Lovely experience. The staff were fantastic and the food was good value for money.. Well worth a trip. There was an "Optional" service change (12.5%), but as the staff were really good - it was deserved. Bills is dog friendly - even provided fresh water to the table.

Great bills restaurant! Love their brunch options always great quality assured! Really enjoyed the garden plate just opted to swap eggs to fried! Added buttermilk pancakes with syrup and butter also. Very friendly customer service from all staff the brunch menu runs until late afternoon until 17:30.

Pretty poor service, ignored for 10-15 mins waiting to order as the two staff serving were busy having a chat. Felt awkward asking for service. Food arrived and chicken was over cooked and dry. It had the texture of Jerky. Having given Bills a wide birth for a few years their standards don’t seemed to have improved. If you are new to Cardiff there are plenty of other restaurants to try. On the plus side the decor, building and vibe is fantastic.

Best place in Cardiff with most amazing food and best service from kitchen staff and front staff and manager on duty! 👍👍👍 We had Boxing Day lunch it was fully booked totally packed with families and friends but the staff was amazing under the pressure they managed fast smooth service with care and smiling all the time ! 👏👏👏We where totally impressed ! Nieve looked after us and we big Thanks to her efforts for perfect service 🫶 Thank to her colleague Cariad who helped too 🫶 From our menu choices definitely the best burger is Santa’s and the soup if the day with the cheese sourdough bread is proper homemade warmer we love it ❤️The chocolate profiteroles for 2 is a delicious feast for every chocolate lover 😍 Red whine selections is good but we prefer Organic Wine and it was missing from the menu that’s a little Note from us to the owners for future supply’s 🍷🍷😁 Prices are good for the quality meals and large portions ! Next time we are coming for breakfast too 😃 The cozy atmosphere is perfect for any occasion 👍They are welcoming dogs too 🫶 Parking is free just opposite the restaurant and the location on the bay is beautiful! The charming character of the stone cottage building can not be missed is simply picture perfect 😍 💯% recommended it !!!! From Cardiff centre is £6 by Uber and is totally worth to have your drink and enjoy it by no need to drive 😆

Early breakfast before a shopping trip in the city & we had a very warm & friendly welcome. This is a really great place & the menu was groaning with different breakfast choices. We only wanted something light on this occasion but I look forward to return for something more substantial in future The food was wonderful & the coffee was equally as great. I could have stayed for more than the two cups if time had allowed. We really enjoyed our visit and can highly recommend this lovely place.

We walked in around 16:30, everything seemed ok at first, not at all a busy restaurant, sat outside. I ordered off the set menu, asked for no sauce/no onion on my burger and for dessert while I was there. Food came later with the things I asked to be removed, and a mountain of salt on my fries. Fine, I took them off, wiped off the sauce, and shook off the fries. After we finished eating we waited over 20mins for someone to clear our plates, the waitress caught my eye multiple times but ignored us. Was on her phone again and again. No check backs to ask if our food was okay. We finally asked for help, and asked for the dessert that had apparently been forgotten about. After dessert arrived at our table, we were left waiting with no cutlery. After five minutes of watching my ice cream melt on my plate, we grabbed forks from another table and dug in. Ended up going inside to the waiting station to ask to pay as we had been waiting around for most of our dining experience there today. Was handed the bill, and ended up being charged twice for what I had ordered, overcharged by £15. I usually go to Bills in the centre and have never had a bad experience there but coming down the bay was horrendous, and I will absolutely not be coming back in the future. I had to go back in to ask for the refund, and also asked to have the service charge taken off because of how bad the service had been. Was met with coldness from the person processing my refund when I asked for the service charge to be removed. I'm also in the service industry, usually happily pay service AND tip, but today was absolute garbage. Avoid.

What a fantastic start to your day in Cardiff! The menu has always been pretty good and the service is a standard, excellent! However with the festive season upon us, the addition of these lovely bits makes it even more enjoyable. The Gin-Gle Bells cocktail and the Christmas Truffle Cheese Fondue Burger make Christmas shopping so much more easy and enjoyable. A fantastic and filling lunch which set us both up perfectly. Finished off with a lovely latte and we were 2 very happy people. The server was seriously lovely, accommodating and professional throughout and I couldn’t have wished for more! Highly recommend if you’re doing your Xmas shopping in Cardiff but do yourself a favour and book a table first.

Visited on a Saturday afternoon between lunch and dinner. Busy, but we were seated quickly without a reservation. Ordered some light bites and drinks. Food was nice. Staff friendly and helpful

The hostess/staff member when we arrived was superb in sorting out a suitable space for the 6 of us. The waiting staff were all friendly, couple of minor issues in having to ask for the water for the table multiple times before it arrived, and the dirty vegan burger was hard to cut into, but otherwise enjoyable. rosemary fries seemed like they'd be a good companion, but couldn't tell they'd been seasoned at all

Came here for breakfast on our recent trip down the bay. Super friendly staff and excellent food. Had the plant plate and the pancakes and bacon. Everything was cooked to perfection, and we didn't wait long. Go here whenever we are down the bay

Loved it in here. Came in with my partner. The staff were lovely and very attentive. The food was delicious. We had the cooked breakfast and the quality of the meat and eggs was great. Nice atmosphere in here too. 5 stars 🌟 👍

Lovely place in Cardiff Bay to go for breakfast, brunch/lunch or dinner. The people you work there are friendly and helpful. The food is lovely, a great choice of alcoholic and soft drinks. I had the chicken shawarma and cinnamon doughnuts which were gorgeous. Ground access and a good atmosphere.

Great spot in Cardiff Bay for food. Front can seem unassuming but this is a large building with option for eating outside if the weather permits. Lots of tasty food choices with some generous 3 course and 2 course options at affordable prices. Staff were quick and efficient. Great service with good knowledge of the beers on offer. My first experience at Bill's but not my last.

Been visiting the Bill's in Liverpool for several years now and can confirm the same quality of food, service and general experience and vibe are maintained in Cardiff Bay, made even better by the alfresco seating.

We came to bills for a birthday dinner. The staff were lovely however seemed to be understaffed/under motivated as when we received our courses no one came to check us, this would have been helpful since our steaks we ordered were medium-well done instead of medium-rare which we asked for. The cocktails we had were lovely. The desserts were the best part of the dinner and honestly made the night better. The coffees we had (I’m a barista) were burnt, possibly not noticeable to people who dont make coffee everyday but was a shame would have liked a good coffee with my dessert.

Had great food and drink at Bill's. The atmosphere is always nice, the food always spot on and fills a spot and the staff are always amazing. The staff member serving us today was Andres. They were very nice, looked like they enjoyed their job, always smiling and dressed presentable.

Another fab meal at Bills. Great food, great service at a very reasonable price. I’d book as it is busy at most times. My server was Nieve who really does deserve a special mention, greeted me with a big smile which never left her face, she recommended the cheesecake to me which was delicious. I have been coming to Bills at Cardiff bay for about a year now and hopefully for many more.

I ate there at lunch and the food was great, the workers were also really sweet, Gemma, Dan and Amy, super nice and pleasant! The place is very nice as well!

My Grandson took me for lunch and 'Bill's' was a spur of the moment choice and our first visit. Conveniently placed right next to a car park (not free)it was an okay experience and we might go again. The waitress was helpful but I did feel bombarded with drinks! Having ordered one, carafes of water arrived seconds later. I ordered a fish finger sandwich but the menu didn't mention the 'doorstep' bread. Impossible to eat easily. I brought half of mine home, which was easily arranged. I couldn't put my finger on any problems but although everything was nice, nothing was outstanding. As a price comparison, we only had two main courses here, but elsewhere a few days later had 3 starters, 3 main courses and 2 desserts, all absolutely beautiful for an approximate overall £20 price difference. And a free car park!

Very disappointed with our breakfasts this morning. Both my husband's and my coffees came lukewarm then both breakfasts arrived barely warm and although these were changed for warm replacements, the mushrooms were really dry, fried eggs overcooked, sausage pretty tasteless and toast hard and dry. We didn't enjoy the experience having had to wait a long time and still didn't end up with great meals. Even though the staff were pleasant and offered additional free drinks while waiting the second time (which we didn't need/want), the bill came with everything full price and a 12.5% service charge included! Won't be dining at Bill's again.

Great place for food, a regular go-to for dinner when my family come to visit. The set menu is good value and the decor is lovely.

Best chips ever tasted and all there chicken burgers are genuinely the best around. The amount you get for what you pay for is very reasonably priced and the environment is very really chill

Really enjoyed Bill's Brunch - a full on full English. Little one loved the pancakes with syrup and lots of fruit. Plenty of space and great staff. 👍

Excellent gluten free breakfast menu choices (such as this stack of pancakes). Also, a great selection of traditional breakfast items. Easily, worth a stop if anywhere nearby.

Always lovely coming here. Staff are great. They all know their menus inside out. Always a warm welcome. Food is yummy. The chicken sesame dumplings were fantastic but the carrot cake doughnuts were sublime!

Pre show meal, with a pre booked table ready upon arrival. Fantastic staff where nothing was two much trouble. Efficient service allowing us enough time to get to the theater, for the start of the performance. 👊

Atmospheric establishment right near the Cardiff Bay. I like the fact that the old docks building was repurposed in such a nice way instead of falling apart. Food is good and staff members really look after your experience. Perfect for lunch or a casual dinner with your +1. Chicken burger 🍔 is my favourite so far. Deep fried calamari is really mouth watering once served correctly (right @Bill's? 😉).

This is a lively and pleasant place to have cocktails and a meal. We enjoyed the food and the staff are welcoming, friendly and efficient. We will come again.

My 2nd visit to Billy's for breakfast. I walked syraight past all the trendy places to eat in Cardiff bay because I knew I would get a nice 'all day breakfast' at this business. My breakfast was actually very very nice indeed. Perfectly cooked and delivered to my table nice and hot. Spot on. Also it was nice to ask for a pot of tea and actually get a proper pot of tea! not one of those silly tiny things many places bring. The meal was fairly priced for the location but im not keen personally on the service charge as I would rather reward good service how I feel apropriate. The charge was not too bad though. Now to the not so positive stuff....... The upstairs gents toilet was unclean around the WC area and altough it may of been a scruffy recent customer the facility should be checked more ofter perhaps. The only other thing was that the main Gents toilet door felt 'tacky' to the touch.... really not nice at all. Apart from that the staff were great and I will definately be going there again.

Lovely lunch at Bill's in the bay. Didn't book a table but were offered a table outside in the terrace area which was well spaced out and pleasant in the sunshine. Staff pleasant and polite, food always tasty and consistent standard. Not the cheapest but worth it in my opinion for the guarantee of good food and an enjoyable experience. Edit: back for lunch again and same as always. Good service and food

Much better than the cardiff central one! Nothing again them just this one is better. The tables are a decent size, its a lot less crowded. Its definitely cleaner. The staff are nice at both but here felt like they were able to take more time to explain things and attend to customers. The whole feeling and vibe is a lot more relaxed. I like the options of the outdoor and indoor seating. Overall this keeps bills high standard, and is why if i just want to grab breakfast or brunch ill always just go for a bills.

We had such a lovely time! Angela took great care of us! The food was delicious, the calamari for starter was delicious and the buttermilk burger was great as well! We totally recommend this place ☺️ they even gave our dog a sausage during the meal! So thoughtful! Super friendly staff and dog friendly as well!

We hadn't booked and we could see it was busy (27th Dec 6.45pm) but the host said we could come back in half an hour and we did it was much quieter too!! (7.15pm) The service was excellent, attentive and very friendly. The food was delicious, served piping hot and very tasty! Drinks were priced high for me (£9 for a glass of wine.) We paid overall £60 for two drinks one starter and two mains. We would visit again and I'd recommend if you're in the area !
