and a full-flavored breakfast.

Convenient location & friendly service. The coffee arrived cold (on a cold day). The food is overpriced and stingy portions. I ordered flapjacks for breakfast. They were doughy, the “marscapone” topping was just cream cheese and there was so little that it melted and totally disappeared. I asked for more, as there was clearly none on my plate, and they billed me for it! With so many great options in Cape Town, skip this one.

Excellent coffee and food. Definitely up there with the best coffee I've ever had, smooth and rich 👌 . I had the omelette and it was delicious my friend had the bangers & mash which was also very good. Service was quick and polite the atmosphere was very good also.

One of the best iced americanos I’ve ever had. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff aswell. Had to grab some of their nespresso compatible pods and the familia just loved them.

The honey nut lattes is very delicious. Also tried a few of their cookies but my favorite was the chocolate chip made with brown butter.

Very nice place for remote working. Really good vibes and waiters are wonderful people. If you want a place work from, this place is fit you.

Service was abit lacking from Asanda, probably didn't like working on a Sunday morning. ⚒️😅

Very poor service. They came with good and bad news. They were able to make a toasted sandwich for me but not fry a chicken sausage because the fryer was not clean. Which means its left dirty overnight. The food tasted fake and we did not enjoy it. They did not have a slice of lemon for water. Seems they should rather open for lunch only, maybe by then everything will be ready for service.

Nice place with great breakfast options, smoothies and nice coffee's to start your day.

I just say: banana bread! Great location to have breakfast. I think it is a chain, because there are some bootleggers in Capetown. But yes, it is just lekker. The best was banana bread French toast with bacon and syrup. Wow.

Really amazing flat white !!!! I also had a good gluten free chicken mayo sarmie, salads and breakfasts ...

4 of us including 2 people from the UK went there today 12.38. It was load shedding, so we weren't sble to get any of the 6 juices on the menu. So iced coffee it had to be. The pie & chips came an hour after arriving, then later came the trout/salmon bagel the fish had swum away!, then the wrap & stacked crumpets. The waitress spilt the syrup & asked do you want another one? She had got orders incorrect, maybe suffering from seeing the New Year in. I recommended going there but sorry I did. The kitchen looked untidy & toilets had toilet paper on the floor.

Very good service. Delicious breakfast. Safe to use.

Welcoming atmosphere and speedy kitchen for if you're on the run or waiting around early morning before getting things done. Inside is cozy, outside seating is nice

We were randomly looking for a breakfast place. As foreigners, we didn't know the Bootlegger brand, and were double surprised by the quality and service. Everything was good, as easy as that, with delicious coffee. The staff was extremely kind and we can only recommend this address.

I prefer smaller independent coffee shops over chains, but.. I can't find little reason not to go to Bootlegger. The quality is really high. The food tastes great and price are just above the market. The latte I had was exceptional. Friendly and fast service from the female hostess at the takeaway counter.

Ordered a Potato Rosti, my egg came all wrong and when I enquired I was told that's what I ordered. I had my friend eat it because I had explained to the waitress that I don't want it runny but it came runny. I find their servings much smaller than the other Bootleggers.

I often get takeaway coffee here and the service is always quick. Today i had a sit-down breakfast and the bagel was delicious and filling I liked the coffee being served in a glass-style cup instead of the normal coffee cup Inside is cosy and fairly comfortable

Nice service! We love the Honey Nut Coffee and Almond Croissants. Would love to visit again.
