The mall is dying and less shops every year. Bad management and the city should get involved. I never seen mall without food court for many years. The mall is depressing and something has to be done to save it.

This mall is starting to get sad. A few big and destination stores keep it afloat. NO FOOD COURT. When it was taken from the center the downhill slide began. There are a few Independant gems. Embroidery Station, S&Bs burger and the children’s science center.

Nothing left here worth going to but the movie theater now. It's dead. Ulta, Old Navy and Bath and Body Works have moved out. Kay's left a while ago, Gloria's coffee shop closed ages ago, just a few sporadic stores left. Don't go unless you research what's there. Go across the street now!

With Ulta Beauty, Bath & Body Works and Old Navy moving into the old Best Buy location this summer, the final nail has been set. It all started when the greedy landlords jacked up the rent so high that it drove the independent food vendors out of business. Their replacement was a joke with a terrible location. A single corporation running a pizza place, asian themed cuisine, burger joint etc with a mix and match approach to the workers. Having your fried rice made by an employee wearing their pizza place uniform was totally not weird at all. It doesn’t help that the university has been bleeding students by the thousands each year. The locals are the ones who truly suffer as the city couldn’t care less about them. But the management at this mall have sat on their butts for years. It was a slow death until JC Penny and Macys closed up shop and it kicked into high gear after that. JC Penny could have maybe survived if not for the peaceful protectors who looted and destroyed it back in 2020. Same goes for the GameStop. Malls aren’t doing well in general but this one was doing well until the owners decided to get greedy and stupid all at once. It’ll be totally closed by next year.

Oh man, the city has to do something with this because this place is a dead zone, for real. I've stopped by here for the 1st time, and I was very disappointed. The reason is that there's no food court and barely anything entertaining here, I saw the Science Center and big-destination stores, and those were cool. But where did the rest of the entertainment & other good stuff go?

Many stores in this mall have closed but we are fortunate enough to still have a few stores left. Old Navy and American Eagle are still there and great to shop for our kiddos and have some options for us also.

Took NCOE 2nd grade to the science center in the mall, highly recommend, Lots of things for kids to do. Every Wednesday from 11am to 5pm is free admission which is great, this had lots of hands on learning for the kids. Thank you.

Lots of empty space. Several older folks walking laps. Pretty much a waste of time. It's a shame, used to be a nice shopping mall.

Stores are moving out of this mall into independent buildings. Within the past two years a movie theater has reappeared. It's nice to have two theaters to choose from, in Carbondale.

Nothing down there after COVID hit. Everything between Gloria jeans and JCPenney is gone. The mall ain't like it used to be and no jobs or careers barely available.

A mall I used to frequent 10+ years ago! A shell of what I remember. A shame because not only is it a beautiful 80’s/ 90’s mall but there’s not much in the Carbondale Marion area anymore. If you want to go to a decent mall around these parts, it’s either Paducah, Evansville or trek all the way to the St. Louis region..

Just like every other mall in America it's going out of business, not many stores are left. Don't see it staying open in the next 5 or so years.
