Didn’t even get to experience the palace. When we arrived there was a tour group of several hundred people waiting in line so we decided to leave and come back after the line died down. When we returned 20 mins later there weren’t as many people in line so we decided to enter at the back end of the tour group we saw earlier. We waited inside for a few minutes as they took their time to move through the first few rooms, thinking we could get a better experience once they moved on. What we didn’t know was in our time waiting another group of several hundred people had arrived down stairs and was beginning to enter right behind us. Once they came upstairs they immediately overtook us and started meandering their way through. It was like livestock being routed to slaughter. We were completely packed in and couldn’t leave even if we wanted to, not only was this a miserable experience since we didn’t get to see anything except the ceiling, but a huge safety concern as well. If there were to be a fire or other emergency we would have had no quick way or escaping besides jumping out the windows into the lake. The rooms were small and everyone was packed in shoulder to shoulder completely oblivious of anything going on around them. I have no idea why these groups are not limited in number or size. I would not recommend visiting here as there was no indication of when or how often these groups would be there and they was a complete waste of money on our part. We even arrived when the Palace first opened to avoid the crowd but ended up being stuck in the middle of the worst crowd we could imagine.

Very unique historical palace with a rich history and great architecture. Definitely worth a visit if you're in this area. I'd suggest purchasing tickets in advance as the line for tickets can be long and the process very slow.

Really great and magical Palace to visit.. we enjoyed the day there until we saw the shameful small cage where hundreds of innocent birds locked up. The entire island is basically a big garden however they decided not to have a single tree in that cage. I hope someone with any connection to animals right organisation to help sorting this.

This place was a pleasant surprise. It was so immaculately detailed, not too crowded when I went and had a good amount of reading to give context to what I was looking at. Lots of paintings, tapestry, sculptures and well manicured gardens. There was a three story sculpture garden that was the most bizarrely interesting thing I have ever seen. I also didn’t expect it to be so intertwined to the history of Europe (a few influential figures of history have been here). Overall good to spend a couple of hours here when visiting isola Bella.

A magical place, lost in time. Give yourself plenty of time to stroll around the palace and gardens without any rush

Worth viewing! The palace is fabulous and the island is charming.

Fangen wir mit den guten Dingen an. Der Palast sowie der Garten ist einfach absolut sehenswert. Die weißen Pfaue muss man mal gesehen haben. Es gibt im Inneren viele schöne Möbel, Bilder und Antiquitäten zu entdecken. Mit Audioguide kann man sich alles gut erklären lassen. Der Rest der Insel ist natürlich ebenfalls richtig sehenswert. Nachteile? Ja, leider. Also auch wenn man ein Liebhaber von Palästen und der damaligen Zeit ist, so sind 20€ Eintritt für einen Erwachsenen eine echte Hausnummer. Da sind Tickets bei vielen anderen berühmten Palästen deutlich billiger und man hat mehr zu sehen. Extrem ärgerlich ist allerdings die Tatsache das man als Rollstuhlfahrer zwar zunächst etwas Geld beim Ticket spart, dann allerdings nur einzelne Teile vom Palast sehen kann und den Garten überhaupt nicht. Der einzige Fahrstuhl im Palast deckt leider nicht alles ab.

My 2nd trip to this area. 1st time? 1975. And, no surprise, nothing has changed. Just as beautiful! Go, visit the lakes of northern Italy!

This is a royal house with various items of art and furniture and a grotto. But I found out for the first time there was such a thing as a white peacock. Food on island pricey but delicious and the vendor also made a pineapple and apple fruit juice in front of me worth it. Worth a visit get a human guide though

5 stars are not enough. One of the most stunning places I have ever seen in my life. The garden is mesmerizing and the Palace as well.

Incredible visual assault. Totally fitting but completely overwhelming array of stucco, wood carvings, gilt, frescos, paintings and crystal chandeliers. The garden reflects the style of the palace but in a calming way. Highly recommend. Allow at least 2 hours for the palace and 1 hour for the gardens.

One of the most beautiful places I’ve seen in my life. Well maintained, not too crowded with a great architectural details and art collection .

Ich kann den Hype um diese völlig überlaufene Insel und Heimat der Abzocker nicht verstehen. Massen an vorwiegend alten Menschen aller Nationen und schlechtes convenience Essen in allen Restaurants bis auf eines am Ende der Insel. Wenn man durch die Gassen schlendert entdeckt man sogar noch die Pizza Kartons vom Großmarkt auf dem Festland, die hier für 16 Euro verkauft werden statt für 4,90 €. 5,20 € für 135 ml schlechten Kaffee runden es dann ab. 35 Euro um da hin gekarrt zu werden mit dem Boot und dann nochmal 20 Euro um den Garten der italienischen Bonzen Familie zu sehen. Die Vegetation war sehr schön gemacht und sehenswert war auch der völlig übertriebene Prunk im Inneren. Die Pfauen allerdings waren nicht wie auf den Werbefotos…

Wunderbare Insel in Italien.Sehr Sehenswürdige Park-und Pflanzen-Bäume-Vogelarten freilaufend oder in großen Volieren. Die Insel ist in allen Bereichen mit umgebauten und wunderbaren Ausstattung von früher bis heute gepflegt sowie nach Jahren ausgestattet.

Sehr schöner Palazzo auf der Isola Bella im Lago Maggiore. Zu belebten Ferienzeiten sollte man sich die Tickets lieber online kaufen, um der Warteschlange zu entgehen. Es gibt auch Ermäßigung für Schwerbehinderte. Der Palast selbst ist ein Hingucker - es bieten sich immer wieder tolle Ausblicke auf den herrlichen Garten & See und auch die Sammlungen und Muschelgrotten sind sehr sehenswert!

Der Besuch hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Es war interessant und lehrreich zugleich. Die Tickets sollten online gekauft werden, um die Warteschlangen beim Eingang zu umgehen. Alles ist zugänglich und kann fotografiert werden.

Einfach traumhaft! Toller Park, sehr schöne und exotische Pflanzen! Muss man gesehen haben! Weiße Pfaue! Leider stellten sie ihr Rad nicht auf, aber sie haben gigantische Töne von sich gegeben! Alles sehr ordentlich und gepflegt! Wir hatten eine coole, sehr gut deutsch sprechende Reiseleiterin!

Ganz nett Titel: Gemischte Erfahrung auf der Inselrundfahrt Unser Besuch auf dieser Insel im Rahmen einer Drei-Insel-Rundfahrt war eine gemischte Erfahrung. Obwohl wir bereits hohe Kosten für unsere Familie eingeplant hatten, dachten wir, dass alles abgegolten wäre. Doch auf der ersten Insel angekommen, stellte sich heraus, dass wir bei glühender Hitze gezwungen waren, zum schlossähnlichen Gebäude Zugang erkaufen zu müssen, um in den Genuss von kalten Getränken zu kommen. Der Eintritt wurde hier in circa 20 € pro Person und top eingefordert. als Mann würden sie sagen, das kann man sich sparen aber wenn die Frau das will, fügt man sich dem Leid. In der Gegend ist ja auch nicht wirklich viel zu entdecken. Von daher hat man sich hierzu breitschlagen lassen. Fazit: ganz nett, Ein übliches Herrenhaus mit alten Bildern und Möbeln. Die Gartenanlage ist tatsächlich sehr sehr schön. Die anderen Inseln finde ich tatsächlich etwas besser. Aber jeder hat seinen Geschmack.

Loved the 3 island trip. The Palace was amazing, grounds spectacular, well worthwhile visiting.

Simply perfect thankyou... so clean...everything perfectly maintained to really enjoy the incredible visions of rooms..gardens...May was a perfect time to go.

Amazing palace in a superb location. The palace has an exquisite Renaissance architecture with its grand façade adorned with intricate details, including ornate sculptures, elegant balconies, and beautiful frescoes. The interior of the palace is equally impressive, boasting luxurious rooms decorated with frescoes, stucco work, and fine art collections.

Fabulous palace in a perfect setting. Allow time time see this properly, I would suggest 2 hours minimum. We avoided the entrance que by buying a combined tickets at Rocca di Angera.
