Can’t believe they built a hotel on the strip! We got a one bedroom suite with a pull out couch and was comfy for 3 of us adults. Great location! Across the street from Amtrak and could walk to bars. Will stay again and service was nice and quick!

I was really disappointed. One thing I like is having a good shower in the morning which refreshes me. But this hotel had the worst water pressure that I have ever experienced. When I complained about it, I was told they were being “ eco friendly “. There is a difference between being eco friendly and being stingy and trying to save money on the expense of our comfort. Staff although was very polite , friendly and cooperative.

My son attends SIU and plays football there we stayed here at Home2 Suites which is in a perfect spot two minutes from the campus. The rooms were nice, clean and spacious with a full kitchen which was great when you have a family. Although the free breakfast was pretty good as well. Special shout out to Mrs. Diana in the kitchen her southern hospitality was warm and welcoming. We will definitely be back soon.

The room is absolutely gross. The front desk has been very kind and attentive, but I cannot say the same for the maid/maintenance staff. $600 to stay for four nights- lightbulbs are missing or burnt out, the furniture is stained, the room in general is quite small. The largest bed they offer in every sweet is. Well, it's advertised as such, but it's a stretch to call it that. It's big enough for about one person with three to four pillows. Very disappointed. Expecting nothing less than a full refund

It was nice for me. Room is nice and clean. Price is a bit high for me. There are cheaper similar options around the market place area. Location is a bit far from market place, mall, and UIUC campus. It is quite quiet around because of the distance from the major crowded spots.

Very nicely appointed, large, comfortable rooms, but a shower only. The breakfast was much more expansive than I anticipated. I was able to relax and enjoy dining for breakfast off of real plates, cups, and dishes along with metal cutlery; not a Styrofoam option in sight!

We were surprised by this hotel -- The room was spacious and clean, the bed was wonderfully comfortable, and the staff was very personable. Another way this hotel surprised us was not only that we found a MACHETE in our room, but that no one seemed to be phased. When I found it, I promptly called down to the front desk, as we were travelling with a 2 year old and cannot imagine him getting his hands on it. The attendant came up swiftly, and said "huh. wonder how that got there. thanks for letting us know!" and removed it. That's it! Again, I'm glad I found it instead of my 2yo son.. which could have posed a serious safety issue. I with the staff would have seemed as half as concerned as I did.

We arrived at midnight and Antonio gave us great service. Very clean and well lit lobby, halls, elevators and the room was perfect with walk-in shower, well stocked kitchen and bath. Worth putting up with a noisy train.

Fantastic location, many restaurants and bars a short walk away. Staff friendly and helpful . Beautiful lobby and patio and an excellent breakfast.. Rooms leave a lot to be desired, our first room had a bathroom door that was impossible to keep closed and our replacement room was less than clean and the toilet paper holder was defective. The indoor swimming pool was the coldest pool I have ever seen in a hotel, I estimate the water temperature to be about 70 degrees, If location is not a priority, there are other hotels at a lower cost in Carbondale that have nicer rooms with one on the west side of town being less than half the price.

The hotel isn’t following ADA guidelines for guests. Handicap parking spots filled by guests without placards. I had to park my accessible van in a spot behind the hotel that was a potential tow zone. They told me it was private property so guests could park there and wouldn’t be ticketed to the hotels discretion. ADA laws apply to private property and I might report this to the better business bureaus and disability advocacy groups. My hotel room was way overpriced to park my accessible van in a tow zone.

Nice rooms and great service. The breakfast was warm and many healthy choices. Hotel is not sound proof and right next to train tracks. Trains come all night long.

Overpriced ($220 for a week night). Noisy. Cheap. The hotel is situated very close to the roads. The parking lot is cramped and uncomfortable, at best. Things we clean enough but cheap and extra small. Presumably they don't have double queen rooms and do fold out couches instead. No breakfast staff, so options are heated up (then cold) freezer meals; pre-poured (with crusted over top) waffle batter, and random breads. We asked for top floor away from elevators and still had a bunch of noise from the attached patio, parking lot and roads. It's clearly purposely overpriced and skimping to make even more money because they are one of the only name brand hotels in town. Choose an air BNB instead.

Stayed here for 4 nights during the first 6 months of Covid and loved it. Staff was great. Location was perfect. Rooms had a perfectly relaxed feel.

Beds are not king sized & they're very uncomfortable Cleanliness was okay in room Room size is great Amenities of hotel (pool, exercise room, front patio, lounge area and breakfast) are great One of the front desk staff wasn't all that pleasant while we stayed (6/16-6/18) she wasn't outwardly rude - just seemed edgy and unwelcoming-- not something expected in front desk attendant. The area that this hotel is located is directly across from Amtrak...with multiple horn blowing trains daily and nightly. Of course 2 of our 3 rooms that we reserved were facing station. The neighborhood is definitely sketchy in this area...

The best long term stay hotel I've ever stayed in. Service was exceptional. Rooms were outstandingly well equipped. Breakfast was definitely beyond my expectations.

Smells like a gym as soon as you walk into the lobby. It's hard to believe that this hotel is only 5 years old. It doesn't get any better on the upper levels. Room 300 smelled like feet. My family couldn't take it. We checked out and went to the Holiday Inn in Marion IL. This is what happens when hotels don't have daily housekeeping. It's just common sense. If you don't clean, it's going to stink. It's apparent that the employees have become nose blind to this problem.

Hotel was amazing. It was clean to my liking. Staff was pretty nice and cool. They answered all of my questions with no problems. The breakfast in the morning was delicious. They had a variety of things. Sandwiches, frittatas, omelettes, fruit, oatmeal, biscuits and gravy, orange juice, apple juice, coffee, tea and more. Pool stays opens at 6am and closes at 10pm. Pretty good for a morning dive. Would definitely recommend and would definitely return.
