The appetizers are good & so are the drinks. The food is okay and is plated very nicely but is very highly priced. Also, they wouldn’t let us substitute sides which seems a little ridiculous when you’re paying that much for dinner. The ambience is nice. Would go back again but probably just for appetizers and drinks rather than a whole dinner.

Absolutely love the food and the place and the service. We will always come back. Love how they support local and help build small things in our community!!! Was highly impressed with the quality and unique drink selection.

Today was my first ever visiting this place, I did a takeout order. Heard a few good things, so I decided to check it out. I was sat at the bar and placed my order, the Bistec de Havana and Poutine Fries and specifically told them that to NOT add bacon because I am allergic! while I waited I had an old fashion drink, which was alright. I come home to eat not thinking of checking my food because it being a professional establishment, I just started eating and out of nowhere started to feel unease, and I am very sick now with an upset stomach throwing up, itching and breaking out in hives. The food was really good but I threw up - had to take medication before it got worse. Didn’t know who to contact so I wrote a review.

Fabulous!!! A new find for us. Family of five, all had different things and enjoyed sharing nibbles around the tables. Clean, friendly service, very nice outdoor seating as well as in. Portions are gracious, quality of food was amazing. All served hot, including picky eater requests from two children, all done fast and flawlessly Can't wait to go back.

Very busy. The bartender was killing it though. Don't be put off by being put in the waiting area. It's worth it. Great beer and cocktails. The egg in the scotch egg was a little over done but the flavors were good.

My wife and I shared a burger with their amazing fries…so good. Friendly staff and nice drink selection. Been here a few times, will definitely be back and highly recommend this spot.

It was my first time there. I liked the atmosphere. Bartender was very friendly and attentive. The waitress was not very good. She didn’t try to make sincere connection with her customers. Food took almost an hour to be served for a party of 4. The food was not hot and was too salty and we tried to tell the waitress that but I didn’t believe she was going to relay the message to anyone. My Nashville fried chicken was very salty to the point of inedible. The waffle that came with the chicken was not good either. It was trying too hard for presentation but neglected the tastes. I have no desire to go back.

I'm a mystery shopper. Although I wasn't doing that here, I am trained in evaluating customer service. And these guys get zero stars! I've worked customer service and in the restaurant business before. I don't know how their food is because we waited for over 30 minutes for a table mid week non busy with vacant tables with zero communication or acknowledgment from any staff after being told to wait while they quickly clean a table. There were 3 tables available, just dirty the whole time we were there. There was even seating at the bar, but we were told even that was dirty and needed cleaned first. They told us to wait in the waiting area while they cleaned a table. Then, no one ever came back to seat us. We were the only ones waiting there. They weren't at all busy. It was mid week, and we weren't told about a wait time. I'm not sure if it was the age range of people working there, but they didn't seem to care about customers there. They appeared to just be doing "busy work" instead of making customer service priority. They'd run over and answer the phones in a hurry which just showed they have no idea how to prioritize their job. Even if they're short staffed, they could at least go to a customer and let them know it'll be a xx minute wait because they just came off rude. Rude, bad customer service.

Last week on Wednesday, I came here & dined in with a good friend of mine & I was so pleased by the service, hospitality, cleanliness & how delicious the food was! 👍🏽❤️ I was and still impressed because living in Carbondale, IL, you don't have a lot of nice, upscale restaurants that are worth your money, time & appetite but this place is the real deal! 💯🔥👌🏽 P.S. I will definitely be coming back soon. 👍🏽

In town for a football game, and we stumbled upon the Underground. We had no reservations. Seating process was interesting. Waiting area, while seats were empty at the bar. We were seated, and then it was all great after! The bartender, Christina, was the best! The food was all spectacular! Excellent presentations, tastes, freshness, etc. They hit all the marks! If I'm back in Carbondale, this will be a return visit!

Great place for a great variety of drinks and some good food with friends. Some of my friends moved to the area, and I love hitting up this place when visiting them. Service is great, and they know the menu and drink selections, so if you're adventurous like me, make sure to ask for suggestions to try new things.

The food is truly an amazing experience. So many lovely drinks to choose from. Service was great! We really enjoyed our experience.
