This is the only place where you can taste the original taste of Korean food in Carbondale! It is really great! The staffs are very kind and considerate.

Amazing experience. The food was great with generous portions for cheap. The lady who we talked to was so kind. She gave us samples and offered me free kimchi. The wait was also very quick. They deserve more customers and recognition.

The people who run it are amazing and the food was phenomenal! I have gone every week since my first visit and have yet to be dissapointed. I personally recommend the chicken katsu or the japchae noodles!

My sister and I came to eat here and the woman up front was so kind and welcoming. She gave us some samples to try and even gave us free teokbokki. We didn’t have to wait long and the food was very delicious :)

I had placed a catering order for my friend’s birthday party and liked the service and quality of food offered by the ROK staff. I request kimchi jiggae which is not part of their regular menu. They were not only kind enough to make this for us but also gave it to us on the house. The owner worked with me throughout the process, helping me determine the quantity, making sure all individual’s dietary needs were met, and flexible if I needed to change the quantity of things. We ordered chicken and beef gimbap, japchae, spicy chicken, and tofu jiggae - pictured here. Everything was delicious 😊 tofu jiggae is perfect for these cold weather, and japchae and spicy chicken always a big hit with crowds. Do not hesitate if you are considering placing catering order. Visit their food truck for some of these delicacies ☺️

I just recently discovered this business and had no idea it had been open for nearly a year. As a Korean SIU student, I miss all Korean foods and have always had to wait until I return to South Korea, but Rice of Korea satisfied my cravings. I loved the Bulgogi Combo, Angry Chicken (new menu), and beef Kimbap. The taste of these foods reminded me of being in Korea and eating my favorite food. I love it, and it will undoubtedly become one of my go-to lunch options whenever I'm in the mood for Korean foods.
